1 I Survived

_It is very peaceful in the middle of the sea. It has been years before I finally got a break like this where I am alone and can do anything I want. No nagging wife telling me what to do and how to do it. No kids asking for money just to buy stuff or go somewhere just to party. No mistress to.. oops. Well you can never enjoy life without some kind of naughty things to pump your life once in a while._

_Back in the day when I started training for the military, I never imagine that I would be a successful soldier after I finished it. I follow orders to the very best of my ability but I always see to it that I will never be a person who will do everything just just to gain favors to my superiors. A man's pride can't do that._

Julian started reminiscing about his early military days as if he was telling a story in his mind. He is a forty-five year man but his features really resemble a handsome middle age Leonardo DiCaprio but with white hair. He and his family of five was now staying at a hotel, slowly celebrating the two-week vacation before his son finally enters college.

He just escaped his wife this morning just to try fishing again which he first experienced when some of his brothers from the army invited him years ago. Now he was sitting on a boat he borrowed from a friend near the hotel.

_I probably should have let my family join me here. Nah, my sons will probably annoy me to death with them persuading me to buy a brand new iPhone again. Hmm, kids these days, can't they just take a f*cking walk in the park or something._

Julian started stretching and finally picked up his fishing rod and carefully putting the bait. He casted it in the water and waited for the fish to finally bite in. The entire day he sat down and caught ten medium size fishes. It was four in the noon when he finally decided to go back to the hotel.

All of a sudden, the sky turned terrifyingly dark as if it was desperately trying to block the sun. Then the sky exploded and started falling to the ground. Julian turned his attention to where his family is staying and analyzed that he can't make it to reach land.

_So this is where I'm going to die. I really hope my family survives this. As for me, there is zero percent chance of getting out of here alive, not with this trying to kill me.

He was staring at a huge piece of the sky headed his way with a smile. He never thought that he will die on a vacation and not in the middle of a gunfight somewhere. It finally hit the target and dragged him down in the bottom of the ocean. Julian was freaking out because even though the debris was on top of him, he can actually breath. Although the debris was not crushing him to death, he was uncertain on how much time it will stay like that, so he tried to lift it. It felt like clay when he touched it and as if protecting itself, emitted lightning which left him knocked out. He laid there unconscious and still the debris pinned him down.

Julian finally woke up floating in the sea wearing nothing. He seems to be close to land right now as he observed his surrounding looking for help. He slowly swimmed to shore and laid there gasping for air.

_I'm so hungry. Shit, how long was I out? It seems the world was ending but everything is okay as far as I can see. Where am I? I need to go back and check if my family is safe._

He slowly got up but he froze as soon as he saw his feet. He tried touching his body in panic and he was dumbfounded to realize that his body resembled a teenager's. He observed his reflection on water and finally concluded that he was still on his own body but just turned younger and not on another teenager's body like those in fantasy films that his second son is watching. He was relieved for a second but he was in distress again on how should he explain it to his family after finding them. He left his thoughts in a corner of his mind and decided to face the problem after he was assured of his family's safety. Now his biggest problem now is finding clothes before going to town or something. It would be hysterical if some kid recorded it and post it in the internet, not that he was ashamed of his body. He looked around and saw smoke rising from the forest. After much deliberation, he finally decided to go where the smoke is and asked for help to the people there.
