1 Prologue

"Stop, please stop."

Yumeko, who was already losing hope, burst into tears and cried, "What do you want me to do? Please stop; I'm begging you."

Yumeko is sobbing as she begs Selena to stop.

When Selena heard this, she felt irritated and went in front of Yumeko.

"Look at you, a succubus who has to resort to crying and begging. You're a pathetic piece of crap. You're a disgrace to our clan," Selena snarled, treading on Yumeko's face.

Selena then tossed an object in the air that resembled a plant seed above Jon Bane and company.

After a few seconds, the seed unleashed a swarm of thorny vines on the location where Jon Bane and crew are trapped.

It strikes them in various places of their bodies. They are all bloodied and appeared to be lifeless.

Yumeko is in a state of shock as she watches as all of her friends get trampled by the torrent of prickly vines. A steady gaze with no emotion can be seen on her face; no crying, no smiles, no grins, nothing... just a constant, continual gaze.

Yumeko's eyes turned bright red, and her body began to steam. Her body began to heat up, and Selena felt it. She decided to take a step back from Yumeko.

Yumeko's wings turned completely red, her horns, fangs, and claws grew larger, her eyes took on a gory red tint, and her tail took on a scorpion-like shape.

She also regained her strength. She wasted no time and assaulted Selena right away. She also managed to hit Selena for the first time. It was not a lethal hit but it did cause Selena to be thrown back a few meters.

She kept attacking Selena but Selena didn't back down. They continued fighting as they went back and forth. At this point, it seems like they have equal strength and power. Their battle can go either way.

"So this is her semideus form, but this is not the form that will defeat me; I still have an advantage due to my battle experience," Selena mumbled to herself.

Yumeko and Selena are both in semideus form right now. Yumeko is stronger than her, but she attacks without thinking because she only wanted to hurt Selena. Selena reads her actions so easily because she attacks so recklessly. She was able to hit Selena on occasion, but Selena always had the upper hand since every time Yumeko hit her, she countered with a more powerful attack.

Yumeko's thoughts are currently racing with the phrases, "I need to kill her, I need to kill her."

She can still smell the blood coursing through Jon Bane's veins. The same goes for the others.

She can still heard their hearts beating inside their bodies. Getting her to believe that everyone is still alive. She only needs to kill Selena and then help her friends after. She must act quickly because they are already losing a lot of blood from their wounds.

As the struggle proceeds, Selena maintained her lead. But every time she manages to land an assault and injure Yumeko, Yumeko returns.

"This brat! She's getting stronger and stronger as time goes by!" Selena said before headbutting Yumeko on the chest and dropping her to the ground.

Yumeko, on the other hand, is still able to get up. Selena gathered some of the nearby vines into her hands. It was transformed into a whip.

As Yumeko struggled to stand, she began beating her. Yumeko is taking all of the whip's blows.

With all of the suffering she was experiencing, her pain meter finally filled up. She took a deep breath and released a sonic wave from her mouth. Hitting Selena and rendering her unconscious. The vines that wrapped Jon Bane and others were likewise released.

"So this is... the power....of... Akasha, the queen of pain, argggh," Selena whispered to herself as she fell to the ground.

Yumeko instantly checked on Jon Bane and the others when she noticed Selena was unconscious. They are all alive and well.

"Yume...ko, ge... get.. the.. bottle of mung.. munggo.. beans.. on.. my pouch," Giovan said as he passed out.

Yumeko heard this and took the bottle from Giovan's pouch. The only problem is that there is only one bean left inside, so she can only use it on one person.

Yumeko was still undecided when Jon Bane regained consciousness and spotted her holding the bottle of munggo beans.

He then stood up and suggested, "Rona should take the last bean, and then let her heal all of us after."

Yumeko nodded and placed the last bean in Rona's mouth. Rona regained consciousness after a few seconds and her wounds and bruises were healed. Her physical condition is quickly restored to its natural state. Her tiredness dissipates, and her stamina and ki reserves are replenished.

"Yumeko, than..." Rona is ready to thank Yumeko, but Yumeko interrupts her.

"Rona, please heal all of them," she interrupted.

"I can't heal them all at once; I can only do it one at a time," Rona explained.

"Heal me last; Hannah should be the first; she appears to be in critical condition," Jon Bane said.

Rona nodded and began to heal Hannah. While she's at it, Selena, who was rendered unconscious a few moments ago, suddenly got up with a sarcastic smile and said, "You think you're the only one capable of healing? I can do it too."

All of the vines in the area went to Selena, and it appears that they are healing all of her wounds.

Yumeko went in front of Jon Bane and others to guard them from any strikes that Selena might throw.

Selena started attacking her by throwing spears like vines.

Yumeko is unable to dodge Selena's spear-like vine attacks since Jon Bane and others are at her back. She simply blocked everything with her claws and wings.

She then threw a vine-like rope that wrapped around Yumeko's waist. She drew Yumeko close and whispered something into her ear.

Yumeko's eyes widened, and she exuded a golden aura. An enormous power emitted from her body, causing her to unwrap and shove Selena a few meters away from her.

Yumeko yelled as her appearance changed, "I'm going to kill you...."

Her wings, teeth, and claws turned gold. She then seized her scorpion-like tail and transformed it into a weapon, especially a sword. She charged for a split second and slashed once. It generates a force that instantly rips Selena in half.

Yumeko is furious and about to launch another slash attack when Jon Bane yells, "Yumeko, that's enough; she's dead!"

While gripping his blade, Jon Bane approached Selena's dead body. A white orb appeared and was absorbed by the blade.

When Akasha, the succubus queen, saw a dead succubus body next to a person wielding a familiar blade, she remembered something. She remembered a guy with the same blade annihilating her entire clan in the past.

Yumeko launched an attack on Jon Bane at this point, yelling angrily, "It's time for my revenge!"

Jon Bane was able to defend himself by blocking the attack with his weapon.

"It's me, Yumeko; why are you attacking me?" Jon Bane is perplexed.

Because Jon Bane is still weak, Akasha appears to be overcoming him, forcing him to kneel while she presses her sword on his blade.

"Akasha's memory is in control right now; all she knows is that you killed her entire clan," the voice inside told Jon Bane.

"Switch to me," said the inner voice to Jon Bane.

Jon Bane simply nodded, and a dark aura emanated from his body after a few seconds.

A rush of power is unleashed from Jon Bane's body, causing Akasha to move back a few meters.

Jon Bane's appearance has changed, and he now resembles an angel with black wings. He appears to be a new entity.

They both dashed towards each other, ready to attack. Then, out of nowhere, a mystery entity with a glowing body came between them, blocking both of their attacks with his staff.

Giovan became aware at this point and mumbled, "That glowing staff, those fancy clothes. Is that it?"

"The enlightened one, Siddhartha."
