Day 18

No land was found and a storm appeared onto the left, right, and behind of us. But not on us. It's closing us in. Making sure that we don't turn back or even towards a different course. Everybody sees the storms. The whole crew is panicking and hungry. We were unable to feed any of the people.

Mr. Green even looked to be hungry, but he still has some meat on him. He will probably survive longer than any other crew member just by his weigh alone.

Harry suggested to me that we need to find some food or the crew will start to die of starvation by tomorrow. Harry was just as scared and hungry as I was. Neither of us knew what to do in this situation. I don't know what to do. We're surrounded by storms on 3 of our sides and there is no more food available. Even if we trek the storms, we have no idea if there is anything there. I have to do something. Whatever is left of my crew needs me. There aren't many of us left.

Update:

I just thought of one idea to satisfy the crew's hunger. It's late at night. Most of the crew except for Harry is asleep. I went to the storage and found Mr. Wizzerson's body. I opened up the cloth surrounding it. Flies flew out. The body is somewhat decayed, but still has a decent amount of meat on it. I erased this thought immediately and wrapped it back up. I can't do that. I'm not a cannibal. I ran back to my quarters and I started writing this. This was only a one time thought. It won't happen again.

Update 2:

I went back to the storage and took the body to the kitchen area. The chef wasn't there. Why would they? They should be asleep. I unwrapped the cloth. The body had the same rat-sized maggots on it. I don't now how those disgusting bugs got so big. But I thought to myself. They have a good amount of meat on them as well. I started a fire for the stove. Grabbed the pots. Grabbed the maggots and threw them into the pot. As soon as they hit the bottom of the pan, I could hear small screeches and screams. The fire cooking the maggots alive. The smell of the rat-sized maggots being cooked was invigorating. There was some sauce and spices on the counter. I put them in and mashed it all together. I created stew. Very lovely stew. This would be able to feed the crew for tomorrow. I had some myself to see if it was suitable for the men. It was. It really was. I hope the crew likes it.

Update 3: Now, that I'm not hungry anymore, I'm back to my senses. I'm sorry, but we're desperate. We don't have a choice. I can't let the crew know, but I can't let them starve, either. The duty of the captain is to make sure the ship and its crew are in top condition. I'm sorry.
