4 Kakyoin x Reader

"Bread, veggies, other shitty snacks, anything else we need as food stock for our next travelling session?" You asked, going over a list.

"Cherries." Kakyoin responded quickly.

You laughed, "Of course, how could I forget? You and your damn cherries."

You and Kakyoin were sent out to grab food for the trip tomorrow, which would probably end up lasting a day or two. The bunch trusted your intuition on food so off they sent you, but not without some protection of course, hence Kakyoin's presence here with you. You needed SOMEONE to cover you if there was a sudden enemy attack after all. The most your standless ass could do was run. At least you could somehow miraculously see them. Bonus points for you.

"I believe that this is all we'll need for our trip. Let's get outta here and drop this off back at the hotel for the day." You confirmed, making the purchase and shoving all the bags on one arm.

"_______, would you like me to carry some of those for you? I mean, shoving six bags on one arm, isn't that heavy and a little stressing?" He asked, watching your weight shift slightly to one side.

"Nah, I'm good. How else do you think I keep up my strength?" You reassured with a smile.

"Well, only if you insist." Kakyoin nodded, walking by your side back to the hotel, watching to make sure you didn't drop anything or hurt yourself.

The walk back was nice, friendly conversation and no random attacks from people. Today was turning out to be an excellent day so far, and spending the start of it with Kakyoin really made it perfect. You occasionally gave him a warms smile during conversation, him returning it every time without fail genuinely. You two always hung out like this. You were like the perfect pair according to the others.

Soon, the hotel you were staying at came into view, its tall roof reaching high over the average home here, going up a total seven floors high. You immediately began to pick up your pace and quickly walk into the building, Kakyoin speeding up with you as you dumped the six bags on a small empty cart in the lobby, almost falling over from the sudden weight change. Kakyoin quickly stabilized you though, and took a glance at the arm that was holding the bags.

"I told you that you shouldn't have carried all those at once on one arm." He pointed out, gesturing to the red indents in your arms from the stress of the bags. He took your hand and ran his fingers over your forearm where the handles of the bags were, hitting each groove with a feeling that could only be described as a fleshy washboard.

"Ah, come on that's nothing. It goes away eventually!" You insisted, brushing off the dull pain that the release from that pressure gave you. You didn't pull your arms away, and instead waited until he was reassured that you were fine and he let go of your hand with a nod. Once that was done, you then used your opposite arm and waved down one of the staff members, calling them over to you. "Hi! I was wondering if you could find someone to take this cart of stuff up to room 707 on the top floor please."

The person nodded and scurried off to find someone to take the cart for you as you left a tip on it for them.

"Hold on ______, why call someone to take the stuff back to our room?" Kakyoin questioned, tilting his head a bit curiously.

"Remember I said I was gonna drop the stuff off here? I mean, why take it up by ourselves and hang out with the guys when I could drop it off and go out instead! I wouldn't want to waste this beautiful day, so why not spend it with you?" You offered, following up with a smile.

Kakyoin stared at you with slight amazement before he chuckled slightly, a grin breaking out on his face. "I'd love that _______."

"Awesome! Then let's go!" You encouraged cheerily. Grabbing his hand and pulling him with you back out the main lobby doors.

He let out a sound of surprise as he was initially pulled, it turning into a sort of laugh as he began to match your pace and run alongside you to wherever your mind wanted to take you. This was something you did a lot with him, dragging him on unexpected adventures whenever you could. Just you and him nearly all the time, and you both showed great enthusiasm for it too. That was another reason Jotaro and the others called you two the perfect pair. Though, neither of you had admitted any feelings for one another, so the comments always made you blush. Admittedly, you were very fond of him, and he of you. Neither of you could ever figure out how, nor when to say anything, and when the moment came close, someone always fucked it up. But at least you took these frequent trips out with him, as you enjoyed him company more than anyone else's, and it brought you two closer together, and also gave you more chances to say something to him this time around whilst you were alone.

Once you had made it outside and pulled him into a sharp left turn, you let go of his hand and began to take a mad dash down the street, remembering that there was some sort of park nearby that you wanted to visit. Kakyoin had to break into a sprint to keep up with your eagerness, smiling slightly at how excited you seemed.

"Hurry up you slow poke! The day's wasting away!" You called, turning your head to look behind you. Strangely, he wasn't in sight, so you instinctively slowed down to a jog, still watching behind you for him.

"I'm not THAT slow." Kakyoin's voice chimed in from behind you suddenly.

You screamed slightly from surprise, whirling around to face him but tripping because of the initial movement you had going on before. In that split second you fell forward, it was right into Kakyoin, so he caught you easily as you fell directly into his chest, looking up at him.

"Whoops. Looks like I caught you falling for me~!" He joked, looking down at you with a teasing smile.

