8 Chapter Eight

They were told to draw a parrot with bright colours. Anita had problem mixing some colours and to paint a parrot was always her problem.

Now, one person needs to be eliminated. Anita tried hard but she couldn't get the beak. Her parrot had only a mixture of red and yellow. She couldn't draw the beak and that made her sad. She knew that if she losed the contest, her father will definitely lock her up in the basement.

For people, Anita seemed to be the apple of her father. No one could cut the apple. She was 14. She despised drawing a lot. Her mother died when she was 11 and father became distant towards her. She was forced to learn drawing because Judy was well praised and the kingdom was booming. Her father had sneered at her and she felt sad. She knew that judy was the rightful heir to the kingdom of Ridgeland. To her Judy was wronged by her father but she dare not say so to his face to avoid beating.

She smiled when the time was over. She knew she was going to lose and could forsee her punishment. Her face was gloomy and she almost cried.
