10 The Hound

"Mr. Shida... Mr. Shida, class is about to start in 10 minutes."

Feeling a light shake to my body, my head slowly lifted out of its resting position on my chair's headrest. My eye's awakening to a well-lit classroom gazed over to the young girl standing in front of me. A student I teach named Oe Naoki, she was a smart and docile girl.

Getting out from behind my desk, I began stretching my arms before letting out a small yawn.

"Thank you, Ms. Oe."

Nodding her head, she walked over to her seat and sat down before pulling out her notebook containing her work.

'As hard working as ever.'

Praising her studious behavior, I turned around and wrote today's lesson on the board.

'Today's reading David and Goliath.'

Finishing writing the words on the board I sat at my desk waiting for my students. While waiting I looked out the window looking at the beautiful sky.

'I wonder if they'll be alright. It should officially be about a year, right?'

After my 'Death' I decide to leave the Jujutsu world, to be realistic there isn't nothing to really do until I wait for the main plot to happen. This isn't the Heian era where curses and curse users are running around dominating the world. So, I decide to wait and pursue one of my other interest, teaching.

My face scrunched thinking about my current situation.

'Although I was able to fake my identity I couldn't just teach wherever. I ended up hear in this cockroach infested school.'

While thinking this a bell rang throughout my room, signaling the end of the last block. Hearing the hallway by my room fill with loud talking and even louder arguing caused me to let out a sigh. But it didn't end there the door to my classroom was suddenly and rudelys lammed opened.

Looking at my door, I saw a blonde hair boy enter and sit down at a desk before laying his head down. Behind him where more delinquent looking students. A fat one, a skinny one, and an average looking one.

"Hey, Masaki you want to go to the arcade after school."

The fat one looked at the blond hair boy before sitting down near him. The two other boys sat near him as well. They all looked at him while he laid his head down.

'Like fucking dogs.'

Sitting at my desk I watched the whole encounter. The blond hair boy who to my displeasure was my student didn't respond only continuing to lay his head down. The fat boy didn't repeat his question and only looked at the other boys starting a conversation.

As my room slowly filled with students, I got up from my desk grabbing a paper I looked forward at the class.

"Today we will be continuing reading David and Goliath, before we start, I'll call roll. Just say here."

Some of the students listened to me, some just continued talking ignoring me completely.

As I called out the roll, I heard running in the hallway before my door was swung open. The class gazed over to the sudden addition to the class. Standing there out of breath was a boy with blonde hair, but I could tell that he had dyed it a long time ago. His brown roots where showing.

"Nishimoto, Your late."

Nishimoto Koji, if I had to describe him, it would be absolutely cliche.

"Sorry sensei."

The boy scrambled to the back right of the class before sitting down to the seat next to Oe.

The Blonde boy from earlier lifted his head from the loud noise the Nishimoto had made only slightly turning his head towards him.

Masaki Iwao, the blonde looked at the boy like he was a king looking a lame man before laying his head back down.

After the boy sat down, I began roll call again. After finishing, reaching for a box under my desk. I handout a book to everyone before sitting back down at my desk.

"Everyone open your books to where we left off."

Opening their books, I could tell few actually planned to read it. While sitting there I let out a silent sigh before asking a question to the whole class.

"Anyone want to read for the class today."

Not a single hand went up. As I looked around the class, I saw a few heads down, looking at Masaki I knew no matter what that he wouldn't read. My eyes fell on Nishimoto who head was leaning on his hand slowly falling asleep.

"Mr. Nishimoto since you want to come to class late how about you read for the class."

Nishimoto quickly woke up hearing my voice and stood up to attention. But to his demise and my depleting sanity he left his book on the desk. The whole class watched as this happened some holding in laughs as he quickly grabbed his book.

I began slowly shaking my head only feeling immense disappointment.

'Teaching looked way more fun from another perspective.'

Finally having his book in front of him he slowly started reading the page in broken english.

"At the heart of ancient Palestine is the region known as the Shephelah, a series of ridges and valleys connecting the Judaean Mountains to the east with the wide, flat expanse of the Mediterranean plain."

The class began mocking him as he continued finding his stuttering to be amusing.

"That should be fine Mr. Nishimoto."

As he sat down, I looked at his red face unmoved from it.

While scanning the room for my next victim I looked at Masaki. He had never read once in my class, I felt it was better not dealing with him if anything.

'Embarrassing him should at least make my day feel better.'

Pointing my hand at the laid down head, in a loud voice I said.

"Mr. Masaki, do you mind waking up and reading for the rest of the class,"

The whole class eyes opened up wide before looking at me and back at Masaki.

Masaki whose head was still down made no movement. I looked at him for a moment before looking at the fat dog sitting next to him. I jugged my memory and found his name.

"Do... I mean Mr. Kitagawa could you wake him."

'That was close I almost screwed up and called him doggy.'

Saying the first part a little under my breath I pointed at Kitagawa. The boy forehead started sweating a bit until he looked back at me like I had sent him to poke a bear.

"Sensei, I can read myself."

Quickly the skinny dog to his side came to his rescue. Turning my head to him I glared at him.

"I don't remember your name being Kitagawa or Masaki."

Adding a very tiny amount of cursed energy to my words on purpose caused the boy face to instantly turn dark. Turning my head back to the sleeping Masaki and Kitagawa, repeating my earlier I used the same technique.

Kitagawa face became dark before his hand slowly approached Masaki but to his surprise Masaki grabbed his finger that was an inch from touching him. Lifting his head up gripped the finger hard, Kitagawa made a sound of pain with a scrunched face.

"Who said you could touch me."

