19 Hidden Inventory III

"HAAH!!"

The rooftop was struck by a staff destroying it. With the dust settling, Mimoko twirled the staff making the dust go away. On her weapon, there was little pink leaves attached to it with brown roots rooted inside of it.

"So that's her technique huh."

"Yeah, it's pretty unique."

Haibara and Nanami were up against Mimoko and despite being a 2 against one, they were struggling a bit. She had by far way more experience than them and she was skilled. But the thing that was difficult was her curse technique.

Both sides were trying to find opportunities within this battle. Mimoko knew that she was the disadvantage so she had to not drag this fight. Making this fight as short as possible was the best way to win.

'And that's not all, they put up a barrier so that no one can see us nor get hurt. The civilians below are completely unaware of us despite us causing so much chaos. I'm pretty sure it also has the effect of not letting anyone get out of here. They're not leaving any openings either.'

The leaves on her staff grew more and more as they almost completely enveloped it. 'I guess I've got no choice.'

"My curse technique isn't that great at all." Mimoko started revealing her technique. "It's weak, a pathetic technique. That was what everyone told me. I mean how could growing peach leaves be so threatening."

'She's revealing her technique.' Nanami thought.

Revealing one's technique will amplify its effects making it more powerful than before.

"This technique gives me the ability to form peach leaves. It's simple really. But what's so good about it is that I don't need to create them. I can take existing ones and use my technique on them making it a very good curse energy conductor."

She demonstrated by taking one of the leaves and using her curse technique. The bright pink leaf turned into a darker color when it was applied.

"And if I apply curse energy within them."

The leaf enveloped by curse energy was thrown by her and pierced right through the iron door.

"They get strong and sharp just like this."

Haibara smirked. "Thanks for the lesson, how much do I have to pay you again?" Around his body, clay began being made into armor.

[Clay Technique: Knight!]

"With your life!"

[Blossom Technique: Scarlet Nail.]

Dozens if not hundreds of leaves gathered around her, they all turned into a darker shade of their color with curse energy wrapping around it.

'She omitted the fact that she can control the leaves without any physical contact to have a hidden card!' Haibara clenched his teeth as he gathered his clay. 'Against an opponent that can throw large amount of attacks like her, Nanami is in the worst situation. I also don't have that much clay on me since it's heavy but she does as leaves aren't that heavy so they can be transported in mass quantity with ease.'

'This is going to be tough.' Both looked at each other and nodded. They both dashed to opposite directions dodging the horde of projectiles.

Mimoko who saw this rubbed her chin with her thoughts. 'So they're trying to separate the amount of leaves I can control. They know that I have a limit, I can only control in the low hundreds. If I could control thousands then I'd have already been promoted to a grade 1 sorcerer.'

Since the leaves were imbued with her curse technique then that'd mean that control over them was easier but since she had to control hundreds of them. It was going to be taxing on her, both curse energy and mentally.

'I can last for about 7 minutes, probably 4 since they'll keep trying to attack me. That would mean that I have to finish this fight in that time! I won't mess up.' Mimoko gritted her teeth and launch her attacks at them.

'Damn, her attacks have such a wide range. It's time to use the plan.' Haibara gathered a large amount of clay and sent it to Nanami. The clay that was surrounding became a thick layered dome. While the dome was closing, Haibara could see Nanami smile.

"I see, he's trying to protect his teammate first. Since he has armor on himself, he will be sustaining less damage. How dumb of you!" Mimoko cackled and focused her attacks on Haibara.

"How dumb can you be! To protect your friend before yourself! If you gave him armor instead of that dome then he'd have suffer a bit but he would of been fine, now you alone need to take the brunt of everything!"

Under the entire force of her attacks, Haibara was beginning to be more and more injured. Cuts were formed on his clothes and blood seeped through his wounds. The pain he could feel was immense, to him it was like having his skin being pierced by nails and dragging it along.

'This hurts! But this won't be enough to stop me!'

Placing his hands to the ground, all of his remaining clay transformed a giant wave going straight to Mimoko.

'What?! He still has that much clay on him, it's able to make a wave that will sweep through anything on its path. But it's slow since the weight of clay is too much. If it was water then I'd have been caught in it. Thankfully, I have the perfect move against this.'

[Blossom Technique: Wind Petal.]

The peach leaves gathered towards her legs and made a platform in the shape of a petal. It gathered and almost looked like an actual giant petal. She lifted her finger and as if the petal was alive, it began floating until it managed to fly dodging Haibara's attack.

