CH. 8 First Class

After Ryu has reached the class, he enters the room and saw a group of students which he dislikes, especially Yukihira Souma. That boy just asks too much. Ryu enters the room and everyone was staring at him.

He found a chair and sit, "So, I will be your teacher from now on." said Ryu and look outside the window. The class was so quiet as they were waiting and expecting Ryu to says something. However, it didn't come as he was staring outside.

After a few minutes of silent, Ryu stands up and look at the students. "Two hours," said Ryu. "Cook me something that is the best that you could do," said Ryu and start the clock. Suddenly everyone rushed from their seat and went to the kitchen behind.

There are many kinds of vegetables, meat, and spices. There is also all sort of sauces. On each station has a name on it. The student went into each station and find the ingredients. Souma, Akira, and Ryo went ahead and they were preparing the ingredient, however, the others are still thinking.

While the students were busy cooking, Ryu lay down a tatami and placed a tea set beside him. He also took out a wooden bento box out and placed by the tea set. He opens the box and there were mochi, daifuku, and some dango.

He sipped his tea and slowly eat the dessert. He was looking outside as the wind blows through the window. It was calm on his side, but it was busy in the kitchen.

After an hour of waiting, a student walks toward Ryu and it was Akira Hayama. He placed a pineapple in front of Ryu, who was looking at him. Akira smile and open the pineapple as it was fried rice in the pineapple and many scents rushed out as the pineapple was open.

Ryu could smell the different spices, 'He improves.' thought Ryu as the pineapple fried rice was mixed with many kinds of spices and it has a good combination of spices. "Enjoy," said Akira. Ryu took a spoon of the pineapple fried rice and eat it.

BAM!

The different taste of the combination of spices make the fried rice taste good, and there was also the sweet and little sour pineapple. There was also a good taste after the food was gone. However, Ryu knew that there was no excitement in this dish as it was plain. The only excitement was the spices and pineapple.

Ryu looks at Akira who was also looking at him, "It was better than last time." said Ryu which caused Akira to smile. "However it is too plain. Pineapple and the spices can't be the only excitement in the dish. There is no excitement or something which bring me in wanting to eat it the second time." said Ryu and glare at Akira, who was gripping his fist.

The other students were looking and some of them are scary by Ryu glare. The glare that Ryu was sending was like a blade, which caused many to flinched and took a step back. While Yukihira Souma and Ryo Kurokiba were excited and they were looking forward to it.

After two hours, many students placed their dish in front of Ryu. Some were good, some were bad, and some were disappointing. Ryu was getting bored and tired, suddenly a dish was placed in front of him. It was a small mochi that has three colors. Ryu looks and found that it was Alice Nakiri dish.

He took his teapot and poured it into a cup. Ryu sipped the tea and eat the mochi. However after the mochi enters his mouth, he could taste the sweetness of red beans. Ryu was enjoying the mochi, but he was surprised after a few secs of eating the mochi as from the sweet taste there was a sourness which spread throughout his mouth.

He sourness was mixing perfectly with the sweetness of the red beans. He knew that the sourness was from dried plum. There was also a tiny extract of lemon in the dried plum. He smiles at Alice Nakiri dish, as there was many surprised and it was worth his time.

However, the dish would be better if the lemon extract in the dried plum could be lower, as the sourness completely blocked away from the sweetness of the mochi. He looks at Alice, "Eat it" said Ryu as he placed the mochi in front of her.

Alice looks at Ryu and smile, she took the mochi and eat it. At first, she was smiling, but after a few minutes, she looks at Ryu and bowed her head, which caused Hisako to be shocked. 'Alice Nakiri is bowing at someone?!' thought Hisako.

After trying Hisako and Ryo Kurokiba dish. Ryu also gives out advice about the dished to them. He also tried Megumi, Miyoko, Ikumi and Takumi dish. It was good, but it could be better. Finally, after trying many dishes, Yukihira placed his dish in front of Ryu.

It was an Omurice. Ryu looks at Yukihira Souma, who was smiling at him. He took a spoon of the omurice and eat it. The egg was soft and the sauce was mixing perfectly with the soft egg. As Ryu was eating it, he noticed that there was a Pickled Plum in the rice.

'So he uses the technique which he uses from the previous Shokugeki.' thought Ryu as there was also other things he added in his dish. There was also the tomato sauce which Souma use in Breakfast Buffet Day and the Karaage that he made when he was back at home.

Ryu put down the spoon and look at Souma, "Did you listen to their 'voice'?" asked Ryu. Souma smile, "Yes". After hearing Souma answer, Ryu stand up, "It can still be better." said Ryu and walk out of the class with his tatami mat and tea set.

The class ended and everyone leaves the room, except Souma as he was standing still. Megumi and waiting and looking at him. Suddenly Souma smiles and left the room with Megumi and went to another class.

"How is everything?" asked a man. "It is going well, sir!" said another man. "Good." said the man. "Prepare for the next stage." "Yes, sir!" shouted another man. The man was left alone in the room. He opens his phone and called someone.

"Are you alone, sir?" asked a voice. "Yes, also prepare for the next stage." said the man. "Yes, Azami-same." said the voice.

Ryu was walking back to his store and he felt something. He looks around, "Something is coming." said Ryu and enter his store.
