3 King's Inheritance, 2nd Life, Killing The Knight!

"Do you wish to become a king? Do you wish to create a world where you can achieve what you desire?"

Hearing the voice Jax opened his eyes. 'where is this place? all I see is white all around. Is this Heaven'

"No this is not, it's another plane where I control" The voice answered as if it heard Jax's thoughts.

Hearing the voice again, Jax could determine the gender of the voice. It was a voice of a girl, the voice was clear as day and he could tell that the age of the girl was maybe around his age as well.

"Now I'll ask you again, Do you wish to become a king? Do you wish to create a world where you can achieve what you desire?"

Hearing such a question stunned Jax. Of course anyone hearing such a question would be stunned. To gain the power the power to mold the future into your own vision. Only the insane would reject such an offer.

But Jax knew that such a good offer would come with a downside. So he asked

"For such an offer to exist, there's got to be downsides a downside."

"Your right, if you choose to obtain the King's Inheritance your journey from then on will be tumultuous and life threatening."

Hearing what the downside was, Jax was stunned. He expected more, something along the lines of your life will belong to me or something.

He already knew that his life would become dangerous if he chooses to accept the inheritance. But he thought the downside would worst, something like losing a part of his soul.

"So I'll ask you again, Will you become a king or not?" seeing Jax was the girl asked again.

Of course Jax would agree, so he said "yes," to the voice immediately.

"Then grab on to the King's Sword that shall appear before you," told the girl.

Soon after a sword appeared floating before Jax, It looked nothing like nothing special at first. The blade was made out of iron like any other blade but when he look at the grip of the sword he saw the images of a child, a man, and an elder engraved onto it.

He didn't know what the pictures meant but he knew that he'll figure it out later on.

Jax looked at the sword again before moved his hand forward to hold the sword.

The moment he held the sword he heard the girl speak again.

"You have accepted the Kings Inheritance, I hope you become a strong and wise king as you grow"

The voice faded as she spoke the last words.

Seconds after the death of Jax the knight turns away from Jax's dead body walks.

But soon after a Ray of light comes down and shines upon Jax's body.

The battlefield came to silence, soldiers who were just fighting moments ago stopped and looked at the white piercing light.

"What is going on!" the knight shouted. He could see that the piercing light was shining upon Jax's body and kept on staring at it not knowing what to do.

No one knew what was going on, all they could do was stare at the light.

10 miles away from the battlefield an army of 100,000 was coming to reinforce the ongoing battle.

"Hey look at that in the sky" pointed out one of the soldiers.

"What is that?" another soldier questioned

"I don't know, all I can see that it's a ray of light."

"It's the birth of a knight!" shouted the commander

"But sir, I don't remember hearing about a ray of light coming down when a person becomes a knight." said the soldier beside him with a questioning look.

"It all depends on the potential of the knight, there's been rumors that a person long ago, when he became a knight, a ray of light came down on him as well. It supposedly pierced through the clouds rising up to the heavens itself."

"If it determines the potential of the knight, then lets hope the new knight is from our side." said the soldier in concern.

"Your right, so let's hurry and rescue our comrades," the commander said, then commanded his army to hurry to the battlefield.

At the battlefield, moments after the commander finished speaking, the ray of light shining upon Jax disappeared.

Jax, coming back to conscious was in a daze, he couldn't tell what just happened moments ago was a dream or not. 'What the hell just happened?'

He then felt something in his hand and looked at it. It was the King's sword that he obtained in the dream or so called plane.

Seeing that Jax came back to life, the Knight was horrified.

"Monster! What are you!? Who are you!?" shouted the Knight in fear.

Hearing the frightened Knight, Jax stood and smiled.

"I'm still the same person who you just killed, but now I'm stronger"

Jax then unconsciously utilized sword energy, and so made his sword glow.

It had the same silver hue as the Knight's sword, but it was more vibrant compared to his.

'So this is sword energy, the sword feels light as a feather and I feel stronger too.'

It would be odd if Jax didn't feel and different. When one is able to utilize Sword Energy, they could use the the energy throughout their bodies enhancing it.

It was the reason why Knights were so horrifying on the battlefield. Superhuman charging at you and cutting you before you know it. You would die before you even know you did.

It was another reason why you see so little knights or none at all on the front lines unless the army of either side knew that there would be a Knight in either armies.

But this was due to the fact that compared to other Kingdoms, the Galing Kingdom was small and so was the Gorgonian Kingdom. Compared to the other bigger ones, they would have 10's of thousands of knights.

While Galing would probably have 100 at most. This was another reason why the 2 kingdoms were at war for each other. It was so that they could have a bigger population. With a bigger population comes with having more knights in the army.

"Sword Energy! How could you become a Knight after coming back to life, I even adsorbed the energy from your body. So how could you become a knight?

The knight said, speechless of was he saw.

"I don't need to tell you my secrets," Jax sneered

"Then I'll obtain your secrets by killing you!" Yelled the knight as he then charged up to Jax at breakneck speed.

If Jax wasn't able to utilize Sword energy before, then he wouldn't even see how fast the Knight was charging at.

'I can see his movements clear as day compared to before. The difference between a Knight and a normal soldier really is different'

Jax was prepared to defend the Knight strike this time and when the swords clashed, he was able to push the knight back.

Seeing that Jax had a different sword Knight questioned

"Didn't I break your sword? where did you get another one?

"Oh, I found it" Jax replied back jokingly then charged at the Knight again.

Jax comes upon the Knight with a stab aiming at his stomach but was deflected away by the knight's parry. The knight soon answered back with his own slash towards Jax.

Jax then dodged the sword by stepping back and charged the knight mid-swing. Being caught off guard mid-swing, Jax was able to pierce through the Knight's shoulder.

The Knight screamed in pain and backed away a few steps away from Jax. The two of them were breathing heavily as they stared at each, ready to counter one another if they made a move.

The Knight couldn't help but think 'How strong is this kid and how much energy does he have? He's clearly at the beginning of 1 star initial Knight.

Even though I'm the same as him, I've been a 1 star initial Knight and I'm almost at a breakthrough to 2 star.'

He couldn't comprehend what was going on and he knew if this fight lasted any longer he was going to die due to fatigue.

He couldn't help but panic for a short time before calming down.

But even though he panicked for a little, Jax was able to notice and mocked him

"You panicking old man? Shouldn't you feel ashamed for not being able to finish off someone who just became a knight?"

The Knight snapped and charged at Jax. One of the rules in battle was to always keep calm and never get angry.

The Knight knew the rule but being mocked by someone who's younger and someone who has just became a Knight he couldn't help but snap. And doing so signed his death warrant.

The Knight stabbed at Jax's heart but Jax was able deflect the sword and at the same time knock the sword away from his hand.

Seeing that the sword in his hand flung away the knight couldn't help be ashamed. He knew that he fell into Jax's trap the moment he snapped. All he could do now was watch as Jax's sword pierced right through his heart.