Masaki stared at Kitagawa with a completely calm demeanor contrary to the grip he had on his finger. If I didn't know any better, I would think he wanted to break it off.

"I'M SORRY."

The whole class was filled with the loud shout from Kitagawa. Some of the people looking tried to advert their gaze while others quietly looked. Praying that this fate didn't befall them.

"Why are you so loud."

Masaki calmly responded still holding his hand. The boy stifled his groans of pain trying to appease his aggressor. While looking at the commotion I only had a face of contempt.

'Is this some type of delinquent manga.'

Letting out a sigh I continued watching the spectacle.

'He is my student so I should at least help him.'

Before I made my move, quick steps sounded in the room before a person grabbed Masaki hand.

"Let him go."

Grabbing his hand was a non-other than Nishimoto, holding Masaki's hand with a tight grip. Masaki turned his emotionless eyes towards Nishimoto before letting go of Kitagawa. Both had a silent stare off before Masaki turned around and sat down at his seat.

'How cliche.'

This was Nishimoto's personality, an outsider in a rough environment but still keep his morales and ideals no matter what anyone said. Just so cliche.

Nishimoto tried helping the fat dog off his butt but was only meet with rejection as Kitagawa swatted his hand away. This didn't faze Nishimoto as he only sat down at his seat.

Looking at the aftermath of what was supposed to be embarrassment of the cold king Masaki, I just told the class to do silent reading as punishment for the outburst as I waited for the class to end. After the bell rang again my class slowly emptied leaving me alone until the next class came.

The day went on as usual becoming more and more boring as it continued. As the finale bell rang, I made my way to the front gate. Waving back at the few students at the school who cared about their education. Walking past a lot of delinquent students I slowly exited the school.

Unlike the other teachers, using my money from that old man I just paid off the principal to let me do the less amount of work as possible and what I have to at home. This at least made the job more enjoyable.

Walking to my small home I slowly entered, going to my kitchen I cooked a basic meal before seating on my couch and turning on my TV.

As the night approached, I cleaned up my home before heading to my room and walking to my closet. Grabbing a black suit with a white dress shirt from the closet. I dressed myself not buttoning up the suit jacket. Grabbing a black face mask, I put it before putting my hair up.

While teaching it was usually just down which conveniently covered up my eyes, another thing that I was allowed to do with a few dollars.

After looking at my appearance from the mirror I made sure everything was good.

'Honestly Eren's hairstyle was probably one of the best things he came up with.'

Grabbing a pair of black gloves and slipping them on. I looked at my closet and fished out a taser, padded baton, and utility belt with two slots.

'Just in case I run into any talking dummies.'

Putting on the belt and putting the taser and baton in their respective slot. I walked towards the back exit of my house slipping out into the dark of the night.

Roaming the streets, I found a back alley where I heard the low tune of a curse. Walking up to the small creature, approaching it and putting my hand on it before it could react, I used a technique that I had been working on.

'Let's see if this will work.'

Forcefully using my knowledge of cursed manipulation and a mix of my technique, I injected my cursed energy into the creature. The creature let out a pained yelp as my cursed energy overpowered him and his cursed energy causing him to explode.

'My technique basically turned me into a battery for cursed energy. this allowed me to absorb cursed energy and even the application of cursed energy used in techniques and send it back. But what if I extended this to others, Gojo Satoru had use his ability to have Yuji to float on water. So, using this as a basis there was a possibility I could turn others into batteries, and adding on with this application of my technique what if I caused them to not send it back?'

Looking at the aftereffects of my new technique I began thinking of its uses.

'This would require me to completely overpower the other's cursed energy. This would probably only work on bottom feeders. But even so this could be a dangerous technique, I guess I should name it.'

As I turned around and walked out of the alley way and began searching for more curses.

While exorcising every curse I came across, I began thinking of ways to fill the time I had until the story started again.

'Maybe I should think about finding a student.'

Shaking my head, I could only be reminded of the current place I was.

'With all of the filth roaming around I probably wouldn't find a good student. This town reeks of cursed energy from bad energy accumulating here.'

This town was an infamous place, it was like a melting pot of gangs and other bad influences. I really couldn't care less because at least I had human practice dummies, so my skills wouldn't worsen.

'But surprisingly there where a lot of people here with potential to be cursed users some of course worse than others. Must be because of the amount of cursed energy around here. Although I rather find a student her, I do have three people in mind. Oe Naoki, Nishimoto Koji, and Masaki Iwao but all three have their own flaws.

Oe is too timid and docile for my liking I would like to at least teach someone with a burning passion to get stronger. Masaki unlike the others just annoys me too much, I hate people like him. They believe that they're better than everyone else while in reality they're just a big fish in a small pond. But he isn't as bad as the last option.

The last candidate Nishimoto is completely my last choice. He wouldn't survive the in the sorcery world at all. He's Idealistic mindset for good will only get him killed along with his future comrades. Unlike Yuji he isn't the main character, while Yuji has at least learned from his mistakes he would be dead if he hadn't had been helped by others.

Nishimoto would only suffer a sad death and I couldn't drag someone into this world knowing that would be there fate. While Gojo was practically handed Megumi and Yuta I actually have to look for a student. I wonder if I should just steal one from him, it's not like he needs both.'

Engrossed in my thoughts and walking the night streets, I avoid others while watching out for more curses. I walked past an alley way seeing a group of man cornering what looked like a office man.

"Hey, you don't mind paying for new shoes for my buddy here right. You did step on his shoes."

Looking at the obvious extortion I slowly walked in masking my steps. Grabbing my padded baton and taser I walked forward with an annoyed expression hidden with the black face mask.

'Why is everything so fucking cliche.'