"You'll never be able to catch me with clay. It's way too slow." She said mocking him.

"Hmph, we'll see about that."

He reached his hand to the clay and when made contact. It turned into a hand that reached 4 meters in length. It was coming towards her and was trying to grab her!

'A surprise attack! He made it seem as if it was his last ditch effort but he was still able to muster this.' Gritting her teeth, she began feeling the effects of using her technique for too long.

'I'm almost reaching my limit here. I'm also keeping an eye out for that blonde one but I can't face both. I've got to finish this now!'

Clasping her hands together, she brought forth all her curse energy.

[Blossom Technique: Autumn's Fall!]

Jumping back, she commanded her leaves to go straight to Haibara. With that command, they all flew at lightning fast speed and came crashing onto Haibara. The hand that was about to grab hold of her was completely shredded apart. His armor was beginning to fall apart and with almost no clay left on him, he became vulnerable for a finishing blow.

Seeing that, Mimoko took out her staff and swung it straight towards his head.

"This is the end!" She shouted gleefully.

But as it neared him, the two of them heard a voice beside them.

[Ratio Technique: Collapse!]

Without a moment to react, both Mimoko and Haibara felt their footing falter as they realized that where they were standing. It completely collapsed, with nothing to hold on to both began falling from the rooftop.

'This guy! He wasn't protecting that blonde kid, he was covering him out of sight with that dome so that he could gather enough curse energy to completely cut away my footing. Since it holds curse energy as well, it was hard for me to notice the immense amount of curse energy he was gathering! It must be some type of curse technique since there's no way he can cause this much damage by himself.'

Mimoko glared at Haibara who when saw her glaring at him winked at her. 'And since I went airborne then that other kid forcefully placed me on the ground so that their plan can be set in action. DAMN IT!!'

"Warn me next time Nanami!" Haibara shouted.

Mimoko who heard this widened her eyes as she looked back to the dome of clay that was falling with them and saw Nanami coming out of it.

"I'm not giving her have a chance of getting away. This ends now."

"Then let's do that."

[Clay Technique: Atlas!]

A gigantic pillar formed from the last of Haibara's clay and was thrown directly at Mimoko. With her falling, she had to use the remaining of her curse energy to make herself float but with the pillar that idea was out. She was an easy target now. Having no other choice but to block the blow

"Damn it! You guys are so persistent!" Focusing the power within the center, the pillar broke apart scattering the pieces and obstructing her view.

But as she destroyed it, from the rubble she saw Nanami using the debris as stepping stones. His right hand was bleeding due to having used such a destructive move like [Collapse] and was wrapped in a dotted pattern wrapped in bandages.

Looking at her falling figure, Nanami's eye flashed through the glasses. 10 black lines along one long one appeared on her body. With a 7 to 10 ratio, he pulled his fist back and with all his might just on one of the rubble expelling him forward.

Mimoko widened her eyes as she realized how close he was. She could no longer use her curse technique at the moment and exploiting that fact, Nanami took up that opportunity.

"Sit down."

Nanami said before punching her straight to the gut.

*GAAHH!*

Nanami's technique was the most devastating out of his peers.

Mimoko coughed up blood while her mind was blank. A crack could be heard from having her ribs broken.

But Nanami didn't let up as he kept going kicking her right in the face. His blows were devastating and she couldn't regain her control. Her concentration was completely broken. The fall soon came to and end as they both landed onto the barrier.

Looking down below, he could see people walking by oblivious that a fight had just happened.

With this one well placed attack, he made a semi-first grade sorcerer out of commission.

"Ouch. That really hurts." Getting up, he patted the clay dust off of him.

Coming down as well, Haibara slid down with a rope made out of clay. "Good thing you set it up beforehand."

Nanami tied her with his bandage restraining her. "I'll go help Isao. He might be in trouble. You stay here and cover your wounds. They aren't life threatening but it's better to make sure there won't be any permanent damage."

"Hehe... I may have taken too much attacks. Guess I'm still not as good as you Nanamin." Haibara smiled sheepishly while awkwardly rubbing the back of his head.

"It's Nanami."

{AN:

I need to know your opinion on a decision.

Basically there is going to be a timeskip but I want to ask whether you guys want me to show how the MC became stronger or show the reason as to why he got stronger but not write a chapter on it.

In simpler terms, want me to show the process or just skip to the end product while slowly unravel the reason.}
