Other half

Gabimaru was processing the information Higanbana revealed to him. A part of him had caught his interest but then he remembered what Ms. Bushida said.

(Ms. Bushida made it quite clear that if my powers are ever exposed I'll be a target in the whole supernatural world. I can't put her through that and I don't know if I can handle that pressure to always look out for danger.)

"I'll think about it Ms. Higanbana, that sounds very appealing to me," Gabi told a lie through his teeth to the great Higanbana.

(I don't want to put Ms. Bushida and Mr. Kenji endangered. Ms. Bushida has been with me since I was born and even though I just met Mr. Kenji I can already tell he's a good person and he's putting his life on the line to just help me out. Doing this is like betraying their trust.)

" You'll think about it?" Higanbana scoffed at the boy, " When will you realize that people will continue to look down on you if you don't take action." Higanbana lost her temper.

" It's just that I can't.." Gabi's sentence was put to an end when Higanbana roared her dominance to the jittery boy.

"It's just nothing!" She stepped closer to the boy, " Do you want to see how they abandoned you, looked down on you, and left you with nothing but misery!" She began provoking the boy and with every insult she made the more Gabi kept shirking.

Gabi was kneeling trying to hold back his tears and he looked at Higanbana with watery eyes and shouted, " Ms. Bushida did not abandon me! Just because I was mistreated I will not stoop down to their level to get payback." Gabi said with confidence to prove the fuming Higanbana to let her know he was serious.

Higanbana was taken aback by what he said but still disappointed in his response. " Sure, continue being a coward and watch the day that person you mention is always on your side, she will leave you there standing alone. If your own family can do that to you what's the difference from a stranger." Higanbana smirks at him and the room becomes a hologram of Gabi's past. Many moments where he wanted to keep these upsetting times buried away were flashing right in front of his eyes.

(Please make it stop. I don't want to relive it!)

Gabi was in his favorite curled-up position hiding his head in between his thighs trying not to see the numerous holograms that were replaying his tormenting life.

" Why are you hiding? grow up and accept this. Do you think that mere woman will keep being there for you? New flash she won't. " Higanbana was taunting the boy.

All Gabi can do is plead with Higanbana to stop what she was doing, "Stop it stop it stop it!"

" Why should I? Face this reality we live in Gabi I'm trying to help you not to sugarcoat your feelings. The scars that were left on your damaged soul will not heal if you don't take action. Remember when you killed your mother? Did it feel good right? That moment when you display your powers on her to show her who's in control." Higanbana grabbed Gabi's hair and lifted his head to face her "Remember what I said yesterday?"

Gabi slowly was nodding his head with tears dripping off his chin that resembled a waterfall. " That's my boy. I'm the other half of you just accept me and you will never be alone again. Who cares about the other beings out there when you have me." she took her finger to wipe the tear stains off his face, " Don't cry because the top dog never cries."

While Higanbana was giving the raw truth to Gabi in his slumberland on the other hand the world of the living, complications were coming to Aiko and Kenji way.

Aiko pov

"I feel their presence, Kenji, " She informed the concentrated Kenji who was performing the high-risk operation on Gabimaru's body.

" Handle them Aiko make sure you stay upstairs and tell them the scenario we rehearsed earlier," Kenji orders Aiko.

Aiko rushed to the door and greeted the infuriated Mr.Gojo and Satoru." good morning Mr. Gojo and young master Satoru" Aiko bowed and welcomed them in.

(I need to play this off well or else this plan will be for nothing.)

The Gojo family walked into the living area and surveyed the room before making themselves comfortable. Aiko started the conversation so wouldn't be suspected.

" What brings you guys here in the morning, " Aiko asks in the friendliest manner she can portray.

" We came here to see you and Gabi," Mr. Gojo followed Aiko's lead and masked his irritating feelings from Aiko.

" Oh, did something happen that you wanted to tell us? And where is Ms. Gojo she's normally here with you guys." Aiko tries to spice up the conversation to reveal his true agenda about this, " friendly act"

When Mr. Gojo heard about his wife his welcoming charms became unpleasant real quick like a flick of a light switch.

(Here we go now. Let's see you walk right into my trap Mr. Gojo.)

This time Satoru had taken action in the conversation when he noticed his dad lost his cool. " So you weren't at the Gojo's residence last night? Because before I left I saw that incompetent brother of mine there. So where is he?" Satoru questioned Aiko.

(One thing about Satoru is that he is extremely observant. I need to watch out for him. I can't let my feelings take over.)

" After you left I quickly took him out, we went out to eat and took a stroll and we ended up here to mess with Kenji," Aiko simply answered.

" Oh, is that so." Gojo raised his right eyebrow, " Then where is he?" Gojo questioned Aiko.

"He and Kenji are on a hiking and fishing trip. I believe they should have some time alone since Gabi is not used to having a father figure, '' Aiko took a glance at Mr. Gojo to see if he was fazed by what she said but as normal he didn't care. "But like I asked earlier, what's the meaning of this ?" Aiko questioned the two.

"We just wanted to know what happened last night. We were welcomed by our dead servants and I can't find my wife anywhere" Mr. Gojo bluntly said.

(Time to act now.)

"Oh my gosh, that's terrible. Who would do something like that, do you have any clues about where she might be? " Aiko put on her concerned face and hoped they would fall for her performance.

" No, that's why we came here to ask you if you have seen something but since you two weren't at the residence then I guess we can put an end to the pointless talk." Satoru harshly said.

Mr. Gojo and Satoru were leaving the residence but Satoru looked back at Aiko, "Kenji wasting his time trying to spend time with that waste of cum. " Satoru smirked and exited the house.
