Unexpected Meeting

Ah...., where am i? What's this dark place? Seems like I'm inside eternal darkness. Edword can't see anything nor can he hear. Only a wired feeling that he is passing through something, something sinister, which feels lighter than air.

Edword became curious because he couldn't find the source of the voice. Seems like the voice is inside his head. A tingling sensation gradually taking over his head. He could hear the voice clearly but each word was giving him a tingling sensation.

Yes, I can hear but where am I? and who are you? Edword replied and strangely he couldn't hear his own voice. So the conversation was actually going through mind, Edword thought.

First of all, I can't answer all of your questions because there is not enough time. Actually, you are passing the cycle or reincarnation. Now, listen carefully, because this part is extremely important. You can only ask question after you select your option. You heard it right, I'm giving you two option.

Edword was about to curse but a sharp pain started to invade his head, the moment he tried to talk.

Edword was about to say something but he felt like something started to suck his very soul. He started to loose consciousness.

Ah.... now what? Edword felt like he woke up from a long sleep. His whole body was numb. But strangely this place was also dark. He couldn't see anything. Damn... am I blind? He could hear his voice now. It sounded like a male voice of early twenties. Great... at-least I can hear now. Edword tried to move but seems like the body was still numb. Some how he was able to stand and tried to understand where he was. It was still dark but suddenly he saw a red line and an arrow which was glowing. Gradually he started to see some letters too. Only two words were written there "Level 0".

So, this is the system given to me as a gift. My vision became somehow like computer screen though not much information was there. Only the level and the direction. Not even the stats. The level started from zero which is understandable but why no statistics? Where is the skill tree? Moreover, the system seems to be too primitive as no voice was there. Do I need to activate it? Edword shouted "system" nothing happened. "Skills", still nothing happened. Damn.. what is the use of this system if I cant even activate it?

Edword started to move towards the red arrow. At-least the direction is there. He still couldn't see anything other than the red arrow and the level information. Gradually, his body started to feel light. Seems like he started to recover strength. Strangely, the earth under his feet felt a bit worm and after walking for sometime, he could see something bluish at the end of red arrow.

The closer he was going towards the red arrow, the blue light was getting bigger. Gradually, he reached at the end of the path and found that it was a portal that was glowing with bluish light. The system that was supposed to help him was still same. No more information was there. Seems like I need to enter the portal, Edword thought. He entered one of his finger inside the blue light of the portal to see if anything happens. Nothing blocked his finger but felt a bit worm. So, he entered the portal and a whole new world opened in front of him.
