A Dreamy Life III

In Nao's bedroom, she had just opened her eyes and woke up. She rubbed her eyes as it felt difficult to open her eyes. She stretched her arms which made a cracking sound from them being so stiff.

She had just woken up from a dream, there she meet a man with blue hair and green eyes. He was her savior from the incident a year ago where she was kidnapped by sorcerers and were planning to turn her into their weapon.

It was frightening to her but he was luckily there for her, saving her at her darkest hours.

But he wasn't just her savior, he had come back after a year to offer her the dream that she had always wished for.

To take away her disabilities, she knew it was impossible to fix them. Not even reverse curse technique can but he could.

All she had to do was take a leap of faith and accept it. Accepting his hands, the world she was in was engulfed by a light that took over even the horizon.

And that was the last thing she remembered before waking up.

Her eyes opened as she could now see. The vivid colors of what she could only assume was the sun and the sky. She was no longer blind.

Ecstatic, she tried to feel if she could now have the other senses. She rushed down to her kitchen and saw her father cook holding a kind of metal long item that was used to swirl a kind of liquid.

"Hm? Nao you're awake already? It's Saturday-"

But she ignored what he said and rushed to what her father was cooking. Immediately she was hit with a smell, she didn't know how to describe it but she knew that it a fragrance that she herself liked to smell.

Dipping her finger into the stew, she put it in her mouth and a taste exploded in her mouth.

Her senses that were gone throughout her entire life had manifested.

She began crying as tears of joy flowed down her cheeks.

Her father who was surprised she rushed here and tasted the soup he made grabbed her. "Nao, what are you doing this early in the morning? Did something happen?" Her father was concerned as she was never this rash.

She couldn't stop crying but not out of sadness but out of joy. Joy that she could finally experience the feelings that the world had hidden from her. All she wants to do is have a happy life, getting her senses is only the first step.

But with her father here, she didn't need to worry about it as they would happily live ignoring the Jujutsu world that they left behind.

Later her father would get a notice from a letter detailing what had happened, the price to pay was simply taking care of an orphaned girl. Supposedly her brother was killed in an accident but coming from someone he knew the identity of.

The only conclusion he could reach was that something went wrong in a mission and now the girl's brother was dead leaving the orphan behind.

Though he didn't peek too deep into it as he left the sorcerer ways behind, he would repay the favor he was due.

The favor for saving her child and now giving her light.

This was the least he could do to her savior.

To his savior.

Unknown to the two, Arai was kneeling down on their rooftop. He clutched his chest and mouth and looked in pain. Vomit spilled from his mouth as tried to desperately hold it in. His body felt as if it was being trapped my burning coal.

His innards felt as if it wanted to throw away everything inside of him. His heart rate exploded through the roof as it entered the 250 BPM.

Arai could not focus or form any thoughts as this unfamiliar pain overwhelmed all his senses.

But deep down he knew what it was, the cause of this phenomenon.

It was the transformation that he was achieving but taking in a gift from the heavens was not without its consequences.

Arai would have to pay for it.

His eyes slowly losing the bright green eyes he held, his sense of smell and taste was deteriorating.

But one thing was getting more and more clear, the enormous amount of cursed energy that he could only wish for was being gathered within him and a new seventh sense had been given to him.

Slowly, the pain he felt gradually faded away as smoke came out of his mouth. His eyes now void of any color but white.

Arai with much effort stood back up with a wide smile. Cursed energy flowed through his body as he took in the enormous amount of power he now held.

Holding his throat, he tried to speak but only a hoarse voice came out without forming into any words.

Arai was now mute, blind and could not taste nor smell.

Still Arai smiled as he could now gain power, he needed to sacrifice some things to gain other.

A small price to pay for power.

The cursed energy that Nao held was already greater than that of a semi-special grade with minimal training. In the hands of someone who could use it better, this power could be frightening to some.

Added with his own amount, Arai could now be graded as a semi-first grade just by the amount of cursed energy he wielded.

With his battle IQ, cursed tools, shikigamis and unique innovative moves he could make with his innate cursed technique, it would not be too far fetched to say that Arai held the right to become a first grade sorcerer.

Though Arai would need to adapt to his new power.

Still, he knew this would not be enough to face against people like Geto. It was but an inconvenience to them. A mouse transformed into a rat, at the end of the day, a trap will be able to kill them.

But his growth would not stop here.

'Why stop only for one, when you can get more.' Arai thought looking forward to the plans he made for himself.

Thinking back to all of his struggles blaming his talent for his incompetence but in truth it wasn't his talent that made him weak. True his innate technique manifested later than most and didn't seem like it had any combat focus.

But that was simply because he didn't use his imagination.

His technique gave him so much potential to become stronger.

Arai maybe have had a late start compared to others but he would catch up to them.

One day, he would stand at the top alongside Gojo.

Before he had always thought that others were blessed and that he was not.

But in reality, he was the blessed one.
