6 Chapter 6 Practical Exam.

Unlike the original anime, Bakugo had a superior complex against Izuku but ever since the day we fought as a little kid, we sorta became rivals. He wasn't screaming at me all the time since every time I confronted him, he couldn't do anything to me. He tried to compete against me in everything such as sports and grades for school and since I was training and had already learned everything in those grades, he didn't beat me once. Well he still calls me 'deku' but that is just his personality I guess and I really don't care what he calls me as I call him kaatchan in a way that annoys him so there's that haha.

I got up early as I prepared for my big day. Instead of letting Bakugo take first place in the exam I want to take first place. I want to be number 1 in everything so my reputation will start and grow from the day I set foot on my path. Maybe if I show off how good I am it will also influence the growth of Bakugo and Todoroki and make them stronger too then it will be fun but I know it will be annoying dealing with the the initial emo Todoroki.

As I got ready, I walked out to the living room and already saw my mom up and happy as she prepared me a giant breakfast to start the day. I never lived in a household of a single parent but I felt like it didn't matter right now because with the amount of love my mom is pouring over me I feel that it is more than enough. However, I'm assuming that the reason why Izuku grew up cowardly was because of the missing father figure who is always over seas since and only All Might and other heroes was like a filter for Izuku's 'father figure' but that's all in the past now because I am Izuku and I don't really want to meet this unknown father. That unknown figure may be my father but he's definitely not my daddy ;).

After I finish all the breakfast I gave my mom a big hug as this was a big day for the both of us. My mom hugged me tightly and said, " Izuku. I believe in you okay. Don't you forget that."

I smiled as I nodded my head, " I know. Thank you mom. I'm going now."

She nodded her head as her eyes start to water. Seeing her like this somehow even I start to become emotional but I held it in and continued to walk out of my house and on my way to U.A. High.

Arriving within in 30 minutes I stand and walk proud and full of confidence as I reached U.A. and walked towards the assembly hall. I don't really need to watch my step because I am not as clumsy as... 'trip' damn my foot got caught on each other and now I'm on my way falling face down. However, I do have my trained reflexes and prepare to catch myself. However, just as I do that, I noticed that I stopped falling and still in mid fall, could it be?

I heard a gentle voice next to me and say, " Are you all right?" She helped my correct my posture, smiled and continued, " It's my quirk. Sorry for using it without asking first. But it'd be bad luck if you fell, right? Aren't you nervous? Let's do our best. See ya!"

Thank the heavens that I tripped. I quickly got myself together and ran up next to her, smiled and said, " I never got to thank you for that, so thank you haha. Can we walk together? My name is Midoriya Izuku."

Uraraka smiled and response, " Haha don't worry about it. Sure we can walk together Izuku. My name is Ochaco Uraraka. Nice to meet you."

I smiled as she already called me by my name and didn't have to go through the cultural formalities. We walked inside the assembly hall and took our seats next to one another. As everyone settled in their seats, Present Mic started to speak and tried to rile up the fresh students like in the cannon. He then began to explain the practical exam and what we will be up against as well as the different blocks that is given to us. Like in the cannon I was given battle center B like in the cannon as well as Uraraka.

After Present Mic's explanation we all went to our given area and started to stretch around for the combat against the robots. I am standing next to Uraraka and saw then she was taking in deep breaths in and out to calm her nerves. I smiled and gave her a pat on her back and said, " don't worry about it. I'm sure you will be just fine. Good luck on passing the exam."

Uraraka smiled as well as she said, " Thank you Izuku. Good luck to you too."

I then took a few steps back as I started to stretch Goku style and waited for the exam to begin. Soon after, a large sound ringed and and every dashed forward, as did I. I didn't really want to show all my full strength yet so I just used 5% of One for All and zoomed past everyone as they were slightly surprised by my speed. I zoom across the battle ground and I soon see a large green robot that was 1 point, I immediately zoomed forwards and sent out a punch and easily smashed it to pieces.

I didn't really feel any hard impact and was just astounded by the physical enhancement that 5% brought to my body. Once I am able to use Haki, what in this world can hurt me. Guns? I believe that once I read the direction of the muzzle of the gun, I can avoid it with my speed. Missiles? With 15% and above I can already send out wind pressure, I don't know if it can misdirect the missiles but that shouldn't be a problem once I know the amount of strength to do that. I just don't know if my 5% or 10% is strong enough to block Todoroki's ice attack as Izuku used his full power to fight him so I will have to test that out.

