3 Jester surprise?

Clapping could be heard coming from the hallway by Kaylin. Turning to see who the intruder was, he instinctively readied himself for a fight. Only to see a scene that bewildered him.

"Ho oh! Look at what we have here! I haven't seen some dedication like this in years! It has me all in a quiver!" The intruder stated while holding his arms doing a shiver.

"Who the hell are you?!" Kaylin demanded, bewildered by the scene still, only to see that the intruders stance was that of non-violence, he slowly relaxed himself.

"Easy there kiddo! I am here because of you!" The stranger said pointing one of his fingers at Kaylin

Kaylin didn't understand, not only was his door only supposed to let him in, but he didn't even hear the door open or close. What boggled him more, was the stranger. Who was dressed in a jesters costume. Instead of black and red though, the coloring was black and white, his mask looked plain at first, but upon closer inspection. Kaylin could see what looked like 13 purple stars that seemed to make the strangers face a constellation. What really took Kaylin back though, were the eyes. You could see the stranger's eyes through the holes of the mask, and they were glowing gold. He knew no one with those eyes, never heard of any family with those eyes. Who was this person?!

"What do you mean you are here because of me?" Kaylin asked hesitantly, eyeing the stranger.

"Tut-tut, before that, introductions are in order first. Since you called me first unknowingly, I will introduce myself first. You may call me 'Jest'." Said the weird jester called Jest.

Sighing, Kaylin responded in kind, "My name is Kaylin, Kaylin Konva. I guess it is nic-"

"Ah-ah-uh. That isn't your real name is it?" Interrupted Jest.

With a disgruntled look Kaylin responded with more pride this time, "My name is Kaylin Kjonnvaeske. A pleasure, Jest." Kaylin nodded in acknowledgement of the jester.

"Ho ho! Pleasure indeed, it is! Sir? Ma'am?" Pondered Jest, "what a fitting last name for you, it does suit you well. Why did you change it?"

"It was not my choice to do so, being an orphan makes things difficult." Stated Kaylin. Shifting uncomfortably, no one had asked him how he saw himself, and didn't know how to respond to a question like that either. It was another reason why he was an outcast, his androgynous figure made many uncomfortable. Except this strange jester.

"Well, however you choose, bothers me none! But, to continue your previous question, yes, you summoned me. Actually, you told me to frick off and shut up because you refused to give in! You doing that filled me with so much delight! I haven't been told that in so long I almost landed face first on the floor when you summoned me with that resolve. ho hooooo! What spirit!"

"Summoned? You were acting as me with those thoughts? For all these years since my parents deaths? You-" Kaylin was getting ready to punch Jest when he raised his hands.

"Easy there kiddo! Yes, you summoned me because you passed my test, which were those dark thoughts you have been dealing with recently. However, the thoughts you have been dealing with for the past 10 years were you. There was nothing that involved me with that. Just todays."

Kaylin stopped as Jest said these things. Taking a couple of deep breaths to calm himself, and looked at Jest calmly for him to continue.

"My test was to see how strong your spirit of resolve to make change for a better world was. I was pushing you and seeing if you could go past your limits of emotions and seeing whether or not you would break and do it, or fight and find your inner resolve. And whoooo boy, did you find it! I didn't expect such a reaction, but your soul showed you could do it. Just needed the right push."

"What do you mean Jest? Why were you testing me?" asked Kaylin.

"With how you are acting, I am going to say your resolve even over powers some of the strongest folks I know." Jest stated with a chuckle.

What? Thought Kaylin, what does he mean?

"Kaylin, I am a divine entity, and you are the one that summoned me~!" Jest said loudly while cackling.
