9 The candle

For a brief moment Kaylin almost smiled but manages to hide it somewhat.

[System Notice: Zayxin noticed you were about to laugh, she will ask you later in private why]

"It is a pleasure and I look forward to it as well Jestra, thank you for the oportunity." Kaylin smiled earnestly because he meant it. After responding Kaylin turned his thoughts quick to the system. 'Is it possible to turn off auto Soul Contract, or are there requirements that have to be met that the skill will automatically activate?'

'Soul Contract has many sets, here is the info about it right now.'

[SKILL SOUL CONTRACT: This skill is used to make a soul binding contract between the summoner and the party entering the contract with the summoner. There are 3 ways as of right now for the contract to be made.

1. Summoner defeats the party in combat and offers servitude instead of slaying the party for them to respawn.

2. Summoner negotiates a contract and the party that is being offered the contract completely understands and agrees to what will be expected of them.

3. Summoner and the party have a high understanding and trust of each other, and as long as their feelings resonate the same way about the other, a contract can be initiated by the party instead of the Summoner initiating. This can be done automatically or notify the Summoner when a contract is trying to be formed. [Auto]]

As Kaylin inspected the skill he saw that auto cast was turned on for the third section, but could be set to notify instead. As Kaylin changed it to Notify when a contract is being requested the setting on the skill changed automatically as well.

Soon their drinks and cheesecake was finished. Jestra rubbed his hands happily as he finished, while Zayxin sighed happily saying thank you and how delicious it was multiple times, Jestra nodding in his approval as well. Kaylin smiled and picked up their trash and threw it away, rinsing off the dishes that were used for an easier time to clean later.

As Kaylin returned to his seat he started to speak, "So, I shall be going to a different world, kind of a weird thing to think about, but I am thinking positively. Of course when I first asked you tried finding some manual and Zayxin here scared the crap out of me on my phone. What can I expect?"

Zayxin straightned up at this qestion, "Oh! I am unable to give you all the details yet until you arrive on the world, however I can tell you a few things. Think medieval era with magic, and what is even crazier, there are different culture and building styles done by human kind, let alone the different races as well. I really can not tell you what other races will be living on the world you will be going to, however, since you have met me, I could state that there are different races." She shifts in her seat a bit, showing a small bout of nervousness, "not everything is at it seems, so please do not judge everything just as you see it before getting to understand what or who you see."

Kaylin chuckled at this, "Well that wont be too hard, since I had a divine being dressed as a jester appear in my living space, and now I also have an amazing dark elf assistant."

Jestra clapped his hands together all of a sudden. "Well kiddos, I think it is high time the birthday boy blows out his candles and starts his new exciting life!" Zayxin nodded enthusiastically at this notion.

"Candles? What candles?" Kaylin asked inquisitively.

"Well, when I say candles, I mean candle. One with such a beautiful finisher that it will be a perfect send off to start your journey! Is there anything you want to bring, or are you ready to leave at once? No worries about changing your clothes mind you." Jestra stated. "By the way, your candle is going to make Mr. BB jealous, he might just come to you at some point to get to know you!" Jestra chortled.

Kaylin standing up quickly in excitement looked at Jestra and Zayxin. "I am ready to leave now, there is nothing in this world for me. I am eager to start my new life. What do you mean by Mr. BB by the way Jestra?"

"Why Mr. Big Bang himself of course! Come come! We must hurry so as to not miss the candle! Zaxin grab Kaylin's hand along with mine!" Demanded Jestra.

Without hesitating Zayxin did just that and then all of a sudden the trio found themselves in a dark space over looking what could only be described as a dried out husk of a planet.

"Is that Earth, Jestra?" Kaylin asked.

"What is left of it at least, it used to be such a beautiful gem to look upon. Now look at it, brown, dried up and decrepit from all the fighting mankind did. Now is not the time to fret, for not it is time for a new world to be born! Jordutvidet is what the world shall be called!" Jestra threw out his arms up as if hailing the end and the beginning all at once. "It shall be called Jordu by most of the folk for simplicity sake. They will look at you weird if you don't say that, I do not know why. Now Kaylin, blow upon the Earth as if it were a candle! Have no fear for the souls on the world, for they shall be reborn and have no memory of this terrible life!"

At first Kaylin hesitated, and then remembered his resolve in having to take a neutral stand point. This world was dead, but a new one could be reborn from this as if a phoenix from the ashes.

"For better or worse, I blow this candle to not only start my new life, but give the poor souls on this planet the ability to try again in a brighter, younger world as well. May they rest in peace till they can walk the ground again." Kaylin said out loud as if saying a small prayer and took a deep breath. Blowing out from between his lips as if he was blowing a candle out. Before his very eyes a small flash could be seen on the planet as it all of a sudden started to break apart and explode in a bright flash the enveloped the three of them. At that same time he felt himself falling asleep, as his eyes closed he saw Zayxen and Jestra looking down on him with soft eyes.

"Well said Kaylin, the Divine of Justice heard your words and was moved by them. She saved the souls that would pass her judging scales to reborn upon the new world. Now sleep, for much time must pass before you wake. Also, happy 21st birthday kiddo! One hell of a bang to start it off on!" Jestra cheerily laughed as Kaylin drifted into a deep slumber.
