5 Enrolment

Sung Jin-woo has indeed become a player, but this time instead of it being in the virtual world, things like character statistics, inventory and missions became very much real. He get to know about the importance of completing each task instantly, because the moment he decided to neglect it… even though he had to get some rest still, "System" would teleport him elsewhere… and punishment would begin.

First time he barely managed to survive… Once again, Jin-woo had to look into death's eyes and try to run as long as possible. For hours, in what seemed like to be the desert domain, he endured the scorching heat and was running away from curses that resembled warms. But after completing even this punishment, Jin-woo for the first time, received the gift from the System.

The gift came in three choices which Jin-woo had to make, it was either 3 stat points which he could invest into his statistics window. There were also Status Regeneration and Mystery Boxes, which he decided not to pick.

'Did I make a binding vow by becoming a player? Should I tell Gojo Satoru about this?' From the outside perspective it would look stupid to reveal such a thing to anybody else, but inside, Jin-woo was seriously concerned about the origin of the system and where it comes from. 'This is definitely not a dream... so I can only observe for now.'

Tired from all the running, Jin-woo fell in his ward exhausted and sleepy. He had so much more to do, but for tomorrow he wanted to visit his sister.

Waking up from slumber wasn't peaceful, Jin-woo was forced to wake up as the white haired sorcerer had introduced him to the principal of the Jujutsu High. His school clothes weren't made yet, he had to use the ones provided to him by Gojo, old ones were in bad condition. With the oversized t-shirt and jeans, Jin-woo followed Gojo outside of the ward. Not without thanking Shoko Ieri first.

The school was large. They had to do some walking, and it wasn't even a full facility. The entire land that the school occupied was under a barrier and it spanned across tons of cubic kilometers. How did the school of such size operate while being unnoticed? The barriers concealed everything, you could only find it if you were there once or followed someone who knew about it.

The main building meanwhile where the principal resided, looked like a shrine. Jin-woo was a bit creeped out by the atmosphere and they haven't seen anybody else so far either. Just him and Gojo at this point…

"Alright, I must warn you, the old man is a bit stern." Gojo mentioned before they entered the site. Instantly they were met with a rough gaze of Principal Yaga.

The principal was angry, "You are late again, Satoru." He stood up from his seated position. Jin-woo couldn't help, but mark something out of the ordinary. The principal was sewing dolls. Masamichi Yaga looked like a gangster, so it was weird that he was sewing dolls.

"I was just showing school to our potential student…" Satoru muttered as he smiled at Jin-woo. What did he mean in 'potential student?' Most likely the fact that he was not yet enrolled? "Also, he doesn't know Japanese yet…"

"I'm aware of that." Masamichi wasn't even looking at Gojo anymore, he shifted his attention onto Jin-woo. "You ran into a building with a special grade threat knowing well that you couldn't do anything to help other sorcerers. Why?" He asked whilst looking for a concrete and satisfying answer from Jin-woo.

Meanwhile the teenager was surprised by the fluent English that was spoken by the principal, but he had to shrug it off for the occasion. "I judged it the right thing to do, I've notified the association before going in."

"Yet, this would have costed you and the sorcerers' lives. You could've distracted them or created additional hassle…"

Jin-woo nodded, "But it was my responsibility to prevent further deaths as well, it already claimed lives of innocent children in my city, I couldn't allow for any more."

"Deaths can't be prevented, they are unavoidable and more will eventually follow." He said sternly, with no hint of hesitation.

Jin-woo shook his head, "I disagree, it is avoidable. The same way I was doing for the past few years while working for an association. I've been on the brink of death more than any. Always on the border of life and death… It can be avoided if you have a strong enough desire." He said it with undeterred resolve under the gaze of both Gojo and Masamichi

Seeing the determined dark eyes that reflected Jin-woo's past experiences, Masamichi could easily grasp the nature of the teenager's character. He was not strong, at the moment… but he had the little bit of craziness and belief that is necessary to be the sorcerer. His eyes were telling Yaga that Jin-woo wouldn't accept the death of others nor himself…

"Welcome to the Jujutsu High… Satoru, show him his dorm."

…

The Jujutsu High has been uncompromised for a long time despite it being in an open barrier. It looked like a shrine, with some modern components inside of the buildings. At the heart of this facility deep underground resides Master Tengen by the words of Gojo, and he was the one that kept Jujutsu High hidden for hundreds of years.

