18 Nico Robin

When Shin came out, there were no noticeable changes on him, however, for one who have a keen eye, they will notice that Shin's shadow is darker and thicker like a liquid. If one will focus their eyes on it, they will also notice that something, within the shadow is squirming, and if one is lucky or unlucky, someone or something will look back at them from the shadow.

Shin called out to Monet and Sugar. He squatted down at their eye level, and explained to them what happened. They were sad knowing that they won't see their sister for quite some time, but happy at the same time, that their sister did not leave them forever, that there's hope of being together again.

Monet, especially, was thankful to this silver haired man that approached them, and gave them a chance. She's a smart girl, and old enough to know that sooner or later, they will have to pay this "debt" they owe him. Monet does not care, even if she offer her servitude to this man, and even her body. That's how much an impact Shin gave her at the darkest time of their life. In a sense, it still follow the canon, but instead of Doflamingo getting her, she was now Shin's. Coming from this strain of thought, it got all over, and Monet blush of what she thought further, if Shin would accept her even as a bed warmer. She does not think that she had a chance, after seeing the dark skinned female companion of Shin called Scheherazade. She then put this at the back of her mind for now but she won't give up to "repay" her benefactor.

Shin could see the various aura coming from them, and he can only smile wryly at seeing a pink color included on her aura. He had no idea what's running in her mind, and chose to ignore it.

Shin introduced Scheherazade to the two, and both were mesmerized with her beauty and demeanor. Scheherazade noticed how Monet's gaze never left Shin, the same look that a girl have if she was looking at her most special person. She does not want to keep Shin to herself, so she decided to groom Monet to be a wife candidate for Shin and as a sister.

Shin then explained to them what the next course of action they would take, and about the training. He plans to train Monet and Sugar as well as Scheherazade so that they could at least protect themselves or contend with people in the new world. None of the girls complained and agreed immediately. Each having their own reason to become strong. Shin wanted to leave immediately, to avoid being detected by an agent of the world government.

Shin takes out a large black scythe. It has gold rim from one end of the staff to the other, with spikes at the end of the staff, as well as the other end of the blade, then a small crystal that holds all parts together. It is called "Vassal Scythe". It is able to copy any form of scythe created, including the scythes given skills. Currently, there's 3 copied scythe store on it's crystal. Shin changed the scythe and the usual black crystal shined purple, then red. The light envelope the whole scythe, and once the light disappeared, the appearance of the scythe changed. It now has a curved blade with jet black and crimson color. Shin changed it to one of the stored copy called "Ezendeis".

Using the scythe, Shin slashed through the air, forming a circle, large enough to fit several people. The sliced part in front of them slowly turned dark, similar to a space being erased. After a few seconds, different colored light flashed through within. Shin created "Void Corridor" which is one of the ability of Ezendeis. Usually, a space corridor contains turbulent energy which can shred one to pieces if got sucked into it, however, the corridor Ezendeis created is very stable. One can walk within, like walking in the park. This allows Shin to travel to placed he had been and remembered (limited to within One Piece World.. for now).

With this ability, he can go anywhere in the One Piece world in the blink of an eye, which usually takes a ship to travel and takes couple of days, weeks or even a month to reach a destination.

Shin used the Void corridor to instantly travel to Skypiea. From there, they flew towards Sabaody Archipelago. It's the meeting place that he setup to meet the others who are willing to join him in his journey. During the time of his stay in Marijois, he met many slaves who have no place to go if ever they escaped from that place. He offered them a family and a home. Shin told them to think about it and only decide after they had escaped Marijois. Now, Shin is heading to Sabaody Archipelago, the place they decided to gather, and to see who decided to join him and become part of his family.

Just after half an hour of flying from Skypiea, Shin heard a loud sound. The sound is a lot like a cannon being fired. Shin stopped advancing and was curious about the sound. They descended below cloud level, and saw that there are 3 navy warships, a single pirate ship. The pirate ship was scrambling to get away however, the navy warship were of a higher level, and is catching up bit by bit to the pirate ship.

