2 Chapter 2

"Swoosh" an arrow shoot and directly hit the prey on the head and "thud" it falls to the ground.

"See father, I told you that I'm a good hunter."

Father Qi's lips twitch and his eyes is bulged not wanting to trust what he just seen. He only occasionally teaches his daughter archery when she pesters him but how could she be so good? That bird is hard to be hunted because its fly fast and it sharp claw that almost never missed its prey. Many hunters lost to it.

"I admit that you're good but does not mean you have the ability to survive in the forest."

"Father, you promise me!"

"Yes, and I regret it now. How comes you're talented in archery? Let's go home."

That night they have additional of bird soup in their table. Li Zian eats with relish. Seeing her happy daughter but gloomy husband Mother Qing did not know whether to laugh or cry. She knows that her Zian er is an adventurous girl and did not behave like another girl in the village. She did not like farming but likes to go hunting. If Zian er is a boy, Mother Qing did not worry too much but she is twelve years old right now and after four years her Zian er is at marriageable age. Who like a tomboy girl like her Zian er? Will her in laws accept her?

"Haih!" Mother Qing sigh is heard by Li Zixin, her fourth brother.

"Mom, if fifth sister likes to hunt let her be. I heard people in Zhang Village like spirited girl like fifth sister."

Father Qi just nodded. He eyed his fourth son. This fourth son is not strong like his eldest brother or wise like his third son but he is very keen with other people feeling. He seems to know what other is thinking just by seeing people expression.

"Zixin, you really know your mother heart ah!"

Zixin just brush it with a laugh and continue eating.

"Zixin, did you have anyone in your mind? You already sixteen this year."

"No. I did not intent to marry yet."

"Heh! Fourth brother...." Li Zian just wants to tease her brother.

"You shut up!" Fourth brother glare at her.

"Tsk! You can talk about me but I can't." Li Zian pouted her mouth.

"I'm your brother. It's natural for me to worry about you. You don't need to worry about me." Li Zixin pat Li Zian head. Rolling her round and lively eyes Li Zian continue eating.

As per promised, today Li Zian enters the forest after getting permission from her father. Her parent's reluctant eyes did not diminish her spirit. Finally, she able to go to the forest openly.

"Let's go to the south." Zhong appear beside Li Zian.

Entering the forest Li Zian reveal her cultivation and swiftly jumping from one tree to another tree.

"How are your eyes?"

"I did not feel the stabbing pain anymore. I able to see the black aura."

"That's good. Your eyes are slowly adapting. You are doing good."

"Oh! Are you praising me?

"Hmp! Hurry and try to keep up!"

Li Zian let out a small giggle and race with Zhong. They move forward into the deep forest. Li Zian and Zhong move further into the forest. Right now, they are standing at the forest boundary. The forest is divided by two. Level one is where ordinary animal reside and the spiritual energy is scarce. Level two is where the spiritual energy is strong and where demonic beast roam free.

"In these two years we only train in level one. With your level seven in Qi Refinement ordinary animal is a piece of cake for you. Demonic beast already opens up their wisdom and will have resentment unlike ordinary animal."

Zhong waves his sleeve and disappear into level two forest.

"You are on your own." Zhong voice echoes in the air and slowly blended with the chirping of the bird in the forest.

Li Zian just shrugs her shoulder. She knows that Zhong is serious about her training. She slowly enters level two of the forest. Her task is to observe the resentment in those demonic beasts.

A year ago, her Jiangong body is awaken and she will feel pain on her body especially at her eyes but it is not until last month she finally able to see the black aura. At first, she is shocked seeing the resentment of other people around her. It can be said that almost everyone has resentment in their heart and the difference is only whether their resentment is big or small.

Jiangong duty is to control this resentment energy. If the resentment is too big, the resentment will cloud one mind and that person will act only base on their madness and rage. They will hurt their enemy and the innocent. When the innocence is hurt, they also will feel resentment and this resentment will spread thus to prevent it, Jiangong is born. What Jiangong fear the most is when the chain of resentment is born. Chain of resentment is when people are under influence of another people strong resentment thus increase the resentment in their heart. This kind of resentment is very hard to fight.

"The resentment of the demonic beasts is minimal. Their resentment easily increases but also easily decreases."

Li Zian is recording her observation on her notebook. She needs to report to Zhong. As her spirit guardian Zhong is very strict towards her. He always said "I don't want my master to die young. It will tarnish my reputation in the spirit world," and with murderous glare from Zhong "So, you better die of old age than dying at young age."

Li Zian that listening to Zhong will always thought 'Zhong is really care about me.'

Shaking her head Li Zian decided to catch some fish for her dinner tonight. Arriving at the river she starts collecting dry branch and wood and start the fire. Then, she take out an arrow and tie it with a rope and the rope is tied to her wrist.

Slowly she enters the river and "swoosh" the arrow is thrown like a spear. Then, she pulls the rope. Looking at the arrow two big fish are caught by her. She puts the fishes inside a basket and once again resume her fishing.

After roasting the fish, Li Zian that is relaxing beside the river while listening to the sound of insect and the rustling of the leaves feels satisfied and peaceful. Her eyes gaze at the moon reflection on the river. If she brews some hot tea, it will be much more satisfying. Slowly sipping the hot tea. Ah! Satisfying.

Suddenly, Li Zian stands up and jump up a tree near the river. Using her special vision, she sees a man floating in the river. Li Zian takes the man out from the river and found out that he still alive. From outside there is no injuries but after checking his body she found out that this man suffers a horrible internal damage. His dantian is almost collapse and his meridian is damaged.

"Zhong this man is dangerous, right?" Li Zian face shown that she is unsure regarding this man condition.

"His resentment is barely above the save level of resentment. We will see if it continues to rise after he wakes up."

"If his resentment continues to rise, what should I do?

"If it continues to rise, we need to find the source of resentment. If it can be solve using the world law then use the world law to solve it. If the world law is not useful then as Jiangong you have authority to use other means as long as you..."

"Did not do evil." Li Zian quickly finish Zhong's sentence.

"Yes, Jiangong are human so they can invoke other resentment but they can't do evil. Always remember that."

"Understand."

"You take care of him. He is your first task as Jiangong."

After saying that Zhong immediately disappear from Li Zian from Li Zian's sight. Li Zian carries the man into her tent and scan her interspatial ring to find some herb for that man, she has healing pills in her ring but this is level one country. Pills is a luxury in this country, how can a small village girl have it? That man seems like experienced cultivator so he probably knows what medicine she used to treat him.

Noticing the man's temperature is rising Li Zian just boil some herbs to reduce his body temperature. She undresses that man and shamelessly wipe his body without any blush on her face. In her previous life what kind of man body, she did not see. Heh! This big sister is experienced.

Then, she washes that man bloody cloth until it clean without any stain or smell of blood before dry it in front the fire. In the morning Li Zian make vegetable porridge and its aroma filled the air. Any hungry person will be tempted by it. The man in the tent is moving and if you pay attention, you can hear his stomach grumble.
