The great Dong Mountain was the strangest and most beautiful mountain. Facing the ocean with its back to the land, its front was a stone precipice as smooth as jade. This record was broken by Fan Xian.

The rear of Dong Mountain was also dangerous. Other than a set of long and straight stone steps that climbed steeply into the clouds to the summit of the mountain, there was no other way up.
