18 Totems
"What electives are you going to choose," Aunt min asked jack.
"I was thinking to opt for Arithmancy, Study of Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures What do you think about it". jack replied.
"Pretty straightforward, I expected you will choose these subjects but these subjects will be hard you need to spend a considerable amount of time in it"
They were celebrating Christmas like last year in his home with his family. but this year it was a special surprise as his sister did her first magic, It was due to jack as he was using legilimency on her to see if there was a core he saw a hazy black-type core he approached with his soul energy. it triggered something and a magic output happened or underage magic she moved an object toward her unconsciously.
She was pretty mad at jack after she got to know all about magic from his aunt and like jack did not tell her about it about Hogwarts and all.
She was currently 9 years old she had about 2 years till she attends Hogwarts Ginny's batch. Jack told her about Hogwarts what it was like about the Houses, studies, friends, the professors, and the bullying and about aunt min position there and how she helped him.

Hogwarts, Kitchen.
Jack was having sorta birthday party at the kitchens with his friends the Hogwarts elves were serving them with the cake.
The elves were very pitiful creatures, they were the first unfortunate race massively affected by the calamity due to soul masters along with other forgotten races .as the world balances shifted due to the towers. the elves were the peaceful nature-loving or dependent on nature.due to the towers nature or elves were part of the first sacrifice by the evil soul masters they were almost eradicated.
They were selected as the first sacrifice as the sacrifice required a lot of life force and that time it was known that elves had more life force than any other humans as they have a longer lifespan and about the myth of their tree which they worship as it contained regeneration or power to extend life.
By the time the other party which included the light and grey soul masters arrived the elves almost lost more than 70% of their population and the tree which they worship was eradicated, used as a sacrifice. gradually the elves became soo weak that they had to depend on a wizard's magic bond to survive and become slaves.
It was due to this incident all-out war happened and the elf's sacrifices completed the tower to some degree. Jack got this information from Mr.Dean about asking the origin of the house-elves.

Soon it will be time for exams. He wanted the output to be the same as last year be in the top 10 of the second years.
He had completed the 4th palace legilimency after the creation of the palace he had advanced into his soul cultivation. He opened the book the Winchesters guide he was eager to know his new abilities.
There was a new Meditation Technique as jack expected, the new abilities he got was related to manipulation and totems it was not simple as he read this description and was awed by the technique or ability of the palaces.
The 5th palace ability was Soul Manipulation (part1/2).it was too not complete. but it was a major part or base for his future spells or improvement in the soul. as the named implied, by using soul manipulation he can easily improve the rate of spells fired or multiple spells at a time depending on the level of user.
Other techniques based on Soul Manipulation included telepathy to speak to someone directly through the soul, Telekinesis to move a certain object with his will, it was advanced than his wandless casting by will it will happen.
The 6th palace ability was to create totems to have certain abilities of a Magical beast by using its soul there was an example like if get a soul of magical beast like an XXXX he will get XXXX abilities
It was like a ritual to have certain species' bloodline or their bloodline ability.
As soon as Totem power came into jack's mind he thought to use the Basilisk as the totem as it was dying or going to be dead soon, he may as well use it. any ability of the basilisk he may acquire may give him a huge boost.
But the process to acquire a totem was complicated he needed to do that process near a killed beast within an hour before the beast soul dissipates use its blood and soul as a ritual.
For Jack, Two conditions were not a problem if he chose the Basilisk as a Totem as both can be available to him if he planned accordingly, the problem was if he can handle it as Basilisk was a peak tire or an advanced Magical beast in comparison with phoenix, dragon, etc.
Jack consulted Mr.dean about it that night about the totems. told him about the two new abilities and his choice to use basilisk as a totem.
"What do you think about it?" Jack asked Mr.dean
"You are Crazy if you think you can handle that much power of a 900+ years basilisk you will die or burst with that much energy even as you are soul master you will die"
"Are there no alternatives?" Jack asked.
"According to my knowledge, there is none as I am not too proficient or Knowledgeable in rituals you can see if there is anything in the core room but there might be anything as there was no ritual masters in the Hogwarts all this time". Mr.dean replied.
Jack went to the core room and researched about the rituals. he just found information on lesser Magical beast which can be done on no of rituals but nothing above that grade he was disappointed as he was getting a rare chance to get Basilisk abilities but he was not able to acquire.
"You can research which families were proficient in the rituals or you can use the help of goblins they probably have the answer to it".
" but to get there help use need to bleed a lot of capital as that type of information is currently forbidden now and it's rare. or you can use the identity of a Soul Master and make some promises as your value is more or exponential in their eyes than anything".
"why?".Jack questioned him.
"As you know the goblins race was present at that time too so they probably knew about the war and what abilities the soul masters wielded you can expect a transaction of sorts as their powerful artifacts which they are proud of have soul attributes too or need a soul master to help them in working or activating their artifacts".
Jack left all that behind and focused on improving his soul energy as if he gets that chance he has to have completed the 5th palace of the soul palace and have started his 6th palace foundation or to gather enough soul energy for it.
As it was being more difficult to improve and by his improvement in the last month it will take him approx 2 years to reach that level and he had exactly that much about time.
The exams also started he had performed well in theory and less in practical so to be seen as any genius Muggleborn in the group so to not have any doubts about him as he had topped some pureblood last year by being in top 10 of first years.
Soon the exams finished he planning for the next year where the main plots start.he was wondering if he should visit harry potter and help him or do that in his second year as to not change anything with the plot with Voldemort around and dumbledore eyes on him in the first year.
Summer Vacation.
Jack was practicing his soul's eyes he had become proficient in it he was able to see even different people magic channels if present it was like seeing the nerves or veins of a person in the hazy white figure, not like an X-ray but he can see if anyone do a spell through the wand or by hand like movement of magic in person body.
It will be very advantageous to him in Healing magic, Dealing with or applying Wards, making artifact using ancient runes he can check the flow of magic by his Soul's eyes.
He was looking forward to the other part of Soul's eyes palace, to what he can achieve with it.as he can see that all his palaces are interconnected for his future abilities like for legilimency he needed soul's eyes and now soul manipulation which uses his base abilities too like soul's eyes.
he thaught his sister some theory of magic first-year stuff. she was too excited she had borrowed his first-year books for it .who would not be?.
