Chapter 8 – What Just Happened

(Jiraiya's POV)

Being rejected, I'm use to it. But it hasn't stopped me. At least this time I am able to walk away on my own.

I head back to my room and keep trying to meditate.

The next few days go by. On Friday after my last class I'm heading towards my room when a student rushing around the corner runs into me.

He falls to the ground and his Asauchi falls next to me. I reach down to pick it up, as soon as my hand touches it, I find myself in my inner world.

I look around and see the back of two spirits, dressed in Anbu gear. Suddenly I'm back in the hallway with the student running down it holding his Asauchi.

As walk the rest of the way back to my room, I'm reviewing what just happened.

The two Anbu, one had yellow hair and the other had red hair. They can't be who I think they are.

Over the weekend I kept trying to enter my inner world and a few times I was successful but I never saw the spirits even after searching every where.

Start of class on Monday I walked up to the teacher and asked him about my issue.

He look at me with a weird expression, then stated he was going to take me to see the Principle after class.

At the end of class we head to the Principle's office, once there the teacher had me explain what happened.

(Teacher Higuchi Nobuo's POV)

As I lead the troublemaker Jiraiya to the principle's office I can't help but think how does he have two spirits.

I know that there are only two shinigami who have them, Shunsui Kyoraku and Jushiro Ukitake.

We get to the door and I knock. After entering with Jiraiya I have him explain what happened

(Principle Kumagai Jun's POV)

Finally this student has been brought to my office.

I have been following his path for the last 5 years trying to see what Captain Kirio sees in this person, he has been mediocre compared to the whole school. While he has strong points, it is nothing exceptional. At least twice a week I hear about him either hitting on a female student or something else.

When teacher Higuchi asks Jiraiya to describe what happened on Friday, I focus on what he is about to say.

When Jiraiya starts describing what happened I stood up with a surprised look on my face.

How is this possible. How could he have this, he is not some rare genius like the other two who are about to become Captains.

I walk around my desk and start to inspect him closer. I can't see anything different about him.

I walk over to the closet and pull out a spare asauchi and throw it towards him.

(Jiraiya's POV)

As soon as I finish recounting what had happened the principle stood up and walked over towards me. She starts inspecting me like I am some sort of weird creature.

After a little while she walks over to a closet and gets an asauchi out, suddenly she throws it at me.

I catch it and was suddenly in my inner world looking at the back of my two spirits. I quickly move forward and get in front of them. One is wearing a white fox mask and the other is wearing a black fox mask.

They both look so similar to Minato and Kushina, but that can't be. The one with the black mask and red hair is holding a fan that looks similar to the Gunbai that Madara was stated to use. While the one with the white mask and yellow hair is holding a Kunai with three blades that looks just like the one Minato used.

As I'm looking at them the one that looks like Kushina starts to speak, but the voice isn't Kushina. It sounds like a mixture of her and Tsunade.

"You have finally arrive here correctly. We have been waiting but you are not yet ready to know our names yet. You first have to come to terms with your new life. We are you so we know that you want to go back but there is no way."

The other Anbu that looks like Minato walks forward, "You know this but you keep having regrets, but this is your new adventure. Only by realizing this and moving on will allow you to keep moving forward." he states in a voice that sounds like a mixture of Minato and Naruto.

Suddenly, I'm back in the office and both Teacher Higuchi and Principle Kumagai are staring at me.
