10 Chapter 10

Back in the forest where he received his heritage, Itachi noticed that things were normal, just like the first time he entered this place. The only notable difference, was that there were more profound beasts than usual, but that was not a problem for the current Itachi.

Even without his cultivation, he could easily deal with these profound beasts. So without difficulty, he cleared his way to a quiet area of the forest. This quiet area was located a little further northwest of the forest. In this area the amount of profound beasts was minuscule, and the reason was that there wasn't much food for the profound beasts to feed on, which forced them to wander in other areas of the forest.

Walking through this empty area, Itachi noticed that there were some movements coming from a direction ahead of his and curious to know what it was, he slowly approached until he could see a shadow in the distance.

The shadow slowly took shape and revealed itself to be a human being, or more precisely, a little girl the same age as Itachi, four years old.

The girl has a cute appearance, but Itachi knew that if she was given enough time, she would most likely be a beauty in the future. The girl's black hair matched perfectly with her pair of black eyes that at this moment were filled with endless sadness.

Her eyes were filled with tears which showed that she was going through a great moment of sadness.

Itachi who was sneaking around in the trees looked at the girl with pity in his eyes. The girl reminded him of Sasuke as a child who cried and was distraught when he learned that Itachi killed his parents and the entire clan.

"Snif! Why did you have to leave us, Mom?" The little girl mumbled sadly as she sniffled her nose.

Hearing the girl's speech, Itachi immediately realized what had happened.

"It seems that her mother has abandoned her." Itachi thought.

After watching for a while longer he decided to retreat to another place, he felt that it was not appropriate to stay and watch a little girl cry in the middle of the forest.

"Anyway, she won't face any dangers in this part of the forest, so this is fine." Itachi thought as he retreated to another area.

He was excited to start cultivating a world inside his body, maybe that would give him more clues about this world, and the real reason that old man had reincarnated him.

It didn't take long to find an area where he could cultivate quietly. Soon, Itachi found himself sitting near a small crystal clear lake, and it would be in this spot where Itachi would begin to cultivate the world inside his body.

Breathing in a calm manner, Itachi began to focus on the knowledge he gained from the inheritance to cultivate a world within his body. He discovered that before he could form a world in his body, he would need to have a stable base to support the world. And how would he get a stable base? He would have to cultivate a technique that would help him refine his body.

Star Refining, this was the name of the technique that Itachi obtained to refine his body. This technique consisted of absorbing the stars from the night sky, and using them to refine his own body, using the energy they possess. One must know that the energy contained in a star is simply too much for the current Itachi, so what he could do at the moment is absorb only a small fraction of the star.

With that in mind, Itachi slowly began trying to draw a star towards him. He tried for an entire hour until he could successfully attract a smaller star, and from this smaller star he could only absorb a small fraction of Profound Energy.

The Profound Energy absorbed from the star entered Itachi's body in a tyrannical manner.

"I didn't expect the energy from this star to be so powerful!" Itachi exclaimed in his mind.

Even with this Profound Energy threatening to destroy his body, he persisted and tried to refine it.

The process of refining the Profound Energy of the star, took two whole hours, and by the time Itachi finished the refining process it was late at night.

"If I continue at this rate, it will take me around four years before I have a solid foundation to start building a world inside my body." Itachi muttered.

Even if it took four years to create a solid foundation in his body, he felt that it was not bad. When he finished refining the Star Energy, he felt a great boost in his strength, moreover 'that' which was resting in his soul seemed to have accelerated the process of strengthening his soul.

Itachi was thinking of returning to the hotel where he was staying, but just as he was about to do so, he heard a shout in the distance, and the voice that shouted was somewhat familiar to him.

"Is that girl still in the forest?" Itachi thought as he squinted between the trees. He decided to look around to see what was going on.

He quickly arrived at the spot where the girl was crying earlier, and there he spotted the little girl looking disheveled and bruised. In front of the little girl was a Profound Beast from the Profound Elementary Realm.

Itachi shook his head at this situation, before leaving this place, he said that the little girl would be safe due to this being a secluded area of the forest, but it seems that he was wrong.

As a kind and good-hearted person, he couldn't ignore this kind of situation, especially when he could deal with this Profound Beast easily.

"It seems that this Profound Beast is alone, that's good..."

Before making a move, Itachi observed the surroundings to make sure that there wasn't a pack along with the profound beast. Because if there was indeed a pack there would be a lot of trouble, but perhaps due to luck that wasn't happening.

Taking his sword from the storage ring, Itachi waited for the best opportunity to attack. He wanted to finish off this profound beast in one blow, and for that reason he decided to sneak further ahead while keeping on high alert, just in case the profound beast attacked the little girl.

At this moment, he was only a few feet away from the Beast who seemed not to have realized that he had already become the hunting target of a little four-year-old boy.

"Get away!" The little girl shouted bravely. She didn't seem to be afraid of the profound beast, but you could see that every time the profound beast took a step forward the little girl took a step back.

Itachi kept watching, and when the profound beast jumped towards the little girl, he realized that it was time to act. So without a second thought, he concentrated all his profound energy into his legs and in one swift leap, he launched himself at the back of the Profound Beast.

With a clean cut from his sword, Itachi slashed the neck of the Profound Beast who died without knowing what attacked him from behind.

The little girl had her eyes closed, so she couldn't see what happened, she thought this was her end, after all, she was too weak to fight a Profound Beast when she herself had almost non-existent cultivation.

"Hm?" The little girl exclaimed as she realized that the pain she imagined did not come, and in fact everything was completely silent.

Slowly she began to open her eyes....
