14 Chapter Fourteen

Two years since Roxy left.

Gray was sitting on a roof, his new favorite spot, and they had a few... new additions to the family.

Lillia was now his stepmother, Aisha, the little bundle of sunshine, was his half sister and Norn, the most adorable little munchkin was his sister.

The amount of bruises Paul had to heal from after that little stunt was by no means little, but they worked it out... He just lost every drop of respect he held for the man for a little while... a year and a half.

On the bright side, Rudeus was now going outside... So, that was a plus, right?

Honestly, if it wasn't for the brat, the family might have just fallen apart, with him being able to do nothing about it. Even though it has been so long after that fact, he still felt angry at himself. Rudeus fixed everything, while he could only stand to the side, clutching his sword in hand and wait for the outcome.

"What great older brother I am."

Chuckling self depreciatively, he leaned back, looking at the clouds as they passed, drifting along without a care.

Though, since their family grew, he and Rudeus had to build a new house in the back yard with their magic, and both of them lived there now. Sometimes Zenith would come and cuddle one of them or sometimes both of them at night, nothing much has changed.

Lilia was still persistent on acting like a maid, though she and Rudeus got a lot closer since he saved her and her child from dying, Zenith eventually accepted Paul and Lilia, Rudeus was still hanging out with Sylphiette and he was still getting stronger to protect his family.

On his brothers fifth birthday, Gray got him the equivalent of a notebook, inside was instructions on Touki and some subspecies of magic, like ice, vaper, lightning, and even metal.

Now he was eleven, and he had managed to reach advanced rank in Sword god while still being intermediate in other two, what more could he want?

"Gray! Can you help me take care of Norn until Zenith returns?"

Some peace and quiet would be nice.

Sighing and jumping off the roof of his new house, he walked towards his father, who was holding a crying Norn.

With a bit of wind magic, he picked Norn up, who stopped crying due to the sudden and unexpected movement and started laughing.

Sending a smug smirk at Paul, Gray proceeded to make small figures of water, shaping them to resemble a human shape.

Paul actually pouted at the sight, ever since he first "beat" the older man, he has been salty every time he used magic. Childish.

Norn reached out, touching one of the figures and backed off immediately when she felt the wetness on her small fingers.

"uahhh."

Chuckling slightly at the sight, he made the figures move around as he sat down on the ground with Norn in his lap. She would grow up to be a beauty, with her blonde hair inherited from her mother along with her green eyes, anyone would fall for her beauty sooner or later.

If anyone broke her heart, their head would roll, if some noble took fancy to her, their household would perish and god forbid if a prince wanted her and tried something...

The maps would have to be redrawn.

"Uuuuw, wuaaaa."

DAWWWW.

"Whose a little bundle of cuteness?! You are! Yes you are!"

He started tickling her and Norn just started wiggling around, trying to escape her attacker, letting out adorable sounds as she did so.

Seriously, he would do anything for this little child.

She just had to say the word.

"Uwahaha."

More tickles it is!

___

Gray was inside his house, watching Rudeus and Silphie, the nickname Rudi gave her, as he held onto Aisha who was sleeping on his chest. The chair was build so that he could lean back and let his sister lean on him for support, so he could enjoy all the cuddles he could get.

It was simply the best.

"Ah, Gray, can you look after Norn? I need to go to the village for some supplies."

Sending a glance towards his mother, he raised an eyebrow.

What was he, a babysitter? she should learn to manage her time more, she's a mother of three and they had four children, its not good to n-

"You don't have to ask."

He was such a pushover.

Zenith walked up silently, almost squealing seeing how Aisha was cuddled up with her eldest son, and placed Norn on his other side, when he shifted his half sister to the side.

Ah, this was bliss.

Waving at Zenith as she left with a smile on her face, he continued to watch over his brother and the equivalent of his adopted sister as they sent him amused looks and went back to studying.

He should go hunting sometime soon, since they were technically living away from their parents, they needed a source of income, or at least some food on the table.

Aisha shifted and he adjusted his hold on her to keep her comfortable, the stopped fidgeting and let out a content sigh, her Maroon hair she got from her mother shifting to the side, revealing her closed eyes.

Was he developing a younger sibling complex?

... Nah! That was absurd.