Every student in Jujutsu High received a dorm, spacious room with all the necessities. School also provided them with uniforms, meals and all the other things… There was even a salary, but that depended on the grade of the sorcerer. Jin-woo just like that was only a Grade 4 sorcerer, his salary would've been minimal…that if he was in Japan, but due to him being only sorcerer in South Korea where sorcerers were "rarity", he received quite a chunk of money.

"So, you essentially arrived here before everyone else… The Jujutsu High School's semester hasn't begun yet and the new first years are yet to arrive. So, while we have time I'll be teaching you some stuff."

"Am I allowed to leave school and visit my family? Since they are here in Tokyo."

Gojo nodded, "Of course. You can leave the school grounds wherever you want, but I hope you have money to move around."

"Thankfully, I have."

…

Gojo and Jin-woo left the school together, as really, the special grade sorcerer didn't have anything else to do. He happily accompanied Jin-woo on his shopping trip, as the teenager still had a broken mobile phone after the last incident. Also, it was kind of welcoming to Jujutsu High. Gojo treated the korean with some Japanese sweets.

They talked about his future classmates. Apparently just two at the moment, both gifted with innate cursed techniques. But one in which Gojo Satoru saw the potential to surpass even himself, and that spoke a lot about the person. Kinji Hakari, Japanese, same age as Jin-woo. Although a tough gambling addict.

"Are all the Jujutsu sorcerers like him? A bit crazy." Jin-woo had genuine question,

Gojo tilted his head, "Everyone has a little bit of crazy in them~, You are not an exception. Most Jujutsu Sorcerers would stop their careers and pursue something else. But here you are…" he smiled at the end.

"To be honest, I still feel like all of this is a dream. Spending this amount of money in a day… It's unbelievable. My mother's treatment was a hard thing to pay off, but I got a new opportunity. It's unreal really, maybe, if I was a bit more sane I'd act differently."

"Well, things will only heat up from now on. I already thought of your training regime before the school semester begins. I want you to be able to stand with your classmates, so I can teach all of your together."

"I understand, I won't disappoint." Jin-woo's resolve was respectable, Gojo Satoru really believed him. Young minds were always different compared to those of the Jujutsu Higher Ups…so, Gojo wanted to raise this generation of sorcerers himself so he could change everything.

'If we really fill that space, your potential is enormous…' He was already imagining the future of Jujutsu Society while looking at an endless pit of darkness in Jin-woo, as only a little bit of cursed energy flowed in it. 'My eyes… if not for them, these higher ups would only look over you and leave.'

Jujutsu Society needed to change and Gojo took it upon his shoulders to do so.

…

Jin-woo visited his sister in a prepaid hotel which was paid by none other than Gojo Satoru, who was by now adored by younger sister of Jin-woo, due to being handsome and rich.

"But seriously, why would you waste your money like that?" The Korean teenager was mugged by the question.

"I couldn't let myself leave a young girl like her in some other places could I?"

"Right!" Jin-woo's sister was, of course, in agreement. In her view, she should've been treated as a queen by everybody. But poor her, her brother wasn't so rich to spoil her like Gojo did. "Matter of fact brother, you treat me very badly!" Fake tears rolled down from her eyes.

"Jin-ah, have you begun your studies?"

"What do you mean by my studies?"

"You will enroll in a Korean school here in Japan."

"No!"

…

Together they also had time to visit the ill mother of Jin-woo, who was still under the curse. Apparently, quite a lot of people were suffering from the same curse. Gojo had no idea what the curse was, but it couldn't be easily curable since Jujutsu society has absolutely no clue about its origin.

Many families suffered from such losses, even the kid that was raised by Gojo since early childhood, Megumi Fushiguro… Maybe he should introduce them to each other? 'Sounds like a good idea, since I'll be training them before the semester starts.'

Meanwhile, Jin-woo was deeply saddened by looking at her mother's face. It lost its color, almost as if life was draining away from her. But things that remained untouched was the hair, the color of which they shared.

'Mom… I'll find the cure, I promise…'

Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College

Back in the Jujutsu High, Gojo left Sung Jin-woo to organize his room. No training, no learning, the white-haired sorcerer just left the Korean to rest. But there was no rest for him, there was still the daily task to accomplish. He had to do a 10 kilometer run, 100 sit-ups, 100 pushups, 100 squats. With his…barely trained body, it is extremely tough…

Although, his determination was not shaken by the sheer amount of tiring training, actually he was prepared more. He'd have to incorporate this training regime with Gojo's upcoming training as well…

The hellish few months awaited for Sung Jin-woo, but he couldn't wait for it…

'I'll use this chance for sure!'
