Meetings

Two months with old man Ashura has made me improve in aspects of Jujutsu. But today is different while sweating to conjure the 19th time of my technique.

I scanned the area above me to notice the change in the weather, putting my right hand out, I could feel the pressure of the purple orb.

With the flick of my wrist, the purple orb flew out of my fingers becoming bigger as it went on, clearing out the whole field below the mountain I sat.

"You've improved." I turned to meet the gaze of Ashura his dull blue eyes narrowed at the purple orb as it destroyed whatever it touched.

I looked ahead as Ashura spoke. "It seems like that technique erases everything from its path... Strange, 'cause it feels like you skipped the bases."

I nodded my head, responding. "Yeah... it feels like... like it's unnatural, I can't explain it clearly, but ever since I started using the properties of blue it feels like I gained another property."

Ashura furrowed his brows. " Which is?.."

"I can repel things, opposite of blue," I said in an unsure tone.

"Well, that's called a Cursed technique reversal. It usually involves what the technique of an individual does, but manifested oppositely." Ahura explains in a clear tone.

'I wonder how that is possible when I can't perform a Blue... so that reversal equals Red, that is Blue is attractive, while Red is repulsive' I thought to myself, but why did I skip the process of Red?

The room was quiet, I looked at Ashura sipping his cup of tea. "You want a cup of tea?" Ashura cut through the thick atmosphere of silence.

I waved my hand at him. "No thanks... Am good." The room went back into its silence.

"Do you know why I called you here, June?" Ashura's voice takes a tone of seriousness. I shake my head in response.

"You'll be departing from here on out, next week."

Ashura said simply. I didn't know what to reply to him with, but a lot of questions brimmed in my mind.

"Oh... Who... Who am I going to?, How will I do on my?."

"You'll be going to South Korea," Ashura said, dispelling any attempt to explain what he meant. "Details will come to you eventually, for now, that is all."

Meanwhile in South Korea...

Ring, ring!!

Ring, ring!!

Ring, ring!!

The sound of a phone echoes at the outdoors. A mat spread, enough for two people to rest their bottoms can be seen on the veranda.

"I hope you learned a lesson about getting involved in the world of Jujutsu?" An old lady spoke in a reprimanding tone, but disdain leaked from her voice.

The person she spoke to only chuckles. "Yeah right, am stuck in this shithouse with you. But don't worry, I'll be out of here after am done with a job." The man said, slightly uncaring and disrespectful towards the obvious elder before him.

"I held hope that you won't take another job... But here you are again... No wonder she left you." The woman spits out her words venomously.

"..." No response came from the man as he looked to the side, but he finally spoke. " Shut up... This job will see me off to the end of next month if the pay is worth it, then am going to a solid work at a factory... nothing fancy."

" How long are you going to keep living like this?"

"I don't know." With that the man stood up from the mat placed on the outside of the building, the subtle breeze dancing with his black hair as he made his way into the house.

'I don't know'

The airport of Incheon is rowdy, people littered everywhere like sand, and different smells of body spray and deodorant danced in the air. Ever since the man got here, the place seemed vibrant contrasting to his more reserved and nonchalant personality.

Soon, his eyes landed on two individuals. An elderly man with grey hair released a color pallet of white and a boy with silver hair shone with white radiance.

The elderly man walks up to the other with the boy following behind him. "Long time no see, how're ya." The elderly man stretched his hands, an act of familiarity being displayed.

The black-haired male nonchalantly took his hands in a firm grasp. "Old man Ashura, how've you been." The younger male with silver hair looked at them in disbelief at the acquaintance in question.

"You know each other?" The boy spoke out of curiosity, tilting his head to the side.

"Of course we do, June. He's an old friend..." Ashura paused as he looked at the boy named June and back to the black-haired male. "... At least we're acquaintances."

The black-haired male raised his hand to scratch the back of his head. " Damn right old man, so this is the kid." He said as he pointed towards June.

Ashura chuckled as he spoke. " Yes, he is. I believe you'll be able to handle him while he spends his time with you." Ashura said in a dismissive tone.

"Wait, hold up, who is he?" June said as he pointed toward the black-haired male.

Ashura sighed. "It's not nice to point at people, June. This is Toji Fushiguro."
