27 B23 and Onaka

Hey, it would be awesome if you guys could leave some more reviews. I am not demanding or anything, just saying that it would be cool. Motivation to keep writing is hard to come by for me and a few more reviews would be helpful. I just want enough to give the book a rating, even if its a bad one, its better then none at all. That's all, continue to the chapter.

------------------------------------

Liam and B23 sat in a small room next to the main temple. It had a desk, a long table that B23 was laying on, and a lot of books. Liam was currently trying to figure out what the parasyte that B23 ate was, but he was having little success.

"B23, try eating something, maybe that will make it do something." Liam ordered as he took out a steak made of the meat of a human that he had killed after unpetrify them.

B23 nods and eats the meat without a second thought. He didn't know what kind of parasyte it was that had taken over his stomach, but he wanted to find out. He wasn't worried about it either because he knew his lord would kill it if it tried anything, and if he was to late, Liam could just resurrect him again.

After eating the meat, B23 felt a weirdly powerful urge move through him as he hungered for more. He was able to resist it however and could clearly feel that the parasyte didn't like that. He found that the longer he resisted the hunger, the stronger the urges became and the less willful he became. Its similar to what happened to Shinichi after fusing his DNA with Migi after the fight with his mom, but with an extra craving to eat.

This was because the parasyte was in his stomach and had full control over his digestive system and the muscles around it. It was sending signals to the brain saying that it was starving, and the brain was loosing its ability to ignore it. Liam was able to notice this by the changing expressions and body language that kept happening all over B23's body.

"Lord Liam, I cant control this! I need more food!" B23 said as he gave into the urges that the parasyte was forcing on him.

"No! You need to control the hunger! Don't let that thing control you or I will have to kill it and we wont be able to figure out what it is!" Liam snapped back, trying to motivate his servant to hold on.

"Yes lord! I will keep trying, but it keeps increasing my hunger. I feel like I've been starving for years. What is it doing?"

"It wants to eat, but before we allow it to I need to see how it reacts to starvation." Liam said, Ignoring the reaction it is currently having to starvation.

After a few more seconds B23 starts to lose consciousness and nearly passes out. His stomach started to move and warp in unnatural ways, moments later a seem appeared down the middle from his chest to his crotch and opened quickly, revealing a mouth with hundreds of teeth. It started to open and close in random directions for a while before it froze and started to warp more. This time two blobs appeared on either side of the mouth, lining up with his nipples.

The blobs moved for a second and started to grow upward and extend into cords as it developed eyes on the top, it looked like Gary's eyes in SpongeBob. The eyes then opened fully to reveal human like bloodshot yellow eyes. It started to look around furiously as B23 starred at the thing that just grew out of his stomach in horror.

"W-w-what is that?! How did the worm do that to my stomach? Get it out!" B23 lost his mind after seeing it. Wouldn't you? weather you were living or dead, wouldn't you freak out if a huge mouth just appeared out of your stomach and eyes grew out of your ribs? I don't think anyone would keep a calm mind, the only reason Shinichi does is because of plot armor.

"Its okay, calm down! I can remove it, but I need to experiment a bit before I do. It might die the second it leaves you, it does seem like some sort of parasite after all." He then started to freeze the creature again, but this time only in the areas that would keep it from moving more.

After it was immobile, Liam started to experiment. He punched it a few times and found that it could harden its skin into something similar to steel. When he tried to pull it apart, it turned itself into a slimy flesh like substance so he wasn't able to do anything to it then.

B23 would have been freaking out from the pain, but Liam temporarily severed his nerves to his stomach, so anything below his heart and lungs were nub to him, however he was still able to see all the things that it was doing and the ways it was changing his stomach around like it was play doh.

After a few more tests, Liam was able to conclude one of the creatures abilities, Genetic manipulation (That's what I'm calling, not sure if it has a canon name). This allowed it to completely change the structure of the DNA and genes within it to match a different organism. However, it wouldn't change as quickly as it did if that were the case. The cell needs time to translate and transcribe the instructions needed to create proteins and help the cell grow, so there is no way that genetic manipulation is its only ability.

He thinks that it either has the ability to hasten the process of the translation and transcription of DNA after altering it, or it has the ability to directly manipulate its cells without the need to wait on the nucleus. To Liam, the first one seems more likely as it is more scientific, however he hasn't thrown the second one out the window, even if it most likely requires something akin to a soul.

This is because he is currently a vampire with an army of zombies and he had fought a man with the ability to walk on water and break the sound barrier with his body, so he didn't think souls were to crazy.

He finished with a final experiment.

"Parasyte thing, can you talk?" Liam asked the mass of angry teeth and flesh with eyes.

"T-ta-tak… Talk? The mouth said slowly as it looked at Liam with both an angry and curious gaze.

Liam's eyes widened as he wasn't expecting it to actually be able to speak. However he noticed that it seemed to only be mimicking his words instead of talking.

"Yes can you speak to me?" Liam tried again, seeing if it could figure out what he was saying.

"Yes can you speak to me?" The parasyte mimicked in a thoughtful voice.

"Speak!" Liam said slowly as he pointed at his mouth.

"Speak." The parasyte replied, this time with a little more understanding. It seemed to learn very fast.

"So you can talk, good. Here (he handed the stomach a huge piece of meat), eat this and sit in here with B23. B23, try to teach this thing to talk, I will be back later, I have something to attend to." Liam then turned and walked out of the room.

B23 sat there on the bed starring at his now talking stomach. He didn't know what to do as the parasytes eyes slowly turned around and stared back at him. He just smiled awkwardly and waved at it, not sure what else he could do.

"So, ah... what is your name?" He asked stupidly.

"Name?" His stomach said back.

"Y-yeah, you know, wait, no you don't, neverminded that. A name is a way of telling who you are."

"Telling who you are?" His stomach half mimicked, half asked.

"Yeah, a way to show who you are in comparison to others." He then thought for a minute, "How about I call you Onaka?" B23 asked it.

The parasyte seemed to understand and nodded by waving its eyes up and down, and saying "Yes."

'Maybe this wont be so bad, I might get along well with it' B23 thought as he continued to converse with his stomach.

-----------------------------

Meanwhile, Liam was back in front of the pillar man, with an expression of enlightenment. He didn't know where it came from, it was more of a sudden thought. It wasn't even related to the parasyte.

'Why didn't I think of this earlier, its genius! What is that hamon that the old man used. It seemed to be some sort of manifestation of his life force. If that's the case, then why did I all of the sudden get so injured by that kid? The answer is simple, I'm its opposite, its shadow! That hamon stuff seemed to simply be some sort of life force that mimicked the energy of the sun. So while hamon is made of light and life energy, I am made of shadow and death. It makes perfect sense!' Liam began to think in a very nonsensical way.

'A shadow is simply an area without light. Death is simply something without life. When light touches a shadow, it disappears. When life is brought to something, death disappears. I am the physical manifestation of death and light. Whenever one of them touches me, I begin to disappear. So, this means that I am the void right? The void is the base of all things, and matter, light, life and everything else is simply something that fills it. When those things are taken away, the void returns. I am the embodiment of the void, I am pure without being tainted by life or light.'

"HAHAHAHAHHAHA, If I can harness this power of mine, I will be able to reach true godhood. I just need to learn how to use this gift." Liam said as he turned around and stared at the pillarman that was surrounded by stone masks.

"And I have a weird feeling that you can help me achieve it." He said as he got to work.

I will start releasing more chapters if this can reach a power stone goal. Its not much right now, just 50. The highest it has reached as of now was about 41 so I think it is possible, help out a bit if you have the stones alright. Thanks for reading.
