1 Prologue

Christian's Point of View

"Oh, Elizabeth was a very beautiful woman! She always help me take care of my pets when she was a teenager!"

I crossed my arms and bowed my head in grief as my mother continues her speech in front of everyone.

I looked around the gray scenery with moderate rainfall occuring and looked at my father who is heavily weeping from the distant as well as my other relatives. I looked beside and saw my daughter who is heavily crying from the loss of someone who has been special to her. I hugged her tightly as I tried controlling my tears.

It is the day when we get to see my wife one last time. One last time in this world. One last time and I still can't accept it.

She committed suicide based on the police's investigation. She committed suicide even if she was person living with contentment. She had happiness everytime.

What would make her commit suicide?

"T-thank you f-for listening t-to my story of h-how Elizabeth saved our pet cats," my mom finished her speech with a shaky voice that she got from crying.

I stood up from my seat in tears as it was my cue to speak in front of everyone. I walked towards the coffin of my wife with my hands behind my back.

"Good a-afternoon everyone."

My face stood confidently while staring at everyone who are continuously crying.

But their immense sadness will suddenly turn into terror.

Within a second, I started to smirk at them as my tears fall down from my eyes.

"I am supposed to tell a very touching story involving my wife, Elizabeth. But everyone! You have to listen to this," I lifted my voice to make sure that I can be heard in this noisy raindrops on top of the roof made from tarpaullins.

"While the police has found evidences of apparent suicide in my wife's incident, I'm here to contradict their claims."

I started to walk in the isle, looking around each others' faces filled with confused eyes.

"Because I have gathered enough evidences that my wife did not commit suicide." I grinned heavily as I tried not to weep in front of everyone.

As I opened my speech, everyone else started to chatter and whisper to each other.

I assume they don't believe me? What caught my eye is that someone sitting in the end row of seats raised his hand and stood up.

"How are you sure that it was not a suicide?", the old man asked me with one of his eyebrows higher.

I laughed loudly as the weather starts to get worse and the trees around the cemetery starts to sway slowly.

"Let me begin with this news headline from the last decade," I revealed a single page from an old newspaper in my hands.

Before I gave this piece of newspaper to a random person, I looked back at my father who is just staring at me blankly.

"What is this suppose to mean?"

My cousin, whom I gave the newspaper to, asked me with a confused face.

I chuckled and took it from her. I smiled at everyone fakely as I tried reading the newspaper headline one more time.

"I'll tell you the real story about my wife's grave full of lies."
