11 A sad revelation......New journey

Looking at Ling'er in the distance I can feel that she is not the same as in the past.Now her gaze became cold and distant.It's like she is looking at a complete stranger that a childhood friend.This revelation hurt me more that I thought it would be.Steeling my resolve I put up a stance.

Ling'er immediately dashed to me with a sword using some kind of ice skill.But I just calmly defended against her attack and I am starting to think how to win without hurting her.Thinking for a bit while defending I decided to use some fire dou qi alongside the Yellow Spark to deal the least ammount of damage and make her faint.Using my newly acquired speed after my body refining I came to her back and chopped her neck.

Like this our short fight ended with me being the winner of the competition.But I wasn't in the mood to celebrate.I just picked up Ling'er and stepped out of the ring.Some elders tried to stop me but I paid no heed to it and just used my speed to arrive at some valley.Placing her softly on the ground I waited her to wake up.Seeing that she is going to take a while I started cultivating.

After a little more that 2 hours she started moving.I knew that she is almost awake so stopped cultivating.Looking at her I realised that I still love her.While a part of me wants to just confess to her.the other part knows that we are not meant for each other.I don't want her stay alone while I am travelling to the multiverse.

Having this internal struggle in my mind,I decided to let fate take its course.If it's meant for us to be together,it will happen regardless anything.

Opening her eyes she saw her childhood friend(and crush).Feeling a bit happy she thought that this is a dream so she went to hug him tightly.But after a few seconds feeling that the warmth is pretty real,she became suprised and jumped to a distance.When she looked in his eyes she saw joy.and sadness.She thought why are you sad.But still she kept her stoic face and asked:

'Where are we?And why are you with me now?'

'Well after our match I carried you somewhere without prying ears to have a talk.'

'And what do you want from me?Want to show me that you're better than me?!'

'No!I just wanted to ask why you are so cold towards me?Why are you so keen to keep me out of your troubles?You know,you just need to ask me and I will topple the earth to help you.'

'It is not you business about what I do and I ask you to keep your nagging to yourself.'

'....Alright.I still will always be your friend.'

Seeing the last look on his face,she thought that she might have been too hard on him.But still this needs to be done.She doesn't want him to be involved with those people.

After the conversation with Ling'er,Duan Ren returned to take his rewards.After waiting for a bit he got a few rare herbs alongside a beast fire of fire wolf.It was pretty ordinary but Ren just absorbed it cause it wouldn't give him any harm.Though it didn't helped him much with his fire law comprehension,it still made the fire a bit more hotter and condensed.

Thinking about what to do he decided to go to the dessert near the black corner region to try to find the heavenly flame withing the territory.Talking a bit with his mother he decided to inform her about his cultivation and goals.

After hearing about his accomplishments she felt both proud and sad.Proud of his talent and dedication and sad because she might not see him for much more time.Reminding him to be careful she took a last look at his face before going back to her home.

Ren himself knew that what he is doing to his mother is really heartless but this is what he choose.

Escaping from his thoughts he decided to dedicate all of his time to training his new moves.Using the herbs which he won he was planning to boost his cultivation to the 5-6 star of the da dou shi realm.He knows that he would need as much fighting power as he can manage to have in order to reap all the benefits from the flame.He didn't had the chance to absorb a heavenly flame so he knows that without the fabled fire mantra it would be really hard to mantain this kind of flame.

Like this he trained his fire qi,sword qi which had 15% completition and his body.he can confidently win against a peak da dou shi realm,now that he is in the 5 star.Even a 1 star Dou Ling shouldn't be a big problem.

Like this he arrived to the dessert,where he would meet his beloved soulmate....
