3 Nightmares

I heard people screaming from all directions. I hated it. But it wouldn't stop. I was terrified. I had my hands holding the sides of my head when a face appeared out of the darkness that surrounded me. It was a little boy with dirty blond hair and bright blue eyes. He looked up at me and said,

"Where did you go, Jessie. I miss you." with deep, deep sadness in his voice my little brother looked like he was about to cry. I moved a brown string of hair away from my face.

"I'll be back soon, I promise." But then the screaming started again and my brother's face was replaced by my friend's, Arya.

"Why did you leave me behind, Why didn't you save me?" I felt a deep guilty feeling inside my gut at her sorrowful words.

"I-I couldn't have saved you," I stuttered, " I-I'm sorry..." I trailed off, falling to the ground. Then I felt the familiar heat of fire on my skin, and when I looked up, I saw him. The Fire Walker was "looking" down at me. I stood up as quickly as possible, but he rushed at me. That's when I woke up in a cold sweat. I looked around but there was no sign of fire or any light source.

"Are you ok?" I looked over and barely saw Dykota's in the dark. He was awake and looking at me, worried.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine," I said

"No you're not, you're shivering." he indicated my shaking arms.

"I'm fine, I promise, I just... I had a nightmare, and Arya and Kai were in it and..." I broke down into tears "I couldn't save them, I couldn't save him."

I tried to be quiet, but the next thing I know, Will is at my other side, and Brianan was at the foot of my bed, she's resting on my leg. Josh was leaning on the wall, giving me the "Sympathy" look. I felt something grab me and turned my head around to see Maple had reached over from her sleeping spot next to me and wrapped her arm around me.

Josh then said,

"Jessie, there was nothing we could do," He got up off the wall, sat down, and continued, "It was hard for me too, but we've gotta move on!" I could truly see Josh was also fighting off tears as well, but I don't know why. I mean 10 minutes ago he was fine but now.

"Um, Jessie?" This voice was Josh's "First let me say, that that was touching. Next, That was not 10 minutes ago, that was 10 hours. Finally, you said that all out loud."

"What!?" I yelled

"Don't sweat it though, let's just go swimming."

"Hmm, ok," I said, still embarrassed that I had said that out loud, but feeling a bit better. But, as I was walking over to turn the light on, Brianan raised her voice,

"Where did she go?!?" I still saw her, but by the looks of it, she couldn't see me!

"I-I'm right here," I said, reaching out. Then I walked forward and Brianan rushed me, locking me in a hug.

"Y-you disappeared," she said, sadness in her voice. Everyone was looking at me, shocked expressions on their faces.

"So, is anyone going to explain why you're so freaked out?" I said, my arms pinned to my side by Brianan.

"You literally melted into the shadows!" exclaimed Will.

"WHAT!!" I exclaimed, "But, that's not humanly possible." I rubbed my head after Brianan finally released me. Josh sighed,

"Get ready to hear some weird shit." he stated.
