6 Chapter 6

"Hey! If you keep shooting like this all the birds will extinct."

Li Zian focuses on hunting birds. Those birds seem to notice her and start attacking her. Li Zian jumps lightly to lure those birds far from Zhong and Ling Min Zhe.

"Look at this bird." Zhong show Ling Min Zhe the birds that Li Zian shoot. Ling Min Zhe found out that the bird has a lump on its head, "This! Blood sucking bird! Shocked Ling Min Zhe stay a bit further from Zhong.

"How come there are so many of them."

"There is mass grave in this forest. It is the remnant of ancient war. The corpse worm is plenty there and the birds love to eat them."

"Liar!" Birds always stay away from corpse worm. Corpse worm will control that bird and turn it into blood sucking and the bird will spread the corpse worm to human, turning the human into blood sucking human. It dangerous! A whole city destroys because of it.!"

"Do not worry, everyone knows about this blood sucking bird and the corpse worm. The villagers here grew up eating this bird and corpse worm. Some of them bread the corpse worm for medical purpose."

"How come they are not infected?"

Shrugged his shoulder Zhong said, "I do not know. They just immune to it." Zhong pick up the birds on the ground while Ling Min Zhe try hard to not tremble.

Li Zian sitting on a tree branch waiting for Zhong and Ling Min Zhe. Not long, Zhong and Ling Min Zhe arrive, "What are your plan Ling Min Zhe?" Ling Min Zhe sits beside Li Zian while Zhong continuously picking up the dead birds.

"Of course, to be with you!" Zhong said confidently. He even smiles charmingly towards Li Zian.

"Why? There is no danger right now. You are free to go anywhere you want."

Ling Min Zhe stare into the forest, "I do not know. I just want to follow you." He touches his chest where his heart is located, "My feeling tells me to stay with you."

Li Zian sigh, "Alright, if that what you want." Li Zian jumps down.

She looks at Zhong and Zhong just point his finger towards the sky saying that it is Heaven's will.

Li Zian's house is full of people. She distributed the blood sucking birds to the villages. First comes, first serve. The villages really did not infect by the corpse worm and it stay mystery until now why they did not get infected. They will occasionally gather people to hunt the birds to prevent it spread the corpse worm outside the village. All of them praise Li Zian for sharing the birds, at least they able to taste meat. It has been a while for them to eat meat.

Ling Min Zhe? What happen to him? Well, before he managed to enter the village, Zhong grabs his collar and disappear. Ling Min Zhe lament his fate, he just wants to stay with Li Zian not with Zhong.

Today, everyone in the Li Family gathers at the village's gate. Li Zian's fourth brother is going to travel.

"Fourth, be careful on the road, if you meet robbers be sure to run as fast as you can..."

"Husband! Don't jinx your own son!" Mother Qing slaps her husband's shoulder.

Li Zian gives fourth brother the meat jerkies that her mother prepares for him.

"Master! Master! I did it! Look at this sword! Ha...Ha...Ha! I Li Zixin has manage to forge this sword!

"Fifth sister! Why are you spacing out?"

"Sorry fourth brother." Li Zian smile remembering the vision she saw.

"Fourth brother, you will be a successful blacksmith." Fourth brother nodded and the ox carriage start moving. Mother Qing wipe her tears wishing her son a safe journey.

"Father, fourth brother is not that bright. Can he become a blacksmith?"

"First, you do not belittle your fourth brother. Since he was a child, he did not have any interest in other things. It is good that he has ambition now."

Father Qi walks home with a sad face. That is his youngest son, ah!"

Li Zian is fanning herself under a tree, "So hot!" The sun is strong. She just finishes building the chicken coop for her chickens. Her ambition as a chicken farmer will start from here. Her father already helps her building the fence and she only need to relocate the chickens from her backyard.

On the way back, a few villagers saw her, "Look at her. Dreaming to rear chickens. They barely have enough on their house."

"Hush! I heard their third son give a lot of money every month. If not, how could they afford that land?"

"Yeah! The land price is rising again. It is five gold coins for a plot of good land."

An old man comes towards the gossiping woman, "What are you doing! Gossiping around, go home now! Those women quickly disperse after being reprimand.

"Li Zian! Wait!" The village head running a bit towards Li Zian. He is the same old man that reprimand those women.

Li Zian waits for the village head. Her mouth twitches a bit, 'This old man is quick. I thought he will come tomorrow.'

"Li Zian, I heard from Uncle Wang that you sold him some horn fruit's seed."

Li Zian tried to ignore his question, "Village head when did you comeback?"

"Just now. Say did you still have the horn fruit's seed? Maybe you can give a few jars for me?"

"Village head you are a respectable person in this village. How can you just ask me to give it easily? One small jar is equivalent to hundred silver coins, Li Zian said with respectable tone but there is a bit disdain can be detected."

"This kid! If not because of me, how can you get that chicken land of yours for only one gold coins. Hump! The village head face is red because of anger.

"Village head, that land you give me is a bad land. It is not a fertile land to plant corps." Li Zian crossed her hand and raised one of her eyebrows.

"Rebel!" I will go to ask from your father!" The village head storming off towards her house.

Li Zian shakes her head. Who does not know that their village head is shameless? Always wanting goods without paying but as the village head, he is good and responsible and no one can refute that... except for his shamelessness.

As she comes home, Li Zian sees the village head coming out from her house with three small jar horn fruit's seed. This old man sure ran fast. The village head sees her and showing off his victory and Li Zian just roll her eyes. This stinky old man.

"I am back! Father did you give that stinky old man horn fruit's seed?"

"Ha...Ha...Ha." her mother laughs out loud. Her father face just twitches a bit.

"Cough! He is an elder. Just give him some. When our family is poor before, he helps us a lot. Plus, do not call him stinky." Father Qi reprimand Li Zian but his face has a hint of smile.

"Alright, I know that village head will come to ask for it. Who does not know he use it to show off with other village heads?"

Li Zian relocates her chicken into her new build chicken coop. On the way back, she hears some argument comes from one of the houses. She wants to ignore it but suddenly a black aura shoots out from the house. Li Zian runs towards the house and kicked the house gate.

Li Zian shouted, "Stop! What are you doing? Killing people, ah!?"

A middle age woman throws the bloody stick far away from her. Under her feet is a woman that full of blood. She notices that the woman is protecting a child in her bosom. A small voice can be heard, "I did not steal. It is cousin who took it."

The woman that holding the child is sobbing and calming her child, "Yes, mom knows. Little An is a good boy."

Li Zian sees the black aura originated from the boy called An. The mother did not have skyrocket resentment. Still within safe level.

"Aunt Fang, what happen?" What makes you angry?" Aunt Fang still flustered with her previous action and did not answer.

Li Zian hurriedly moves towards the mother and child. She examines the mother injuries. Her head and shoulders are bleeding.

"Aunt Yu can you stand up?" Let me see Little An if he is injured."

Aunt Yu looks upwards towards Li Zian, her face is swollen and her nose is bleeding. Li Zian sigh seeing her injuries. Aunt Yu moves a bit and Li Zian sees Little An. His right cheek is swollen and there are no other injuries.

"It is the boy fault. He stole my money pouch! "Aunt Fang's shrill voice echoes on the yard.

"No! My son did not take it!" Aunt Yu defended her son. "He never knows or see your money pouch. How can he steal it?"
