4 Chapter 4

Four years have passed since Itachi came to this world, and during this time he discovered several things. First the world he was in was composed of people who could use a mysterious energy that they called Profound Energy.

But cultivating this energy didn't seem as simple as on the surface, that's because a person's cultivation path was practically done at the beginning of his life, that is, at birth. If you were born without Profound Veins then this meant that you couldn't be a cultivator.

The life he was currently leading could only be described as monotonous, not that he cared much about it. When he turned three years old his mother introduced him to the path of cultivation which he found very interesting and curious, and from the very beginning of his cultivation he showed himself to be a talent making his mother surprised.

Gong Yuxian was also relieved that her son was a 'genius'. She knew that his life in this sect could not be considered 'good' but there was not much she could do at the moment. She would just make sure to do the best for her son.

Even one improvement she brought to her son was to introduce him to the sect. After three years of hiding, she felt it was time to tell her sect that she had a son. At first all the female disciples were shocked and at the same time curious, but after a while they eventually got used to it, which was a bit different from the reaction Gong Yuxian imagined.

Even the old sect mistress accepted her son, saying that it would be good to have him here, as it could prevent the female disciples from getting too frosty with other people.

Gong Yuxian thought she was dreaming, but after realizing that her son was accepted easily, she sighed in relief, and told herself that this was due to the cuteness of her cute son.

Itachi at this moment was sitting on the bed in the room that had been prepared for him to live in. Currently he was not alone in the room, but with a woman with an appearance that could only be described as beautiful.

The woman in front of Itachi was known as one of the Seven Fairies, or more precisely the fifth rank of the Seven Fairies. Her name is Chu Yueli. Her appearance is simply amazing, she has exceptional snow white skin, red lips and black hair. Her unparalleled elegance matched precisely with the sort of pure holiness she emitted due to being a fairy.

Her age could not be told precisely, but from Itachi's knowledge she was well past thirty, but due to cultivation this was irrelevant since a cultivator could live for thousands of years if given the time to cultivate. This was even one of the things that shocked Itachi the most.

To increase your life expectancy by cultivating, that was something practically impossible in the shinobi world. Itachi knew few shinobis who could live for eons, and most of them had certain mental problems or were complete psychopaths.

Chu Yueli was staring at the little four-year-old boy in front of her with a thoughtful expression. Four years ago her mistress and adoptive mother made an urgent trip, and soon after she and her sister were contacted to go to the place where her mistress was, and there they found out that she had a son.

This news caused her and her sister to be shocked, and even years of cultivation with the sect techniques could not contain the shock in their cold hearts. They knew that sect rules could not be disobeyed, but apparently the sect leader herself had broken such a rule. Of course, they would never tell anyone about this, after all, the person in front of them had saved their lives and their sister's.

After talking for a while, Chu Yueli and her sister agreed to take care of Itachi. After all, they didn't mind that, and besides, taking care of a baby, let alone the son of the sect leader, could help them de-stress.

So during these four years, they took care together with Gong Yuxian of Itachi, they even began to call him their little brother. But they noticed that as Itachi grew older, he became a little more distant from them, and he always seemed to be very thoughtful.

As Itachi's mother she blamed herself for this, but she didn't know how to solve this problem, because every time she asked Itachi how he was feeling, she got the same answer.

"I'm fine, you don't have to worry."

That was the answer her son would give her before returning to cultivation. Gong Yuxian knew that any mother would be proud that her son was a great worker, but she still wanted to feel the warmth of her son, she wanted to feel him hugging her again, just like when he was a baby.

For this reason, she decided to send her son on a mission with Chu Yueli. She thought that this mission could make her son know more of the world, and maybe open up a little more.

"So what do you think? Are you interested in going?" Chu Yueli asked quietly as she stared at Itachi.

Itachi who was sitting on the bed on his knees slowly opened his eyes and said calmly, "I think it would be nice to get to know the world, after all, I've never left the sect before."

Chu Yueli let out a sigh of relief upon hearing Itachi's reply, she never expected that one day she would have to come to a 'man's' room asking him to go with her on a mission. If men from other sects knew about this it would not be possible to know their reactions.
