32 Chapter 32
Itachi continued flying at an incredible speed and within minutes he arrived at the place where he felt he should be.
Ahead of him was precisely the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace, the place his mother resided and was leader. For the first time since he came to this world Itachi felt a trace of doubt, he didn't know how his mother would react to his return even though he said he belonged here before he left, he still had some doubts.
The raven that guided Itachi seemed to have disappeared into the sky, as if it had already accomplished its mission, so Itachi could only stand there in the snow while watching the huge sect in the distance.
His heart was restless, this was one of the few times he didn't know what to do next. He didn't seem to realize it, but inside the sect was a beautiful woman sitting on a throne above all the people, this woman's face was cold but if one looked into her heart one would see how restless she was.
"Why am I like this?"
"Why am I like this?"
The two people muttered at the same time, and as if to cease this restlessness, they both flew into the air.
The woman walked out from inside the sect, leaving all the other women below her surprised, they don't remember their leader acting this way in the past years.
The same happened to Itachi who seemed to fly in the snow covered skies, he felt that if he didn't do this he might lose something important to him. It was as if his heartbeat was connected to someone else's, a feeling he only felt when he was with his mother, father or brother.
In the sky, the two people stared at each other from a distance, their beats were connected showing that there was a connection between them, the snow that was falling heavily seemed to have stopped in time, as if it wanted to see what would happen next.
"..."
Everything was very silent, neither of the two people uttered a single word all that could be heard was the sound of both of their hearts beating strongly. It was as if their hearts were talking and connecting.
Before Itachi could break the silence by saying a few words, he felt a wind blow towards his body, and then an icy body embraced him, he felt the icy hands of this woman touch his face, he felt her hugging him tightly as if she was afraid he would disappear. He felt tears fall on his chest.
His face could hide his feelings, but his heart could not.
"You've come back... Long'er." Gong Yuxian murmured with tears in his eyes.
This was probably the happiest day of her life, during the years when her son was not by her side, she constantly thought about leaving the sect and pursuing her son but she eventually gave up on that idea because she feared that if she left her son might return to the sect and she would no longer be here.
During these years she imagined what the reunion with her son would be like, but as the years went by she saw no sign of her son. Terrible thoughts were running through her head, until in the last few weeks she felt a great restlessness in her heart.
This frightened her deeply, because she felt that her son might be in danger. She became even more certain of this when she saw the phenomenon taking place in the skies, she had the feeling that her son was responsible for this phenomenon.
Under his mother's arms, Itachi couldn't utter a word, it was as if the words were stuck in his mouth. He didn't realize it but a few tears dripped from his face and fell under his mother's robes.
"I'm sorry..."
Those were the only words that were possible to come out of his mouth. He knew that apologizing might not concert the pain he had brought to his mother over the past few years, but he felt that this was all he could do at the moment.
Gong Yuxian rubbed her head against Itachi's, she didn't blame him for leaving, in fact, she felt even more guilty seeing her son apologizing to her, this was because she felt that it was actually all her fault. If she had chosen a better place to live with her son then all of this could have been avoided.
"Long'er you don't need to apologize, I've never been a good mother... In fact, I'm the one who should-"
She couldn't continue her sentence, because she felt her son returning her hug, this was rare, since he was born he rarely returned her hugs or affection.
Gong Yuxian began to think that this was a dream, first her son returned to her, and now her same son who was cold since he was born is hugging her affectionately.
"That must be a dream." She thought.

The two stayed hugging and talking for a few hours, until finally some female elders from the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace appeared, they looked at this scene in horror, after all the leader of the sect was hugging a man. But when they took a good look at the appearance of the person the sect leader was hugging, they realized who it was.
The sect leader's son, Long Xiao.
Noticing the gaze of the sect elders, he stood up next to his mother and facing the elders, he decided to show some of his strength to prevent trouble from arising in the future.
"I Long Xiao, I am back." He said as he leaked a bit of his aura from the Emperor Profound Realm, causing the sect elders to take a few steps back.
A little bit away from the sect elders were some of the seven fairies, and they were all looking at Long Xiao in surprise.
"He really has grown up, hasn't he sister?" Chu Yueli said with a rare smile on her face.
The woman next to her seemed to be as cold as the lowest temperature, but her eyes showed a trace of affection as she looked at Long Xiao from a distance. And without answering her sister, she retreated from the scene back to the sect.