I continue to zoom around the the battlefield destroying several 1 point robots. With the 2 point and 3 point robots however, I increased my percentage bit by bit as it took me two or three attacks with just the 5% power.

8 minutes quickly passes as the number of robots decreased greatly I believe that with my rate of speed I had already passed the passing grade long ago. I then see a giant shadow coming not far from me. Suddenly a large blow hit the ground that caused a powerful wind blast that surprised everyone. This must be the 0 point robot and once that shadow emerged and showed itself, everyone started to run away because it may be too much for them to handle or because there is no merit in defeating it. However, I was the only one that did not run away. Just because there is no merit of defeating it doesn't mean that you should avoid it, A real hero will face all adversaries, it did not matter if people will recognize the deed or not.

I continue to stand in my place as everyone ran past me. I even saw Tenya Ida look at me briefly before continue to run away. I wanted to see if my 10% could hurt this robot so I wanted to attack it before Uraraka falls and get her foot stuck. As I crouch down in a runners position getting ready to attack, I heard a painful groan coming from not far from me. I looked to my right as I saw Uraraka on the ground with her foot stuck under the rubble. It seems like she was too close to the blow from the robot and got caught. I saw the painful expression on her face and my heart kind of felt pained seeing her like that. I saw the robot getting closer and immediately move as I dashed forwards with my max speed that I could muster. Even though I could move at 10% regularly, I could also summon 15% in just an instance of an attack to not cause any severe damage. I will become pretty sore afterwards but that is not a big problem.

My physical training with All Might pushed my limits almost every week before a resting period so I am thankful for that even though All Might was still a bad teacher as all we did was physical training. He never trained in me in close combat but I think it is only because it was instinctive for him to fight well and plus he could move so fast that most enemies couldn't respond to him so there was that.

As a dashed towards the 0 point robot I raised my level to 12% for a faster boost and flew even faster pointed both of my feet at the robot's torso. At the moment of impact I quickly activated 15% of power and practically pushed the robot so far across the field as it broke down. I landed on the ground and watched the flying robot. It seems like I need 20% to completely destroy the robot and fly through it. I then looked to Uraraka as I quickly removed the rubble that was on top of her and princess carried her.

As I carried her in my arms, she panicked by the sudden closeness she was towards me and blushed as her face went completely red. Seeing that, I smiled brightly as I asked, " Are you okay? Can you walk? If not I can help you to the informatory."

" I... I can walk... Thank you for saving me." Uraraka stuttered as she spoke and didn't make eye contact.

Seeing her stutter, I smiled and said, " Of course. I don't mind it."

As I put her down, she stumbled as her ankles still hurt but before she could fall, I caught her and held her up. This caused her to become even more embarrassed and before she could push me off her, a small lady wearing clear goggles and a pink coat came forwards and checked for injuries among the other testers and finally came to her and kissed her on the cheek and her wound immediately healed.

" Huh, it doesn't hurt anymore?" Uraraka said as she was able to stabilize herself and began to jump around.

I laughed at how she reacted and quickly got up and left the area. Everyone quickly recovered as almost everyone saw the strength that I performed during the practical exam and also started to leave.

Now that the practical exam was over, I returned home and just waited for the good news. A week later as I was doing some light work out, my mom came busting into the living room and held a letter in her hand. " It's here. It came!"

I decided to open the letter right there because I didn't want to hide anything from my mom. All Might will probably show up but I don't think it matters because I believe he won't say anything that will spill the beans as he is also in front of the teachers there.

I opened the letters and a small futuristic disk dropped onto the table and as I expected, All Might showed up with a yellow suit and in his muscle form. " Congratulations young Midoriya. You excelled in the written exams and in the practical exams you gained nearly 90 points. Furthermore, as a hero institution, there was another form a grading involved given by the judges personally. We also grade in rescue points." The screen then played the scene where I rescued Uraraka from the 0 point robot. "For rescuing that young lady we gave you... 90 points!!!" All Might offered his hand and brought it up to the screen, " Come young Midoriya. This is your hero academia!!"

The screen then shut off and me and my mother became speechless as we looked at each other. " IZUKU!!" She gave me a big and tight hug. " Oh my gosh Izuku. I'm so proud of you. I know that you will become a great hero someday."

I gave her a big smile as I pat her back and calmed her down. " I know mom. And once again, thank you for everything."
