1 CHAPTER ONE: THIS IS ME

"NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!!!!!" "NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!!!!!" "NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!!!!!" "NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!!!!!" "NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!!!!!" "LETS SAY NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!!!" I am here in front of the admin office of our school with the other students who are not in favor with the cutting of budget of selected clubs to add as funds for the sports field.. I am a member of School Paper Publication Club and Music Club..the Higher people wanted to cut our budget so that the sports field will be started to construct as early as possible...but we are not in favor for that. that's why were here....protesting... Hindi kami tumigil sa pag protesta...we actually skip our classes for this day para sa protest na toh...Matagal na naming nirereklamo to pero di sila nakikinig kaya umabot sa ganito... Mag lilimang oras na kami dito..sigaw ng sigaw...I am one of the leader.... "LETS SAY NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!!!!" Sigaw ko.... "NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!!!!" Mayamaya lamang...may narinig kaming siren ng police....oh men...they called a police.... "POLICE!!!! LETS LEAVE....." Sigaw ko....hindi sa natatakot kami it's for their safety.....other student didn't try to be in prison...I tried...many times.... 3 hours later... MERLYN GLOBAL INDUSTRIES "Mr. Merlyn...Your daughter is in prison....Again...." "What....???Why..??" "You should watch the news Mr. Merlyn.." "Okay thanks Sarah...." John Merlyn P.O.V: Like my secretary said...my daugher is in the prison again...i turned on the TV and... Meanwhile....News... "Hundred of students are in front of this University doing some protest...as you can hear it...they are shouting...NO TO BUDGET CUTTING!! ....I am going to interview one of their leader for this protest..." "Here she is...Kaye Merlyn..the Daughter of Merlyn Global Industries Owner...Ms. Merlyn why are you protesting here in front of your admins offices..??" "We are doing this so that they can hear our side our voices and our rights as a student here in Saint Joseph University....last year they cut 10% of the budget of selected clubs here for sports Gymnasium....we did not argued with them....but this year they did it again to us....they are going to cut again 30% of our budget...How can our club will survive with just a little amount of budget...they didn't even realized the damages it will bring if those clubs will be dissolve...they are only looking for the advantage which is making the sports club better..." "Thank Ms. Merlyn..." I turned it off....and dial a number... "Mr. John??" sagot nung nasa kabilang linya... "Yes...It me John Merlyn...I want you to fix the problems of my daughter...Get her out of the prison...meet me at the restaurant with her..." "Okay Mr. John...i will fix it for you..." "Good...See you later.." Kaye's POV: "Ms. Merlyn you are release..." Binuksan na niya ang selda kung saan ako nakakulong at lumabas na ako... "Thanks Sir..." "Next time don't do anything that can turn you into prison again....your name is listed here in my logbook many times...that's a bad record for the daughter of famous businessman especially the known Mr. John Merlyn.." "Whatever.. I'm going to fill that log book with my name on it.. So expect it sir...." then i put my hand in my head to salute the usual police officer who always arrest me... He just smile.. "Ms. Kaye.." Tawag sa akin ni Atty. Kim the trusted Attorney of my Powerful Father... "Thanks Atty. Kim..." "No you should thank your dad..." "Okay then..." saka nauna na akong lumabas papunta sa sasakyang dala ni Attorney Kim "Let's go Ms. Kaye..." saka pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto at sumakay sa passenger side "Where are we going??" nagtatak kong tanong kasi di yung way papunta sa office ni dad ang dinaanan namin "At the Restaurant... Your dad instructed me to get you out and see him at his favourite restaurant" "Why??" Nagtataka kong tanong "i can just go home" "Just come with me..." saka nanahimik na ito "Okay.." At the restaurant... Naghihintay ako sa pagbalik ni Atty. Kim...mayamaya ay dumating na rin siya.... "Ms. Kaye...The 2nd private room at the 2nd floor...your father is waiting in there..." "Why here...and what do you think my father wants??" "he wanted to talk to you.." calm nitong sabi "About what??" naiirita na ako bakit di masagot sagot ni Attorney Kim ang tanong ko "I don't know..just go upstairs Ms. Kaye..." parang naiirita na rin siya "Fine....!!" Umakyat na ako..habang si Atty. Kim ay babalik raw a office niya to take care some business which i don't care...Pagpasok ko..nakaorder na si Daddy ng food...Well good timing gutom na rin naman ako... Baritonong sabi ng dad ko Umupo naman ako... then kumuha ng isang apple at kinagat "So let's eat dad..." sabi ko habang nguya nguya ko yung apple "Not yet..." sabi nito "Why??" "Let's wait for him.." "Him??? Who???" Hindi na sinagot ni dad ang tanong ko dahil nandito na si Him....So that's him....So handsome...Is he going to arrange marriage me....if he will then i'll say yes.... "Meet Keith Sweetie...Your Half Brother..." Pasabog na introduction ni dad kay Him Half Brother..What the....This handsome guy is my half brother...why on earth a homdsome man became my half brother... "Kaye your brother Keith will be going back to South Island tonight..." Simula ni daddy "So??" nagtataka kong tanong "So you're going with him..." The what now??? !!!???I'm going with him???"Why???"-nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi ni dad.. "You know why Kaye...That's your punishment for the bad records that you've done here since you started studying in Saint Josph University in Central City you've been doing some inaapropriate thing which affects my business so you should go get a little lie low...." "Don't worry Sis..you're not living with me..you have your own apartment near you new school there.. and South City that's where I live in south island... is not different here in terms of Cities views and hobbies at night" "So you already enrolled me??" "Yes..!!!" Sabay na sagot ng dalawa.... "I won't go there.." pagmamatigas ko "Yes you will....It's best for you kaye... Smell some new air maybe that will help you fix your attitude...right Son..." And that's it...I am being punished...by my own father...God...I'm not ready to change a new lifestyle...I mean...i have been to South Island twice but that's a long time ago during our vacation with some friends....I've been living here since childhood and I am very comfortable here. Well then..before our flight I visited my friends to say goodbye to them...they cried....bakit raw padalos dalos ako sino na ang matatanggol sa inaaping clubs sa school...anung magagawa ko..it's my father's decision but i made sure to them na babalik ako... Time of Flight: "All passengers bound to South Island please proceed to boarding area now... Thank you" Eto na...paalis na ako.. Hello New town.... Bye Saint Joseph University .... Bye my Home Town... But i shall return.
