4 Projection Sorcery and it's Improvements

Projection sorcery, Naoya's curse technique passed down to him through his father allowed him to achieve his position as a Grade 1 sorcerer. The Zenin's grading system has him as a Special Grade 1, but in the end, he's only a Grade 1 sorcerer. he is in the upper echelon of the grade 1 tier, but he isn't close to being a Special grade.

The way his technique works is that with one second, the user can divide that one second into 24 frames. Similar to a movie or a show, there is a number of frames moving in every second that goes by which creates a continuous moving image. With projection sorcery, the user can think about the movements that are used in that one second, and through activation, their body executes the predetermined actions.

This allows the user to move at inhuman speeds, making even Special Grade Curses unable to keep track of the user. Furthermore, the user's speed can continuously build if projection sorcery is used constantly in battle, but there is an upper limit to the body's acceleration. However, anything that isn't able to abide by the sequence generated in the frames is frozen, turning into a frame for one second, a freeze frame essentially.

In this state, the target is incredibly vulnerable to attack, the frames shatter easily on impact. Naoya can make use of this rule by touching an opponent, activating his curse technique on them, and forcing them to abide by the sequence he's generated, but since they don't know the sequence, they are turned into a freeze frame.

In regards to the user, they can't imagine how the opponent will react to an attack from them if they make a sequence with a frame showing the reaction of the target to getting hit. For example, the target's head is destroyed with a single punch. This applies even if the target's head can actually be destroyed in a single punch.

The technique is restrictive in regards to the laws of physics, thus the user can't do anything that excessively ignores the laws, otherwise, they turn into a freeze frame. The greatest feat Naoya has done before his first black flash is that he mastered the ability to walk on air.

Upon realizing he needs to be in contact with an object and use cursed energy, he gathers cursed energy on the bottom of his feet, creating a thin layer that's in contact with the air molecules and uses his technique to freeze them in place, creating a platform to push himself off of.

Since this is possible, when he maps out his course using projection sorcery, he doesn't freeze allowing him to move in the air, essentially air walking. But in order for this to be possible, he made a binding vow regarding this technique, placing conditions to meet in order to use his curse technique on all the molecules in the layer of cursed energy under his feet. After constant usage, the ability is no longer he needs to think about, his body is able to do it on command.

That was the last upgrade he had made to the technique as a whole, till he gained Reverse Curse Technqiue and subsequently Curse Technqiue Reversal. Over the course of 6 months and 24 days, before the Night Parade of Hundred Demons which would be caused by Suguru Geto, an old classmate, Naoya has made exponential progress.

Curse Technique Reveral creates the opposite effect of his base technique, the best example is with a rock. While holding a rock in his palm, if Naoya used his base technique effect, imagining the rock moving from his palm without any force causing it to move, the rock would have been freeze-framed. But with Curse Technique Reversal, that sequence of events is now possible, the rock accelerates from Naoya's palm, disregarding the laws of physics, and smashes through multiple trees with ease.

In essence, the restrictions placed on the usage of base Projection Sorcery are null and void when using Curse Technique Reversal, thus being able to ignore the laws of physics and the other constrictions his technique had.

One factor that has remained constant through the activation of Projection Sorcery is the fact that anything to get affected by the technique must be in contact with the user's cursed energy.

The increase in Naoya's curse energy understanding from learning Reverse Curse Technique has given him a buff in cursed energy enhancement, allowing Naoya to surpass his father in speed, making him the second fastest sorcerer behind Satoru Gojo.

This is why he's been training, switching between experimenting with his applications and gaining experience to use regular cursed energy and positive energy in tandem, thus being able to use his base technique and curse technique reversal.

The constant use of the Reverse Curse Technique kept increasing his cursed energy amount as the technique is quite draining, using double the amount of cursed energy normally uses.

Naoya's new understanding of his technique in tow, he proceeded to experiment with the various applications his technique allowed him to accomplish, making great headway in his abilities.

One such ability is applying Curse Technique Reversal on a target, picturing a sequence of their upper body flying back, effectively slicing them in half from the midsection.

Another is simply applying a sequence of their body disassembling into various chunks, adjustable to the way, like turning them into cubes or watching their blood and guts stain whatever they come in contact with.

Naoya wasn't done. He knew this for a fact, he has more in store to discover, to quantify the upper limits of his new abilities but he needed to push that far, to have worthy sacrifices for confirmation.

With his newfound strength in his abilities, Naoya now needed experience using them in battle, and what better timing was it for his former senior, Suguru Geto to declare war on Jujutsu Tech?
