6 First contract

"....Kaylin I offer Zayxin to be your first soul summon!"

Silence was all there was in the room after this was said, Jestra sat there awkwardly at first, worried he might have broken not only his secretary, but his first ever prospective to receive his boon for summoning. Though the silence didn't actually last that long. Soon Kaylin and Zayxin both exclaimed at the same time.

"W-WHAT!?"

As both parties exclaimed their shock, Jestra laughed uncontrollably. These two would be the perfect pairing to work together. Though, they more than likely wont believe that right now.

"Master Jestra, you can't be serious?! It is unheard of for a secretary of a divine being to assist a 'Boon Holder'. The ramifications for this could be disastrous!" Zayxin exclaimed worriedly.

"Tut-tut Zayxin, you forget something crucial at this point however. My boon is that of the summoner. As long as the party is willing or understanding of the situation they are in as to why the Soul Seal is being applied, my Boon Holder can summon pretty much anyone they wish." Jestra quipped smugly.

Zayxin looked at Kaylin who was just listening intently and looked a little bemused at what was unfolding in front of him. She was from the world he would be going to, though that was in the future for him, that was the present for her. Which sometimes could confuse her because of how easily divine beings could come and go to the past easily. What intrigued her the most though was that his stern face hid his emotions well, but his eyes, what some would think were just cold and piercing, she could tell they were in fact very amused and excited. There was no sign of disgust or malice, or any negative emotion that she was used to seeing from humans. Which led her to question something she thought she knew the answer to all too well: humans are all evil.... aren't they?

Kaylin, realizing that the person known as Zayxin was in a perplexing situation. Instead of pushing the issues farther, he left her to her thoughts as he got up and walked into the kitchen, softly saying pardon me as he brushed by Zayxin going towards the fridge. However what Kaylin didn't feel or realize was that in his heart and soul, he had accepted the entirety of the situation that Jestra said. Due to that, a crackle of what seemed like electricity went between the two which startled Zayxin. It was as if for an instant she could see what Kaylin had seen and been through, and she stayed there standing, mouth slightly agape until Jestra nudged her. Shaking her head she looked at the divine being she served and nodded. Kaylin was deffinitely someone special, and deserved a better chance to live compared to where he was now. Then she felt a gentle hand touch her shoulder, and turned to look at the person who touched her.

Kaylin had gone to the fridge to get a refreshment for Zayxin. He felt a little guilty that the respectable woman was put into a situation like this, and as he opened the fridge he was met with a funny sight, there say three beverages of his favorite flavor, and the cheesecake he was saving for tomorrow. Chuckling he grabbed the cheesecake and started to serve it up, placing slices on plates and opening the three drinks, placing a straw in all three bottles as to not make it awkward for Jestra. He grabbed the first slice and drink and walked over to Zayxin. At first he tapped her shoulder but got no response. Then, as he placed his hand on her shoulder, she turned to look at him, there was a brief look of what looked like worry on her face, but it was washed away with a soft smile as she saw him.

"Here, please enjoy, stuff like this is better with good company honestly." He smiled his natural big kind smile for the second time today. He loved the feeling, it had been too long since he had smiled like this. When was it last, jeez months before I found out my mom and dad were scripted I believe. He mused to himself as he placed Jestra's portion in front of him, which he exclaimed happily when he saw what was placed in front of him. After getting his portion of the treats he sat back down in front of the two of them.

Then out of nowhere Zayxin exclaimed. "I accept the contract with you Kaylin!" A flash of light suddenly happened.