"S-shut up!" You stammered, blush invading your face for a brief moment as you averted your eyes and tried to quickly get up, tripping over yourself again and going down an inch or two in his grasp, still being held up.

He laughed at his and helped you up, smiling at you the whole time. Brushing yourself off, you quickly spun back around in the direction you were headed before, hiding your blush from view. "T-the park I seen before is close now. Just a few more blocks." You informed, clearing your throat to stabilize your voice. "I'll walk now, since it's so close." You added, composure returning to you as you revealed the destination.

"Whatever you say _______." He nodded, holding back more chuckles.

Proudly, you began to walk back in the direction you were going, pretending that you falling had never happened. That smooth line he said when catching you though really stuck in your mind, and kept a light blush consistent on your face no matter how hard you tried to get it away. That line wasn't a lie though… in the mental sense kind of, not the physical.

Occasionally, you would glance over your shoulder to see if he was still behind you, which he was, and every time you caught his eyes, you would quickly look back ahead of you with a hint of nervousness, earning a gentle smile from him each time. Eventually, he came up and walked beside you instead, causing you to look up at him properly this time.

"I find you always glancing at me over your shoulder, so I figured coming into your line of sight would ease you." He reassured. "Besides, I wouldn't want to scare you and cause you to fall again~"

"Oh you just- shut up!" You scolded, slapping his arm, and fixing your gaze ahead of you again, trying and failing to hide the small smile that crept its way onto your pink face, showing visible strain of trying to hide it.

"Trying to hide a smile from me?" He questioned, leaning in close to you with a raised brow.

"What? No! Of course not! What's there to smile at? I would never hide a smile from you." You insisted, trying to shake the urge to grin.

"The strain on your face says otherwise." He pointed out. "Do my comments male you happy when you hear them~?" He persisted, nudging his way closer to you as you walked.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about!" You assured yet again, the same strain on your face as you looked the opposite direction, continuing your pace as you began passing by the open area where the park was.

"You're bullshitting me. Come on and let that smile loose you dork!" He ordered, suddenly grabbing you from behind and pulling you into him tightly, restricting your movements to nearly nothing as you shrieked in surprise once again.

"O-OI! Kakyoin let me go!"

You would've had more to say, but the sudden sensation of fingers dancing along your sides halted you, turning and proper sentence structure into a stream of laughter. His arms crossed over you, he had you totally pinned to his body, and where his hands reached from there he used to relentlessly tickle your sides, trapping you with nowhere to go. You giggled and screamed at the sensation, trying to kick away and only ending up backing into him with it already impossible to move forward in his strong grasp. All you could do was struggle in an attempt to break free, and struggle you did. You tried so hard to escape him that he had to back up against one of the walls of a nearby building to support himself from your wildly kicking legs.

Just because he was enjoying this torment, he decided to briefly kick it up a notch and slip his fingers just under the rim of your pants and poke at your hips, causing you to absolutely scream with laughter as you twisted and turned your hips to escape his teasing fingers by any means possible. Sadly for you, it never happened, as you were firmly held in his death lock, taking the torment for another few moments while you laughed in response to it all until he finally released you from him, you stumbling forward and holding your sides and hips protectively. You were panting hard with red cheeks, and your clothing was a little offset from the tickling, some skin showing and giving you a sort of disheveled look, chest heaving with air as you turned around to face Kakyoin.

"You… You are an ass!" You informed in between heavy breaths. Kakyoin didn't respond immediately, and seemed almost dazed, his gaze fixated on your form. "Hello? Mr. Crazy attacker!

You repeated, stepping closer to him.

He blinked rapidly after the second call, pulling his gaze from your form that he found himself oh so attracted to so he could look into your eyes. "Hey, that's what you get for trying to hide a smile from me." He stated simply, giving you one of his own. "Besides, I got you to get that smile out with a cute laugh, didn't I?"

"God you're such a… such a…" You paused, trying to think of the right word.

"Such a what?" He provoked, waiting for an answer.

"Such a s-stupid dork!" You finished dumbly, fixing your shirt and pants with exaggerated motions. "But I guess… I-I guess that's what I like about you. Is that you always find a way to get me to smile. Frickin' loser." You mumbled.

Still picking up that last bit, even though it was a mumble, Kakyoin smiled upon hearing it. "So cute." He thought, happily amused by your response.

"B-but anyways. Here's that park I was talking about! Let's go!" You said quickly, changing the subject and slipping forward into the new scenery.

He had to snicker at this, as you were trying so hard to avoid the impending topic. He knew what was on your mind now though. In fact, he knew for quite a while now, but nothing was more fun that building it up and messing with you after all. Following after you now, you paused halfway into the scenery, giving the whole place a good look and taking in the view.

