4 The Mountain Range

Jorgun's eyes fluttered open, his brown eyes looking straight at the stony ground, he grunted and stood up.

He inspected his wounds but to his surprise, his shoulder had already started healing, and his back burns were only a minor itch.

'Must be the Scroll and maybe even the enhanced strength, Scroll show me any new skills'

'Ah, what a godly skill haha, but how should I train them, maybe I should go to Surt for the heat HAHAHA.'

Jorgun got out of the cave, only to find 13 dog people on his step, they looked at him warily, but Jorgun wanted to vent after almost getting captured, so he picked up his Ax, did a wide swing that hit most of them, resulting in a long gash across their furry chests.

These furry men were even easier than the goblins, maybe it was the new skills he got, but he dodged there swipes with ease, making it a one-sided massacre.

After absorbing their bodies, Jorgun sat down on a ridge nearby, taking in the icy scenery, it looked so much like his homeland.

'hmm, these past days have been weird, I've never heard of creatures like this, even the Viking traders who traveled to east never talked or never seen such monsters.'

'But I've kind of missed my fellow Vikings, we would have pillaged, and look at me now, almost being captured by some weird fire-throwing garbage, even those armored man was faster than possible, perhaps they can also gain strength like me.'

Jorgun never thought too deeply in his life before, it was always pillaging, raping and pillaging, drinking mead, riding dragons and so on, he was always in perpetual motion never stopping to think.

'Maybe its the intelligence, ah anyway, I should find somewhere to camp, or some settlement, this woodcutters ax isn't suited for combat.'

Jorgun got up and started walking the mountains, he encountered goblins, the fur men called Kobolds, he absorbed them all.

The mountains hight only got taller and wider, he even saw some mountains piercing the clouds, and even once he saw a giant scaly lizard that could fly, he looked at it with fascination, it looked majestic and grand, a powerfull beast beyond compare.

He stopped near a cave when he entered, he spotted some marks of pickaxes on the walls, he walked deeper and deeper, they were some wooden pillars, on the side and two iron beams with wood plank boards underneath, it seemed abandoned since the torches were unlit.

Jorgun reached a massive room, there was a red-colored carpet, it was old, the red was faded, dust was piling up. At the end of the room, a throne rested eerily, a midget skeleton sleeping to the tunes of deaths, silence pervaded the room, like the room was from the most ancient times.

Jorgun stepped up towards the throne, he touched the skeleton, only for it to collapse to bone dust only the skull remained, Jorgun cleaned it with a rag, revealing pristine ivory.

"What a beautiful skull, it would be worth to hang it on my belt, nothing more fun than terrifying your enemy by using a skull, haha." Jorgun laughed, the laughter resulted in dust floating off the throne, to reveal a wooden stick, Jorgun would have ignored if not for little sparks of lighting flying off it.

'Is this Mjolnir's handle? How come it's giving off tiny rods of lightning, might as well take it since no one wants it.'

He camped outside the room, too much dust for his poor lungs, anyway, he discovered other weird things about the tunnels, the ceiling was lower than it was supposed to be, and they were pickaxe's on the ground, but their handles were uncomfortable for use, too small space for the fingers.

Jorgun dismissed those weird details, so he did his daily check up on the scroll.

He slept on the fur of the yeti he killed on his first day, it was second only to the wolf pelt he found in the village, but since he left those in the village, he had to get due.

The night passed peacefully, but as soon as he woke up, he got startled by a spider trying to enter his wide-open mouth, he flicked it off, but now that he looked around, he spotted hundreds of the little arachnids look at him where their eyes, Jorgun kept looking, and the spider kept looking, they gazed each other for a couple of minutes before the arachnids horde retreated to the cracks in the walls.

Jorgun gulped, he felt intelligence in those arachnids, his instinct warned him, so he stayed still since they surround him for all sides, although these little arthropods are very weak by themselves, but if hundreds swarmed him at the same time, he would surely fall after they bit his skin off.

Jorgun was confused, the throne chamber, the weird tunnel, and again with the arachnids who had intelligence, horned rabbits, goblins, kobolds and yeti's only in legends would these creatures appear, the more he travels deeper into these mountains he would bet his arms that things wouldn't stop getting more mysterious, they would get even weirder, maybe he could even find elves and giant planet-eating snakes.

Jorgun got up to his feet, should he go deeper to the mysterious or stop here, he looked at those mighty mountains in the horizons, he looked at his weapon, the reflection of his eyes was clear, in them was a blazing fire, blue and ferocious.

"Elves, hmm, I wonder how would they feel like when I fuck them." Jorgun nodded, then kept walking deeper into the adventure.
