Meeting with Wang Chao Part 1

After that Wang Wei spent a few more days teaching the new disciples Buddhist scriptures and learning from the unique way Huang Xue utilized basic arrays to achieve flight.

What he found out about the way Huang Xue's way of using arrays, greatly astounded him. He even saw that it would become a staple mark of the way Buddhist cultivators fight in the future.

What Huang Xue did in order to fly was to modify an extremely basic Water Creation array that transformed nearby non attribute Qi into Water Attribute Qi therefore seemingly creating the effect of water appearing from thin air.

However, Huang Xue modified it not to transform it into Water Attribute Qi but to Wind Attribute Qi and imprinted the array on the soles of his feet. It would then create Wind Attribute Qi and thus that Wind Attribute Qi would then propel him upward.

Wang Wei realized why this concept was never introduced in the Celestial Wang realm, it was because it was never needed.

As when Qi-Cultivators were able to inscribe arrays it would already be useless to use them in such a way because they would have a strong enough soul that the attacks they could unleash using it would be much stronger than using mere arrays.

However, for Buddhist cultivators in the early stage using arrays in such a way would perfectly fix the defect of them not having a strong enough soul and would increase the battle power immeasurably.

For example, they could imprint a Fire Creation array on their palms that could achieve the effect of creating devastating attacks that utilized very little of their soul strength and as a matter of fact, it would be an almost unnoticeable drain on their stamina.

Nonetheless, the required time that is needed to master arrays would seriously hamper the cultivation speed of the practitioner and it would require cultivators to make a balance between constantly cultivating and improving their art of inscribing arrays thus maintaining battle ability.

Therefore Wang Wei immediately told Huang Xue to continue to explore this way of fighting in the future as he saw potential in it. Of course, Huang Xue accepted and swore to explore the use of arrays in the future.

After that Wang Wei immediately left the Sect and went up into the sky, he then chose a random continent that was the closest to him and flew towards it at a speed that was even faster than the speed of sound.

And even traveling at this ridiculous speed that he couldn't even imagine traveling at in the past, it still took him two entire days to reach the edge of the continent.

Once he reached the edge of the continent it was still light out, however, he didn't want to be discovered yet.

Therefore he floated high above the continent in a lotus position as he waited for the night to fall, and with his cultivation of the second stage of the Soul Cleansing realm it was easy to remain floating even for months at a time, let alone days.

After night fell he executed his stealth technique and hid the halo behind his head, by doing so he effectively became one with the night and even cultivators would find it difficult to locate him even if he was standing right in front of them.

Wang Wei then ventured into the continent and using his gigantic spiritual sense it was a breeze to locate a nearby village even on an enormous continent.

Once he found it barely took him an hour to learn the entire language with his powerful thinking ability that was improved by the cleansing of his soul.

He then spent half a day to learn of the situation on this continent and he quickly realized who this civilization was assigned to.

Wang Wei was glad to find out that Wang Chao was the one who controlled this civilization as they were on relatively positive terms and not Wang Long as that would be quite problematic.

After listening in and finding out where Wang Chao was located he quickly took to the skies before flying at the speed of sound towards the location of Wang Chao.

When he was near enough for his spiritual sense to cover the city he was shocked to find scenes of carnage all across the city, and a fourth of the population massacred while the others hid whitin their homes.

Wang Wei then used his spirit sense to locate Wang Chao deep in thought sitting in his throne room while two trembling servants were desperately fanning him with all of their strenght.

Since his anger has been removed Wang Wei didn't feel anger at seeing the suffering of the mortals merely sadness and sympathy at their demise and the trauma the others endured while watching their friends or family being slaughtered.

His curiosity also burned within his chest and so he immediately flew over into the Wang Chao's palace while his halo burned bright behind him like a second sun attracting the attention of the mortals below that once they saw him didn't even dare to look at him again.

Wang Wei then landed in front of the palace and walked in much to the shock of the remaining palace staff that as soon as they saw him dropped to their knees in the deepest bow they could muster.

Wang Chao was also alerted with how much sound all of the servants were making, so he quickly made his way towards the entrance of the palace.

Once Wang Chao saw Wang Wei there was an immediate look of relief on his previously tense face as he then bowed and said....
