Chapter 2

When I woke up, I found myself laying in an abandoned building.

Well, there is good and a piece of bad news.

Good news is that my Ritual worked and I was successful in transmigrating to a new body. But, the bad news is that my new body is in very bad shape, to say the very least. It looks to me like that the previous owner was beaten very badly, probably it was also his cause of death. But due to that fact, I am in a body with broken bones and overall very bad shape. Not to mention the fact that previous occupant of this body didn't take very good care of his body, as evidenced by the fact that I am currently in a very fat body.

Alright, no use crying over spilled milk. I guess I would have to make do. Just as I slowly started to sit up despite the pain, I was hit by a very bad headache. With a piercing headache, came a set of memories.

But I didn't panic and focused on the new set of memories. I mean, this ain't my first rodeo, I have already experienced it, the last time I got transmigrated.

I fought through the pain and focused on assimilating the new memories.

Even though this body was new, I still had my high IQ and eidetic memory. It didn't take long for me to completely assimilate these new memories as my own.

Turns out that the previous owner of this body was also called Aiden Canis. Also, true to my Ritual conditions, magic did, in fact, exist in this world.

Aiden of this world was born in a very old and powerful Canis family. Canis family is, in fact, an old family of Wizards and knights.

But before I go on about Wizards, knights, and other things, let me first explain the general overview of this world. Turns out that this world is almost identical to my previous two worlds, that is to say, I am still on earth. On the surface, it's almost identical to my original world's earth, but the similarities end there. In this world exists many supernatural and fantastical beings like Wizards, knights, vampires, werewolves and many other beings. But, they are hidden from the eyes of normal people. Normal people just think of them as fairy tails and myths.

Canis family mainly consists of Wizards and Knights.

In fact, there are no normal family members who are part of the Canis family's core members. If there are any family members born without aptitude for being a wizard or knight, they are cast out of family and are sent out to live on their own, without any exceptions. But, If any of their descendants have the aptitude for becoming either a wizard or a knight, then these descendants can go back to Canis family.

Aiden of this world was born into the main Canis family, in fact, he was the son of current clan head. But because he didn't have any aptitude for becoming either wizard or knight, he too was cast out of the main Canis family, about three years ago, when he was 14 years old.

There exist four types of people in this world. First, those who possess both mind power and elemental affinity. These type of people are the only ones who could become wizards.

Second, people who don't have mind power but they possess elemental affinity. They can become knights by increasing their body strength and eventually use elemental attacks on higher levels.

Third, people who possess mind power but no elemental affinity. They can't become either a wizard or a knight due to having no elemental affinity. They have high IQ and are generally very smart due to having mind power. They can't become strong due to lack of elemental affinity but they can choose secondary occupations like Potion master etc. Aiden belonged to this category. But, as Canis family didn't specialize in secondary occupations, he was still cast out family.

Then there the fourth kind, people with neither mind power nor elemental affinity. They are mostly normal people with no knowledge of the supernatural world. The only way for them to become stronger is to become a vampire, werewolves and the likes.

Aiden, in fact, had a twin sister who in fact had a high aptitude for becoming a wizard. But, he didn't see her much because she rarely came out of her room as she spent almost all of her free time meditating, to increase her mind to become a stronger wizard and studying spell models.

Aiden too didn't give up and meditated for hours every day since he was little. Even though he had no aptitude for becoming a wizard, he was still able to access the family's library because he was the son of the family head.

Aiden, in hopes of finding a way to become stronger read through almost all books in the library, which were about Wizards or knights. Even though he didn't find what he was looking for, he was still very knowledgeable. He also meditated according to a high-level meditation technique for wizards and had very high mind power due to years of meditation.

Even after he was cast out of the family, after he was 14, he didn't stop and still meditated for hours every day.