Shin, with his current level and physique, could see clearly, what's happening on the deck of each ship. What he saw surprised him and could only mutter to himself, "What the heck is she doing in this side of the sea? Did me being here only for a few days already made changes to the plot?"

[Nico Robin Pov]

My life has been all about running away.. ever since that day my home ceased to exist. I have been running from different kinds of people, bounty hunters, the marines and even the regular people wanted my head, and what's sad about it is it's for a simple reason of getting my bounty. For money, they will betray and hand me over and I have no say about this.. Sometimes, I ask myself, why me? Why does it have to be my family that suffered and had to disappear..

Right now, I'm with a group of pirates I joined recently. They're a decent bunch. I know that I have been betrayed before, but I couldn't help myself from hoping that there's people out there that will accept me knowing who I am and will protect me as a family would.

I have been with the Bronze Pirates for a month now. They have treated me with kindness. The captain of the Bronze pirates, I know that he has his sight on me, but even though he treat me better than my past acquaintances, I can't reciprocate his feelings. And there's a woman beside the captain, which I know does not like me. She may have though that I usurped her position, but I already explained to her about this, and she wouldn't listen. I hope she understand me someday.

Today, I noticed a government informant nearby, and I have a bad feeling about it since. I tried convincing the captain that marines may come. He laughed about me being silly but he still listened to me reluctantly and prepared to leave. I know that the other's did not like this, but my intuition has always been right.

Right after leaving the island, my fear came through. A marine battle ship just came out of the cover, and started it's chase. After some time, another two marine battle ship joined the chase, and they are catching up bit by bit.

Everyone in the ship started panicking, especially when they learned that all of the ship has is being commanded by a rear admiral. Rear admirals are not common in the Grand Line. One, they may be able to repel or escape from but 3 rear admirals isn't a joke, as rear admirals are great fighters, and active in the new world. This made the captain nervous. After the first ship cought up with just a couple of meters away from the ship, the rear admiral in charge of the ship spoke, and my fear reached a new height.. it was rear admiral Momonga. He's known as an experience and great fighter and has taken down numerous pirates in the new world. I fear that we may not escape this, but I'll do my best to help this crew. I was snapped out of my thought when rear admiral Momonga spoke.

"Stop running, you won't be able to escape. There's two more ship that will intercept you ahead, so surrender!" (Momonga)

"Why would you need five ships to catch us? We're just low pirates and I only have 40 million bounty!" (Captain of Bronze Pirate)

"Oh! Amusing~ So you don't know what you're carrying with you?" (Momonga)

"W-what do you mean carrying with us, we don't-" (Captain of Bronze Pirate)

"Hmph! I don't know if you're playing, but let me remind you then. You allowed a 79 million bounty to join you.. do you know who she is?" (Momonga)

"You! So it's you're fault that were in this situation?" (Captain of Bronze Pirate)

"I- I didn't want this to happen, please believe me.." (Nico Robin)

"Nico Robin, the 'Devil Child', currently at 79 million bounty. What do you have to say for yourself, hmmmn?" (Momonga)

"If you- " (Nico Robin)

"SHUT UP!! We'll give her to you sir, we won't run anymore. Just be lenient with us. We're new and we just entered the Grand Line recently so.." (Captain of Bronze Pirate)

"Funny~ I guess Ms. Devil Child, that you will be coming with us soon." (Momonga)

"What are you waiting for!! Catch her!! Heheh, give us a minute sir, we'll definitely get her for you" (Captain of Bronze Pirate)

Robin was saddened. Once again, she was betrayed. She thought that this crew would be the one, the way they treated her earlier. She could not believe that they could throw her just like that, to save themselves. Using her devil fruit, Hana hana no Mi, she evaded several crew that was trying to catch her and had almost reached the escape boat she prepared earlier. She knows that this may not help much, but at least, she would have tried to escape just like before. However, a girl suddenly sprung out of the escape both, and plunged a knife on her left shoulder. This knocked her back to the pursing crew, which intercept her and punch and kicked her out of frustration and anger. Robin could only curl her body to avoid further damage. She was used to the paid, as the previous people she interacted with had treated her the same way. She could now only cry silently, while gritting her teeth due to the pain. She knows that she will be caught, or worst, killed. Before she lost hope, she heard a loud angry shout coming from above. She could not help but look up, curious about the voice.

