39 Seeing the difference

"Stop or I will make the two of you stop."

Horn stopped his right hands from completely falling as he face the young man that was in the steps, then after circulating the energy inside him he forcefully made the anger that was inside of him and with a smile he gave a bow of respect to the young man.

"I wasn't expecting you the young leader of the City Lord personal body guards to be here Ling Tian." He gave Ling Tian a smile as his eyes flashed with an unknown emotion.

Ling Tian only gave him a look before directing it to Mada, he gave him a long look he was aware of how strong Horn was and was aware what he was capable of and even though he himself was able to handle him without any problem that was because he was already at the middle stages of the Earthen realm.

But the young man with the white hair in front of him was clearly at the early stages of the Earthen realm giving him a quick glance he said to Mada "What is your name kid, I am known as Ling Tian what about yours."

"Mada, my name is Mada." giving his name away to Ling Tian he felt that something was odd about the leader of the guard that was in front of him, but he was in no position to ask what it was as they both do not have that much deep a relationship to one another.

"I appreciate the help that you gave us." Thanking Ling Tian he gave a slight bow showing his sincerity, after doing so he gave Horn that was on the side a look before making his way to the gate where Sol was standing in.

He had imprinted the face of Horn in his mind, giving Sol a gesture the both of started to walk away from the City Lord Manors and into the direction of the West gate of the City.

Horn looked at the disappearing back of Mada in the distance he also imprinted the face of Mada inside his mind so he can make sure that he wouldn't make any mistake when he go and deal with him later [Enjoy your life while you can kid.]

After a while the others also came out of the Manor and went out so they can prepare for the job they just accepted, seeing Ling Tian they all gave him a bow out of respect before glancing at Horn who had a strange look on him.

Borkis also saw the way Horn look but seeing that Mada was nowhere to be found he assumed that he was able to deal with Horn just like he thought so quickly made his way to the gate with Jir and one more person to start their preparations.

It was night already but Mada and Sol was already about to set out in order for them to go into the black swamp and get the Blood Ginseng in there, they were both Earthen realm cultivators so they didn't need to sleep like the others even if they stayed awake for a month straight they would still be able to function properly.

But they still had limits of course as they both have to rest if the energy inside their bodies was drained out. Mada took a bag that was beside him before making his way towards the door.

Opening the door the first person he saw was Sol already standing there just waiting for him to come out, seeing him getting out of the room Sol said to him "Are you done? How come you took so long, we would've been able to set out in the afternoon if you didn't take that long."

Mada only gave her a look and a smile, he walked out of the [Mercenary Guild] and made his way towards the west gate, giving the guard his [Mercenary Guild] card he was immediately permitted to go out.

The two of them travelled in silence as both of them didn't say anything to one another and Rayious who was inside the soul imprint there, although the way they travelled was silent and no Demonic beasts got in their way while they were travelling to the Black Swamp a problem still arise.

This problem was the fact that Sol was not able to keep up with Mada's pacing no matter how she tried. She was diligent person and she was a person who was already at the Earthen realm so she had experience ablution making her body stronger.

Although it was only one time her body was still strong and Mada was also like this he was also a person who was at the early stage of Earthen realm same as her so she believe that they were at the same level and even if there were some difference between the two of them it wouldn't be that big.

But what she thought and what was reality was different as she was constantly struggling to keep up with him at all times, Mada clearly had a body that an early stage Earthen realm cultivator shouldn't have.

Sol knew that there were many kinds of different techniques that enable the body of a cultivator become stronger when they were at the Mortal realm through the use of a strengthening circulation technique.

This kinds of technique make the body of the person who was practicing them stronger that normal and making the foundations of their body even more so, Sol also have some kind of method that she had use when she was young making her body stronger than normal.

But despite this Mada was still able to leave her in the dust without any problems whatsoever in her mind she thought.

