6 5 - The Town

[U.S.A, California]

In a forest near a small town, there formed a glowing circle with weird symbols. Then the next second two people appeared in the center of the circle. They both looked to in their youth. The taller one wore a haori and had unruly black hair, blackish blue eye with his hair covering his left eye.

The shorter one had silver white hair with hazel almost golden like eyes. He wore a dark green v-neck with a high collar leather jacket over it.

They were both Giyu and Vali respectively who had just finished their mission briefing from Azazel's office. Right now they had stepped out of the magic circle courtesy of the young lucifer.

" Where are we right now? " Giyu asked his companion

" We are in Littleville, a small town north of Westwood city located in the state of California." Vali said

( a/n : I know the names are genius )

'AH, I forgot that this was a different world. So there are bound to be things different, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some states with different names from my original world.

" ... Are you going to do your own thing while I do my mission or will you follow me?" Giyu asked

Hearing Giyu's question a huge grin formed on Vali's face and Giyu instantly knew his answer. " Of course I'm going to follow. I have to analyze your moves for our next battle ' Vali stated

*~sigh* ' of course he would ' Giyu thought

"Very well then, let's go " Said Giyu as he turned and started walking towards the location of the town with Vali following after him

[ Littleville ]

As the duo entered the town they both went to check into an inn. They both decided to book separate rooms for at least a three as they don't know how long the mission would take.

Giyu himself decided that he would scout the town so he went to scout. Walking through the town he couldn't help but be impressed. There was probably a population of 8,000-10,000. He noted that there was only one mall which was in the center of the town.

The center of the town was the shopping district while the north was the schools. It had grades from kindergarten all the way to high school. From asking around from different locals, if some wanted to pursue higher education they have to move out since there isn't a college in town. The nearest one was in Westwood which was still a pretty ordinary one.

The South was obviously the residence district where all the homes were located at. Vali and GIyu's inn bordering the resident district and shopping distrinct.

After hours of questioning and searching Giyu found what he was looking for. A church near the residential district, directly east of it. It only took about a 20 minute walk to get there fro the residential district.

After asking some kind locals, he found out that it had been abandoned for years. That was until a few months ago until a few people moved here and was picked up again. The 'priests' and 'sisters' had used funds to rebuild the place which was finally complete a few weeks ago.

After it was rebuilt it was open the very next day. To which the people had started going to every day since. There had not been any accidents yet, though some of the priests are encouraging some people to stay behind. Suspicious to say the least.

[ Inn ]

" So that is where the church is at and you said they rebuilt it? " Vali asked as he sat on his bed while he turned to look at Giyu who was leaning on the wall.

" Hn "

" Well they are at least smart enough to make it seem legit" Vali said " So when are you going to act?

"soon, I need to check the church out, I also sense a few energy signatures in that direction " Said Giyu as he walked towards the window to face the direction of the church. " There also seems to be a few energy signatures there, at least 2 low level fallen angels while the others are merely cannon fodder "

" Hmm, I see. Well you're already strong enough to handle this so I'll just relax here " Vali said as he laid himself on his bed.

"Hn" was all that was heard followed with foot steps alongside the closing of the door.

" Well hello there would you like to donate in the name of the father? " One man said to Giyu who merely nodded and gave the man a $20 bill.

" While thank you young man, may the lord watch over you " The 'priest' gave an amicable smile and nodded.

' He's dead though ' was the first thing that popped up in Giyu's mind as he nodded back towards the man. He couldn't believe that this guy was probably a psychopath.

" Why don't you join us for sermons young man?' You can learn a thing or two if you go " The man said.

" ... What time does it start? " Giyu asked as he checked the time on his recently bought phone. Checking the time it read 7:40.

" Oh, we are just about to start. We usually start at 8:00, do you want to come inside and wait there?" the man once again asked to which earned a nod in return from Giyu.

" Then follow me then " The man said as he led Giyu towards the Church's entrance.

[ 20 minutes later ]

Giyu stood with the crowd as the all had to stand up and recite the verses from the bible. As he was doing so he made sure to take note of his surroundings. There were a good amount of people at least 100-200 people. The church was big so it had no problem holding in that much people.

Giyu scanned the crowd and noticed that there weren't much teenagers. Just elderly, housewives, and children. He waited until they were allowed to sit down and he closed his eyes and started to scan the room with his chakra. Making sure to only scan the citizens.

After a few seconds of scanning he found a few who had the same frequency and aura as Vali. Not the his demonic one but the one for those who possess a sacred gear. He found a total of four possessors. He didn't have to worry about 3 since they were very very faint. It was like 0.1% to Vali's 100% once he uses divine dividing.

The first two were elderly and the last one was a housewife. Giyu didn't need to worry about them since their aura was so weak they would probably never awaken it for the rest of their lives. Though the 4th one was what really caught his attention, it was a little boy. Judging from the aura it should at least be a above average sacred gear.

Though he wasn't the only one to notice. He saw the 'Father' along with the different 'priests' subtly turn their gaze towards the boy.

{a/n: don't ask how they only just noticed the boy when they had weeks to do it}

After the sermons Giyu decided to stay a bit longer to watch the boy. But he made sure that not to look suspicious. As he did so he saw a few 'priests' along with a few 'sisters' approach the boy and his mother. They began talking and from what Giyu perceived they convinced the mother to make the little boy help the church every afternoon or mornings.

Though they also asked other parents for their child's help too, to make them less suspicious. Of course most parents agreed since they wanted their children to be religious.

'How Troublesome' Giyu thought as he walked out of the church.
