6 New School Year

3 months later

Outside at the school grounds, a man with blue hair fell down as he rolled on the ground. Dust and sand covered his uniform as he gritted his teeth in frustration. His cursed energy flowed out off his hand as he pulled out twin daggers that was sheathed on his back. This was Arai Isao who was glaring in front of him.

Gojo stood in front of him with his iconic smile while eating dangos on a plate. "Want to continue or not. Frankly it doesn't really change anything since I'll still eat the dangos and you... well you'll lose like always."

Arai scoffed as he sheathed back his daggers. "You have a sweet tooth despite being one of the most powerful sorcerers."

"You mean 'The most powerful sorcerer'."

"Not yet. Geto-senpai is a top contender for that title." Arai retorted. It was true as at this moment both looked at each other as equals despite them always saying they were better. And after these three months, he's been seeing them in action.

Seeing their power motivated him further as he subconsciously looked up to them as the pinnacle of power that he had to achieve. A sense of drive that he had grew to the point of being his sole goal here.

Before it was getting strong enough to defend himself. But now his goal was to catch up to these two. He knew that being strong like Gojo and Geto would be practically impossible yet it was that impossible goal that brought him even more determination.

But Gojo kept annoying him. Flaunting his power and showing his superiority with every opportunity he could find. And worse, he had to use weapons from Gojo who took from his clan's vault and still couldn't even put a scratch on him.

"...rai. Arai." He snapped out of his thoughts as he looked behind him to see Mei there. She had that smile on her face. A smile that he could never understand its meaning behind. Mei had light blue hair and wore a suit and tie with her hair kept in a high ponytail and two parallel bangs that left her face completely unobscured.

"Mei-senpai, what are you doing here? Didn't you have a mission with Utahime-senpai?" Arai asked.

"I just finished it. Principal Yaga is asking for you. It's time for you to meet your new classmates."

"So they're finally here huh." Arai said unsure of what he should expect. While staying here, he had meet with most of his upperclassmen. Especially the first year students who are now seconds years like Gojo and Geto.

They taught him much about this world and his strength slow increased with the sparring he had. Though not by much. Arai still didn't understand why he was so weak. He trained a lot and worked hard yet his strength barely increased. His amount of curse energy was just not sufficient enough.

Arai sighed thinking about this as he walked to Principal Yaga's office who was just promoted. He knocked on the door as he heard to enter and did as told. Arai walked in and saw two more people there other than Yaga.

One was a young man with short dark hair, thin eyebrows and wide passionate eyes. He wore a standard Jujutsu High uniform with his jacket unbuttoned. On his hips seemed like a leather bag that stored something within it.

The other is a tall, well-built man with blonde hair styled with a neat part. He has very thin eyebrow with the standard uniform and looked unfazed seeing Arai.

Yaga who saw him stood up from his chair. "Arai, you came at the right time. These are your classmates from now on. Introduce yourselves."

The black haired one introduced himself first. "I'm Haibara Yu! You can call me Yu. Hope we get along!" This boy seemed energetic and cheerful. He had an innocent smile on himself and looked optimistic.

The blonde haired boy then introduced himself. "Nanami Kento. Nice to meet you." He seemed reserve and a bit anti-social yet at the same time tried to be as respectable as possible.

"I'm Isao Arai. Nice to meet you two." Arai introduced himself.

"I'll call you Arai then!" Yu shook Arai's hand. 'This guy is way too extroverted. Most people won't let themselves be called by their first name right at the start yet he introduced himself with it. Guess all sorcerers really are weirdos.'

On the other hand, Nanami looked quite serious. He didn't have any joy or appreciation from meeting him. Not even curiosity. He only saw everyone here as colleagues and not people he would get along with. Unfortunately-

"Why are you reserved? Let's go do something fun like sparring." Yu suggested or more like demanded as he dragged both Arai and Nanami out of the room. Yaga who saw this smiled wearily.

"Haibara kind of reminds me of Gojo in a way. Never listens and just does what he thinks is right." Yaga sighed but smiled when he saw them. "Looks like I won't have to worry about them not getting along."

Meanwhile, Haibara had just brought them to the training ground with an innocent smile on him. The other two who were now covered in dust weren't very happy with the situation.

{AN: Just between you and me. Arai already had dust on him since he got rekt by Gojo.}

"Alrighty then! Let's get this battle started." Pure fighting intent was visible in his eyes as his cursed energy flowed through him. Haibara was a semi-second grade student and he was at the top of the rank. His cursed technique was quite useful and versatile and depending on the environment. He could be a force of nature.

Nanami who saw this pulled out a blunt blade wrapped in a seal that had a wooden handle. He too began using his cursed energy. Nanami was currently a second-grade student and his intellect was one of his most redeeming attributes. Though his cursed technique isn't flashy, it was powerful in the hands of someone like Nanami.

Arai took on his position as pulled out two daggers from his back and stated one word. "Fight." It was a key word as it released his curse energy. Arai always had a pack within himself. And it was that if he were to state 'fight', then his curse energy that was limited would then release. Though even with that, his curse energy was far inferior to both as it only increased his curse energy by 8%.

"I don't mind testing you guys." Yu said with a smile.

"Tsk. I come all the way here and the first thing I do is fight." Nanami commented.

"Let's get this done quick." Arai said as he cracked his neck.

All three of them now didn't care about what happened before. They all wanted to see the capabilities of each. Though for different reasons. Haibara simply wanted to witness the strength of his classmates.

Nanami wanted to see and judge the abilities of his colleagues. After all, they would one day cover his back. If they were incompetent than he wouldn't trust them.

Arai was the one with the biggest goal. He wanted to prove himself, to show that he could be standing here and deserve it. All this time training yet he always lost. Though he didn't lose his drive, his confidence had indeed been shaken a bit. So comparing himself with people his age, that was what he wanted to test.

To test whether he could keep up with them. Or to be left behind.

This fight would determine that.