[What kind of technique is he using to make his body get so strong onto this point a strengthening technique requires the user to experience pain in order for them to have a strong body and the peak rank technique that I had almost made me go insane from the pain, then if he has a technique stronger than I have then how much pain would he have went through in order to get this power?]

This idea started to run inside her head she tried to remember how much the strengthening technique caused her pain and when she remembered them the feeling of a cold running down her spine appeared.

But when she considered the fact that Mada supposedly had gone through something worse than what she had gone through. Just only imagining the pain made her fear how Mada was able to treat himself like that while having a new sense of admiration for him.

This point alone made Sol know how much difference he had with Mada but this was not the only thing that Mada had advantage in as he also had a stamina that can put a demonic beast to shame.

Sol was able to keep up with Mada's speed at some point of time well barely able to, but what she wasn't able to keep up with him at all was that he was a real freak when it came to long distance travel. The two of them had travelled for three days straight and they had stopped for a total of four times.

And all of this one time was because she had used up all of the energy inside her body, they had been travelling at full speed the moment they had left when she ask Mada why they were travelling like that the answer she got was that it was training for the energy capacity in the body.

He mentioned how the energy was able to be trained with the endurance at the same time if it was use up in one go without any stops, Sol found it reasonable so she didn't say anything she was trying to get stronger fast so she didn't have any complains if it will help her.

But what surprised her was the fact that after half a day of spending the energy in full blast Sol was already out of breath and needed to recuperate as for Mada he was still full of energy and vitality like he only took a normal walked.

This things made Sol slightly dejected the more she travelled with him the more she was able to checked his capabilities, then on the fifth day that they had t traveled Mada finally took a rest and started to recuperate the energy that he had spent.

This was currently his limits, a total of five day full on sprint was hard even for his purified body so he took a rest under a shade and started to meditate, as for Sol she was also resting and was currently recuperating in the time being.

They were almost at the Black swamp she estimated that if they continue to make their way at their current speed they would be able to reach it at noon, but what made her feel bad was the fact that she was actually slowing Mada down.

There wasn't any genius that didn't have any pride on their capabilities and Sol was the same as those geniuses, although she was hailed as a genius that was only born every ten thousand years she clearly wasn't on par with him.

But because of the feeling of uselessness that she had Sol persevered in order to keep up with him, and what she gained on pushing herself to the point of exhaustion surprised her. Even though the improvement in her energy was not that immense it still increased.

Her endurance was getting better and her energy capacity increased by a miniscule margin which sounds little but when you consider how hard it was to improve the capacity of your energy made her surprised to her core.

Not only that the usage of the energy inside her body was also more proficient than before, she was someone at the Earthen realm so she was able to make the energy inside her come out to help her and the way that her energy was used was change when she did this crazy way of traveling.

Mada was truly a different kind of person than the others, the way he train himself can be considered self-torture and realizing how he was actually doing this kind of self-torture every time made her fear what Mada was capable of and how he treated his enemies.

Standing up from where she sat down Sol look at the young man that was standing at the shade of the nearby tree thinking about something, curiosity filled her head as she looked at him so she couldn't helped but ask what he was thinking about.

Which he answered with "Well I felt something strange when I was meditating earlier."

"Strange? What's strange did your energy flowed backwards? Or something of the like?" Sol was now intrigue to what he was talking about.

Mada closed his eyes and started to circulate the energy inside him, opening his eyes he said to Sol "The energy inside me suddenly crash into my dantian as if it wanted to rushed out of my body like some kind of beast, I tried to stopped it but when I did the energy turned docile and slowly made its way out of my body leaving me with this."

Stretching his right hand Sol was able to see a black and thin membrane like substance on Mada's palm the thin membrane like substance had a slight foul smell on it but it didn't bother Sol as she even took closer look at it than before.

"You said that your energy run wild then docile, then after running out of your body through your pores letting this black substance out of your body." Sol took one looked at Mada and seeing him nod his head like a child confirming the hunch she had.

"You had a breakthrough."