"Wow. This place is really pretty." Kakyoin commented.

The whole area consisted of clean open space a large fountain sitting at the center of the place. Around it were small patches of grass and flowers, a drinking spout found a couple meters from the fountain with the whole area housing a few children and their toys as they ran about playing. There was a natural basin of water behind the fountain in the ground, kids jumping in and out of it like a pool. Palm trees surrounded the perimeter of the entire area alongside some cacti, giving such a barren thought country a beautiful and natural look thanks to the Nile.

"Yep! I spotted it earlier today before I went out for food and thought it would be a fun place to just take a walk! With you of course. I mean, Polnareff would just be bitching about the amount of children here to irritate him." You pointed out, dragging the point of your foot across the hard sand a few times.

"Well then, shall we?" He gestured, looking along the slightly worn path that ran around the place before looking back at you.

"Y-yeah!" You nodded, waiting for his signal to go, even though you were the one with the idea to bring him here.

With that, the two of you began a casual walk around the park, finally making the same casual conversation you always did when you walked together. The usual comment making fun of one of the boys came up here and there as you enjoyed the nice change of scenery from underwater and rocky barren landscape that you frequently had to traverse. Groups of children playing tag and throwing a rubber ball around dashed by in front of you, invoking a silly thought.

"I wish Polnareff and Jotaro had that much enthusiasm when it comes to getting out of bed some days." You commented.

"Agreeable." He nodded with a scoff. "We have to drag them out of bed half the time."

"Maybe if we throw something at him and he'll chase it."

"Or he'll chase you for throwing something. Get a bodyguard before you do that." He suggested with a slight laugh.

"So you?" You asked, looking up at him with innocent eyes.

"I'll hold him off with Hierophant Green." He nodded in agreement.

"Yesssss." You hissed, considering the plot as something to follow through with.

You both resumed your walk as you made an innocent face in response to a head shake from him. The lot of you laughed at that before you made a full circle around the park finally, having seen everything now. You then turned your walking path towards the center of the park and curled in towards the fountain, pulling Kakyoin along to avoid the running kids until you reached the fountain's edge.

"I say we sit and take a break now, what do you think?" You suggested.

"Sounds like a good plan to me." Kakyoin nodded in agreement, sitting down on the edge of the fountain. You took your place next to him with a sigh of relief, your feet thanking you for the grace of taking the pressure off of them. Immediately as you did so though, the low growl of a rumbling stomach could be heard next to you, and you slowly turned towards the source, snickering.

"Looks like your stomach wants a break too." You pointed out, gesturing to him with your eyes.

"Whoops. I guess I should've had more of a lunch." He admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head."

Lucky for you, I've got you covered." You informed, pulling out a small bag of cherries from one of your pockets.

"You are literally my savior." He sighed, flashing you a thankful grin.

"I always am~!" You hummed, opening the bag and setting it between the two of you.

You both happily snacked on the bag of fresh cherries you brought, enjoying the scenery that was opened before you. From where you were, there was a nice view of the entire first half of the park as well as the street with merchant stalls lining the opposite side. You could feel the gentle spray of the fountain behind you, cooling your skin in the hot rays of the sun. You still couldn't fathom how Kakyoin wore his school uniform all the time. Just imagining how hot it would be to wear that all the time made you sweat, and you thought of how faint the spray was on the back of his neck to give any sort of cooling sensation at all. God it had to be boiling. But, you didn't question it anymore, because he always replied with the statement of he gets used to it. You shook your head at the thought, still wondering how he managed to do it.

Taking a reach for another cherry as you have been, before you could reach one, your hand came into contact with another, and you quickly looked up at Kakyoin who had also done the same with his vision.

Upon eye contact, the two of you began to blush slightly, but you quickly casted your vision downwards to see the single cherry left in the bag. As your distraction, and plot of victory, you used his slightly flustered state to seize the last cherry and jump up out of his reach with it.

"You let your guard down Kakyoin. Whatcha gonna do about this now~?" You taunted, waving the cherry by its stem in the air.

"Oh you did not." He growled with a playful smirk. "You do not steal the last cherry from me ever."

Immediately, Kakyoin leapt off the fountain and took on a stance to chase you down. You gave a brief look of 'oh shit' before taking off at top speed into the park, cherry in hand with a strong refusal to let him have it. In response he gave chase, kicking up a bit of sand as he went. You weaved in and out of children and adults alike to avoid getting caught by your cherry loving companion, leaping over benches as you glanced over your shoulder every moment or so to see how close he was, and each time you looked, he was closer and closer than the last. Feeling the possible capture, you sharply turned back towards the fountain and jumped up on the edge, turning around and facing him as you backed away when he too jumped up onto the edge after you, the cherry being cautiously held behind you as an effort to avoid his height and reach.