"HOW DARE YOU! ALL THOSE ASSHOLES THAT TOUCH 'HER', DIE!!!!" (???)

[Momonga's Pov]

After the loud shout, the 3 marine warship exploded. Rear admiral Momonga was able to escape due to observation haki and using Soru and Geppo. He was able to get to a safe distance, and watch as the 3 ship sank slowly to the bottom of the sea. Momonga was shocked to his core, he's still unsure how many survived from his crew and someone that can sink a marine warship which was built sturdily, and 3 warship was hit at the same time, will be powerful. Only an admiral level and some vice admirals have the capability of doing the same. He saw how a projectile hit the middle of each ship, causing shock to travel all the way to the bottom, breaking the ship's keel in half.

Momonga quickly searched for the presence he felt before the ships exploded, and found him standing in one leg[1], on one of the mast of the pirate ship. Upon seeing the person that caused this much destruction, he immediately felt fear. The man is wearing a pitch black full body armor. At the back of the greaves and gauntlet has spike like blades, the head is covered by the helmet, aside from the mouth, and the helmet has 6 glowing crimson eyes. The armored man is holding a massive spear like halberd. He's looking down at the pirate, or rather, to the heavily injured Nico Robin. Then he move his sight on him, this made his back covered by cold sweat as he felt death from that simple stare. He could feel the heavy pressured and killing intent from the man. He knew, the man is furious.

What surprised Momonga even more is when the man disperse his armor, like a black mist and was replaced by a long black coat with silver pauldrons worn as a cape, black boots and black trousers. In his hand, the massive spear disappeared, and was replaced by a massive seven foot long katana. The face behind the helmet became familiar to him. Then he suddenly remembered, a newly released bounty came directly from the world government. On this bounty, a picture of a man with a silver hair, terrifying horns on his head, two massive black feathery wings, and holding a massive katana with a bounty of 666 million beli, titled "Silver Devil Arian" and with a high enough position, he was able to learned the the background of this particular criminal. He's a world noble, who's title was revoked, he destroyed over 80% of Marijois and killed quite a number of world nobles. Because of the rest of the world noble's outcry and wanting justice from this man that humiliated them, they demanded punishment with extreme prejudice. The leaders did not want to release the news about what transpired in Marijois, so they can only agree to place a high bounty on this man's head. The rest of the nobles were not satisfied, but had to agree and save face for their leaders.

Now, he's facing the same man that had half a million bounty, has the power to destroy Marijois by himself, and escape unscathed. He also killed a Cp0 before escaping, so he had quite a lot of notoriousness on him. But Momonga's thinking is on a different subject all together. They're alone in the sea, and he's definitely sure that he's not this Silver Demon's match. He will definitely die if he confront him, and will still die if try to escape.

The man moved, and Momonga watch as he descended slowly to the ship's deck. Then what happened next horrified him...

Shin was furious. He saw the state of Nico Robin in the floor. Her whole body is full of bruises and she even have a stab wound on her left shoulder. Back on Earth, when he watched the scene were Nico Robin after she got transported to Tequila Wolf, were she was beaten by the guards, he felt pity for the girl and was even angry at the rest of the people that did her harm. She was also one of his favorite character in the series.

