2 Classmates and first excorsim.

Tokyo prefecture jujutsu High school, class 1.

Currently, only two students were in the class. One was a tall, slim young man with fair skin and light blue eyes. His uniquely styled black hair jutted out in long spikes, resembling a sea urchin.

The other was a young woman of average height with a slim figure. She had mid-length orange hair that reached her neck, styled with bangs that covered the right side of her forehead. She had orange eyes, long eyelashes, and thin eyebrows of the same color.

These were first-year students, Fushiguro Megumi and Kugisaki Nobara.

"Is there already a replacement?" Nobara muttered to herself as Megumi looked at her.

"I don't think of this as a replacement. They probably found someone who can use cursed energy, but I agree, this is rather sudden," Megumi said, recalling the final words of his friend, "Live a long life." The most impossible thing for a jujutsu sorcerer.

"And the guy is enrolled as a Grade 2 sorcerer. Is your rank the same?" Nobara asked her friend as they both reviewed the report.

[Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School.]

[Student I'd]

Name : Junpei Yoshino

Year : First year

Grade: 2

Prefers to use Shikigami most of the time.

"Shikigami, huh?" He knew using Shikigami was pretty common in the jujutsu world. He was special in that regard. With his Ten Shadows technique, he could summon ten different Shikigami, each having a unique ability of its own.

But they were both curious about one thing specifically: what was the new student's innate curse technique?

Hearing the door slide open, both turned their attention to the right as their overly enthusiastic sensei strode inside with a skip in his step.

"Oh, Megumi-chan! Nobara-chan!" He greeted them as he settled onto the teacher's desk.

"You are awfully early." Hearing his sensei speak as if something good had happened, despite the loss of their team member, Megumi couldn't help but respond with a hint of snark.

"Well, I couldn't be late when introducing the new first year," he said as he clapped his hands twice before continuing, "You can come in."

Walking inside was a slim young man with green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair. His hair was parted on the side, and it covered a significant portion of the right side of his face.

They could sense an enormous amount of cursed energy emanating from him, almost akin to a special-grade cursed spirit.

'Why isn't this guy a special grade?' Both of them thought as they saw him walking in front of them, presumably to introduce himself.

"Hello, I'm Yoshino Junpei. I'm new to Jujutsu, so please take care of me," he introduced himself, offering a polite bow before standing upright. Then, he turned his attention to Gojo-sensei.

"Fushiguro Megumi," said Megumi, sticking to his usual brevity.

"Kugisaki Nobara. Don't think I'd easily accept you as my teammate," she declared with a face that radiated dominance.

"I see, then I'll try my best to have you accept me!" Junpei said with a closed-eye smile. Nobara's eyes widened as his face overlapped with a familiar one, one with pink hair and the same closed-eye smile. She turned away, wanting to forget about these thoughts, and now this new guy comes in and ruins it.

"Junpei, you still need to see how curse exorcising works with your own eyes, so we're going somewhere," Gojo-sensei said, turning around and signaling for them to follow in a comical manner.

Eerie.

That was the one word to describe the building in front of us.

Gojo-sensei had placed a veil around the area. We were currently in Tokyo, at Isuzu Hospital in Shinagawa.

"So, this is where you'll go alone to exorcise the curse, probably a Grade 1 curse. But for a sorcerer of Grade 2, exorcising a Grade 1 curse should be relatively easy."

Though he said it would be easy, I couldn't help but worry. I was putting my life on the line by entering this building.

"Don't worry. If anything happens, I'll help you," Gojo-sensei said with a reassuring smile as he gently pushed me toward the entrance. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes for a moment, and then entered the building.

I walked in, keeping my concentration. I summoned my Moon Dregs using a simple hand gesture – I had two of them.

One was about the size of my torso, while the other was bigger and taller than me. These blue, ghostly jellyfish-like Shikigami's helped me fight and offered me much needed defence.

With both of them summoned, I sent the smaller one to attack, while the larger one enveloped me like a protective suit. Its bouncy, jellyfish-like presence provided a huge increase in my defenses.

I saw curses moving about, and some of them noticed me due to the cursed energy within me. I raised my hand, and in a single second, all the curses were cut down without any resistance.

This is my cursed technique: cursed threads. I can use my cursed energy to transform into these nearly microscopic but incredibly tough threads that can cut through almost anything with ease.

It can only be detected by Gojo-sensei's Six Eyes or something like that. I think I could make it even stronger eventually, my threads also works on anything that does not have any cursed energy.

Suddenly, my senses warned me of something to my left. Before I could react, something struck me with incredible force, sending me hurtling through the air and crashing through a window, landing where Gojo-sensei and the others were.

Thankfully, my fall was cushioned by the Shikigami. But before I could even process what had happened, I heard Nobara's excited exclamation, "CUTE!" as she gushed over my Shikigami.

"I'm dying over here! Can you stop fawning over my Shikigami?" I asked in panic as she grabbed the smaller one and hugged it. The moon dreg looked as bewildered as ever.

I turned to the others for help, and Gojo-sensei gestured behind me. I jumped up and detached myself from my Shikigami, which had acted as a cushion during my fall. Then, I directed the Shikigami to capture the grotesque Grade 1 curse with its tendrils.

The curse had multiple limbs and appeared as if a crocodile had mated with a lion. My Shikigami enveloped it with its tendrils, and I quickly made a hand sign. The Shikigami released a surge of poison, instantly killing the curse.

As I was about to land, I dispelled the smaller Shikigami from Nobara's grasp. She let out a whine of protest, but I landed with a smug smirk aimed directly at her. This seemed to infuriate her even more, judging by her expression.

"Good job!" Gojo-sensei's voice chimed in again, accompanied by the sound of his clapping hands. "You are now my student. Be proud that your sensei is the most handsome man in the world." Along with his goofy smile.

'He's really something, isn't he?' With a small smile on my face, we walked away, marking the beginning of my journey to the top of the jujutsu world's food chain.