"How long do you suppose you can keep that from me _______?" He questioned, stalking closer and closer to you.

"Forever cause it's mine!" You quickly responded, breaking the stem off and popping the cherry in your mouth. You gave a victorious taunt as you held it between your teeth with your eyes closed.

Kakyoin was silent for a moment, and you kept going on with your little victory dance, the cherry never leaving your teeth yet. He then gave a quiet scoff, as if your supposed victory meant nothing.

"Nah." He said simply.

Without any further comment he reached out and grabbed your unsuspecting form by the waist swiftly and tilted his head, placing his lips to yours. That immediate moment, you froze and your eyes opened wide, a scarlet blush exploding across your cheeks. With your jaw slack in the moment, Kakyoin took the cherry from your teeth with his and then backed away from your face slowly until he was a few inches from your position.

"I told you, the last cherry is always mine`!" He hummed, quickly gulping down the said cherry.

You sputtered out strange sounds and bits of sentences in response, rendered nearly speechless as your face still flared crimson. "Y-you- just did- that?!" You sputtered.

"Yes, I did." He nodded with a smile. "If I was to describe it, I'd call it a perfect opportunity to lock lips with such a beautiful person. After all, you brought this on yourself~!"

His words didn't help the red on your cheeks go down, and made you look like a flustered fool. "I-I didn't mean to- a-and you just said w-what?!"

Kakyoin chuckled. "I'm saying the cherry as a perfect excuse to do that. I didn't need it to, but I couldn't think of a way to capture you in the moment _______."" He told you with the same genuine smile he always gave you. "Because, well, I've noticed your actions and reactions around me." He began, taking a step closer to you. "And you're really shitty at hiding how you feel. That's a good thing for me though so I can tell you I feel exactly the way you do, you dork." He finished, closing the space between the two f you with a warm hug.

You squeaked and became overwhelmed with embarrassment that he knew you were fond of him, and ended up burying your face in your hands and into his chest, as they were the nearest things to hide in. He chuckled at that and shifted you so he was able to see your face, pulling your hands away and pinning them between you and him.

"Was I that obvious?" You whispered, eyes shifting from one object to another in an attempt to remain cool.

"Very." He replied. "Everyone noticed your take on me actually, since you've only ever shown kindness and interest in me over the others. You try so hard to hide it, but you're so genuinely interested in me that it was pretty hard for your heart to do. I like that about you. It's why I've found myself falling for you more and more every day." He told you. "It's also why I enjoy teasing you a bit too. You're just too funny and cute not to." He added on sheepishly.

"You- Mmmm you… stupid, sweet, idiot…" You mumbled, your cheeks becoming a space heater almost as Kakyoin held your chin gently. "All this over a stupid cherry."

"But I have a feeling you didn't mind too much, did you~?" He hummed. "Was it a good moment to seize?"

You huffed and took a moment before finally looking into Kakyoin's blue eyes. "Y-yeah. It was." You admitted. "B-but, do I need another cherry to… do that again?" You asked nervously.

"Of course nor." Kakyoin replied. "You don't need a fruit for me to show you how much I love you."

Your heart skipped a beat at those words and you failed once again to find words to express yourself. Kakyoin gave you that same look he always did when you talked again, only this time you realized it was a loving one that only lovers would ever exchange with each other.

"You look so cute when you don't know what to say." Kakyoin smirked, wrapping both of his arms around your waist and pulling you close until your foreheads touched. "I'm so glad your silly actions lead to this today."

With that, Kakyoin leaned down and pressed his lips to yours once again, this time without a cherry in the way as he gently moved his surprisingly tender lips against your soft ones. Still not believing what was happening, your mind began racing until you finally focused on only him. Kakyoin loved you, and unearthed the feelings you tried so hard to hide, yet barely could with how much of your time in a day was spent with him. He did it in one of the most embarrassing ways possible, but it was completely worth it now. You slowly brought your arms up around his neck in response, a sense of nervousness still hanging over you as you did so, like you still couldn't believe this.

Kakyoin took note of that and began to kiss you with deeper passion, letting you know that this was reality and not a dream. The instant he did that, you locked your hands down around his neck with an internal sigh of relief as you willingly pulled into him, fully accepting and returning the kiss, all with the tall spray of the fountain framing sparkling droplets around you.

When the two of you released your passionate lock, you both gazed at each other the way you always did, only with a ton more intent this time.

:Y'know, thanks for kinda revealing my… admiration for you. With a damn cherry too." You remarked quietly. "I… I love you, Kakyoin."

Kakyoin laughed lightly and touched noses with you. "I love you too _______." He responded, holding you close in the gentle spray of the fountain.

Together, over a silly cherry.
