7 Well, That Just Happened

Ok, so, WHAT THE F#@* JUST HAPPENED!?! Josh shot a ball of white fire from his hand. And I thought Ms. Kreives' blue fireball was weird. I need some explanations. Now.

"Uuugnnh, what just happened," asked Will, who had fallen on the ground and hit his head while we had been running.

"My question exactly," I said, turning and glaring at Josh. Why hadn't he told us he could do that before, like, right after we had just talked about our powers!!

"All we need to know is that we are safe." said Dykota, rubbing his arm where there was still a burn mark, even with Josh's "healing fire".

"And how do you know that?" asked Brianan.

"The trees are telling me," he said looking up at the tops of the huge trees that surrounded us.

"That's great in all but can Josh explain what the hell he just did," I asked, still glaring at him.

"No." Josh seemed pale and faint and within seconds he fell to his knees and fell right asleep. All that happened today was crazy and a little weird.

"We better find a place to stay before he finds us again. That hotel didn't work so well," said Brianan, looking around nervously.

"I agree, we need to get out of here," said Will, standing up.

"Are you sure you're good for travel?" I asked him, "You hit your head pretty hard."

"Positive." He said with a determined look on his face.

"OK… but, how are we gonna move Josh? He's probably practically 'glued' to the ground by now." I looked over at his sleeping form.

"Dykota and I will scout around, see if we can find a safe spot, just for tonight." offered Brianan.

"Hey, why are you dragging me into scouting?" asked Dykota.

"Because, you're the one who can talk to the plants," she said, grabbing his arm. Then she dragged him in what seemed like a random direction. "North". I heard a dark, whispery voice say in my ear.

"What the?!?" I almost jumped out of my skin turning around to see who had said that, but the only thing I saw was Will and Maple looking at me like I was crazy or something. I was kinda scared. Will hadn't said that neither had Maple and Josh definitely didn't. I took a closer look and saw a vague, shadowy, figure standing, well, floating, a few feet away from the others.

"AHHHH" I screamed, jumping back.

"What, what is it?" asked Maple, looking around on high alert.

"Wait, are you telling me you don't see you don't see him!?" I asked, pointing at the figure.

"No, only you can see me". Said the shadowy figure, more in my mind rather than my ears

"Wait, someone is standing next to me!" exclaimed Maple, looking where I had pointed.

"Well, maybe? I can't tell if it's real or if I've just finally cracked under the pressure." I said, scratching my head.

"Let's hope that it's the second one," said Will, looking around nervously.

"No, I am very much real." Said the figure, floating closer "I am a Wraith, I was sent by another like you to bring all of you to the academy."

"What academy?" I asked, the others giving me suspiciously then questioning looks.

"Jinx Academy."