Now, Nico Robin is in front of him, and he saw how she was beaten on the floor and stabbed by the girl smirking a meter away from her still holding the bloodied dagger she used to stab Nico Robin. The sight of this, and the state of his feeling exploded. He stared at the girl holding the dagger and look at the rest of the crew and said "What rights do you, insects, have to hurt this innocent girl.. and in front of me...? You assholes should just shriveled up and die!!!".

Shin released his wrath towards the whole crew. An aura of an emperor exploded from him, and passed through every single one of the pirate crew. This did not affect Nico Robin, but for the rest of the crew, they started fainting one by one. Shin ignored that he just used a conqueror's haki and snorted after looking at the fainted crew. He approached Nico Robin slowly. His previous fierce look disappeared completely. Even with red eyes, it was still replaced by the most gentle and caring gaze. Nico Robin was also looking at him straight and when he was in front of her, her tears started falling one by one. She cried, not out of fear, but was relieved instead. With all the people Nico Robin encountered, she learned how to read people, and what Shin showed her was genuine care for her well being. Shin extended his right hand, and held Nico Robin's head, and pull her to his embrace. He allowed her to cry. Shin was also aware of Momonga in the background, and with his observation haki, if he try attacking, he'll finish cut him to shred.

After awhile, Robing stopped crying, and look at Shin again, blushing. It seems she had recovered. Shin took out a roll of tissue. He saw this item that came from the Gacha and was impress by what this simple thing can do.

Roll of Medical Tissue

-The tissue made for gods. Whoever made this, really cares.

[Effect: Complete restoration of all physical wounds. Just place a piece of the tissue on any part of the body, and.. boom! Cured!]

Shin cut off a piece from the tissue roll, and placed it over Nico Robin's shoulder wound just to make sure that it heals the worst of her wound, and like a miracle, the wound started closing up, and even the bruises in her body healed. After a few minutes, she was good as new. This greatly shocked Nico Robin, at how potent the item is, and could only look at Shin, which just gave her shrug.

"How do you feel, miss Robin. Does it still hurt (pointing at the knife stab)?" (Shin)

"En.. I've never feel better(smiled). Thank you for helping me. But.. I'm confuse, I believe this is the first time that we've met?" (Nico Robin)

"(scratching the back of his head) You're... right.. I've heard of you and learned of what happened back then, not those bullshit that the marines cooked up, and because of your great will to survice and live, even though everything is against you.. that made me become fond of you." (Shin)

"Eto.. are you sure, you know how much the marines are after me being the "Devil Child"?" (Nico Robin)

"The marines? (chuckle)" (Shin)

"(pouted) What's so funny?" (Nico Robin)

"I'm sorry, I'm not making fun of you, it's just.. if you knew my background, you would've worried about me offending the marines, right, Mr. Momonga?" (Shin)

Momonga had no choice but to come closer, since Shin called to him. In his thought, it wouldn't matter if he's close or far. The man could kill him anytime he wants. He took out a bounty paper and showed it to Nico Robin.

"Errrmm.. (cough) Yes. This is him and his bounty" (Momonga)

"(gasp) 666 Million Beli?! How did this happen? I never saw this bounty before?" (Nico Robin)

"(sigh) The bounty has just been released a few days ago. He... destroyed more than half of Marijois, and killed quite a number of world nobles." (Momonga)

"And there you have it! Problem solved, so.. would you like to give me and my family a chance? I know that you have been betrayed numerous time, but you won't lose anything for trying me out, right?" (Shin)

"(chuckle) It sound's like you're selling yourself to me?" (Shin)

"(cough!) Does it sound like it? Meh.. It doesn't matter, as long as I convince you.. as long as I could protect you!" (Shin)

"(blush) You're very convincing Mr... Silver Devil.. Arian?" (Nico Robin)

"No, Arian's a world noble's name. I'm no longer one, so call me Shin." (Shin)

"(chuckle) Then Shin... please, take care of me. (blush)" (Nico Robin)

"That I will.. welcome to my crew.. Nico Robin. Welcome to your new family!" (Shin)
