15 Servants and Souls?
-Merveille, in front of Shiki's fortress-
A sea of blood, corpses and body parts are scattered around the field. They were Shiki's subordinate and crew, who was full of life just couple of hours ago were now corpses piled on top of each other. Most does not have complete body. There were also some weird looking animals corpses, that joined the fight earlier which resulted in a free for all battle but were still not enough to keep their lives from being reaped. In the middle of it all, was Shin and in front of him was the sword, "Masamune", embedded on the ground. The sword was as steady as a mountain, with an overall length of 9.1 feet, and was not swayed even slightly by the strong wind. Not far from him was an old man, lying in a pool of his own blood, un-moving. Yes, the old man was Shiki, which Shin had fought against just a couple of hours ago.
Shin was sitting cross-legged and had is eyes closed. He was absorbing the bodies and blood around him, refining them into pure energy which will nourish and feed his body's never ending hunger. Some of the bodies around had been fully refined and vanished, leaving only their cloth articles behind, else, there would have been more corpses lying around. Shin would not let anything go to waste, even if it will only give a slight boost to his strength. While doing so, he was inside his soulscape, reflecting the past few hours when he fought Shiki. The fight wasn't as simple as he thought it would be, unlike the CP0 member in Marijois. Shiki was way stronger, more cunning and had quite understanding of his devil fruit ability and was also careful enough of him, when he saw what Shin is capable of. The old man was indeed very strong, and attested his strength by giving Shin a hard time. Shin took several hours to beat Shiki, while also going all out. In the fight, he was not in a pretty good shape and accumulated countless wounds, but due to his high regeneration, he was able to heal immediately not even leaving a mark, but the same could not said with Shiki. As the fight goes on, each of them sustained wounds, some light, and some deep and severe. Shin healed in a matter of minutes, but Shiki only got weaker and weaker, as he cannot heal like Shin. Before Shiki died, Shin had successfully devoured his devil fruit ability making it his own.
He sighed once again at the unexpectedness of the fight, it's a shit hard fight against the legendary pirate Shiki.
Shin had also proven that Shiki knew how to use haki, and was also darn good at it, so he cannot, for the life of him think how Luffy had beaten the old man. If he's this strong, he would have squashed Luffy and his crew like a bug. His mastery is on par with Shin or maybe greater, and only due to his old age, that he was weaker than his prime, when he faced both Sengoku and Garp. If he fought the Shiki in his prime, he definitely would have been defeated or been forced to retreat. Because of this fight, he planned to train once more. Shin wanted to be unhindered, when he travel the seas and even in the new world, and he rather bully and torment his enemy, than always experience what those protagonist go through, to be beaten, and make a come back. To hell with plot armour, when he can be a level above every villain in this world, and play them to death.
As for Shiki's "Float Float Fruit", this was the reason why he was floating in the air like a Buddha. When he absorbed the devil fruit ability from Shiki, he immediately used it to stabilize the floating Islands. Shin divided his thought into stabilizing the floating islands, and comprehending the devil fruit powers. It took all his concentration to slow it's descent until he stabilize it when he awakened the fruit. It took him a couple days to master and awaken it. He took advantage of his soulscape's time dilation to worked in mastering the fruit and prevented the floating island from crashing down to the sea below. He also used another fruit that he had gotten recently from one of the uninhabited island, the Divide Divide fruit which he had also awakened before confronting Shiki. He used it's power to divide the weight and gravity of the island several times, making it easier for the float float fruit to work. Now, his mastery is enough to sustain all the floating Island even without the Divide fruit power.
Shin really liked the place, and wanted to make it a vacation spot for his future wives and crew. He had plan to make it their own paradise. As for how to improve it, he would kidnap.. err.. recruit some people that have the necessary skill he needed to improve the place. But for now, he had to put it at the back of his mind for the meantime, and was now thinking about stepping up his training. He then remembered all those "good stuff" sitting in his inventory. It's about time to open them up.
