31 Aftermath 1 kumo's past.

Dream pov

~18 years before Sulcan ark, The Kingdom of light, Church of Xavi.~

In her small lifespan of seven years Kumo has felt a large variety of emotions and sensations.

Joy, sadness, anger, frustration , disappointment, hunger, rage, and many more.

However right now Kumo only felt one thing.

*Smack!*

*Thud*

"Again!"

*Whoosh*

*Boom!*

*Smack*

"Again, and this time do it right, or you will be put in the hole again, understood?" said a old tall man wearing blue priest clothing, while glaring heavily at a young Kumo.

Kumo wore a similar set of clothing as the old man but with some small differences. Such as it being lined with golden and silver stripes. Normally the piece of clothing would have been seen as elegant and fancy.

But Kumo's clothing had various cuts and rips on it . Thus completely destroying the elegance it previously had.

Moving on.

Bruised, battered, and bleeding from a deep gash from her head, Kumo was barely able to shakily nod before standing up and putting herself in a basic fighting stance.

Seeing Kumo ready herself the scowling old man motioned for her to come at him.

Kumo nodded blankly and steadied her breathing. Then without a moments notice Kumo charged forward with a calm expression placed on her face.

Kumo clenches her right fist readying it for a powerful punch while a baby blue color covers it.

The old man scoffed, he easily picked up on Kumo's movements and  readied himself for the attack.

*Thud*

Easily blocking the attack with his right arm ,despite wincing slightly at the force behind the punch, the man kicked at Kumo's left rib.

Luckly Kumo saw this coming and was able to quickly disengage with the man and  use the momentum of the kick to flip over him.

The man was old but not senile and took advantage of Kumo's opening while in the air.

With a powerful grip the man grabbed onto Kumo's right leg and pulled her towards him harshly. He cocked back a punch  covered in magic  and punched at Kumo aiming for her face.

Kumo, although barely, was able to move her head to the side only being grazed on her check. Even so that was enough to activate a automatic response.

*Boom*

*Crunch*

With four eyes glowing with power Kumo landed a devastating knee to the old man's face.

The old man's face shifted into a expression of pain and anger as he let go of Kumo's leg and screamed in agony, while throwing out curse after curse.

"Fuuuuck! You little bitch! You broke my fucking nose!"

After snapping out of her daze Kumo was horrified of her actions. Not because she hurt him bad, as in her opinion he deserved it, but the consequences of her doing this.

She could deal with being in the hole but to endure "that" again is something she would like to avoid.

Panicking Kumo attempted to apologise.

"I-I didn't mean to h-hurt you. I'm s-sorry, pleas j-jus- argh!"

Kumo while in her panicked and scared state didn't see a kick flying toward her stomach in time to dodge.

When the kick landed Kumo spat out a glob of blood and fell on her ass while holding her stomach in pain.

It didn't end there though.

"You useless *Kick* piece of*Kick* Shit*Kick*! You dare hurt me you fucking half-breed!"

With each kick bones where broken, with each word her moral was scattered, and with each second her hope was shattered.

In this moment the one thing she felt the most was pain. Both emotional and physical. A mind numbing terrible pain.

Eventually because of the seemingly endless strikes Kumo began to lose her senses.

Her once hawk like vision went blurry, barely able to see even the floor. Her impeccable hearing which once was able to hear a ant walking, could only pick up the impacts of the old man's kicks, and even then it was slowly being enveloped by a loud ringing noise.

The sense of smell Kumo once had that rivaled a dogs only smelt blood, her blood. Finally her ability to feel was becoming numb, Kumo slowly but surely felt less and less of the kicks the man did to her, until, she felt nothing at all.

In this moment she saw a darkness, not a evil one nor a good one, but a comforting one. One that promised all her problems to go away.

"This is it." Kumo thought.

"I finally can move on from this nightmare called my life."

"I can rest."

"I can finally be at peace."

"I can die."

However she was denied this right.

As quickly as the darkness came it disappeared just as fast when a white light took it's place.

Most would think this is the light of the afterlife

But Kumo knew better.

The pain which was previously becoming numb due to her slowly dying, came back at full force but faded away a few seconds later.

Kumo didn't get any time to think as a large hand wrapped around her throat and jerked her off the floor and into the air.

When her eyes finally came back to full capacity Kumo was face to face with a furious old man.

"Did you really think I'd let you go so easily? After what you did to me? Like hell I would." The man said with a snarl.

*Drip*

*Drip*

*Drip*

Tears began to flow out of Kumo's eyes.

"W-why?"

"Why? Why what?" The man asked.

"Why didn't you LET ME DIE?!"  Kumo yelled.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU LET ME REST, LET ME MOVE ON, WHY, w-why d-didn't you... let me have peace."

"Hahahahaha! Why? Alright then I'll enlighten you." The man said with a sick grin.

" You. Are. A. Tool! A very powerful and important tool but a tool nonetheless."

"So like all good owners of tools I can't have you break now can I?"

Kumo went silent as the man told her this.

"The Church of Xavi has put too much time into you to just simply kill you off. Therefore good luck with dyeing. Even if you did we'd bring you right back."

At this moment all hope, all thought of escaping crumbled into dust.

She felt empty, worthless, Broken.

Her whole world came crashing down on her and she couldn't do a damn thing about it.

"Now that you understand your position are you ready for "that" punishment half-breed?" The man said smugly.

Kumo snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the man with horror.

" P-please anything but that. I don't want to go through that again. Please." Kumo begged.

The man simply smiled sadistically and said one thing.

"Don't worry eventually you won't  remember any of this."

The last thing she saw before she passed out due to the stress of today's events was the smiling face of the old man.

Kumo -

Slowly opening my eyes, from what I could tell was a long slumber, the first thing I was met with was an unfamiliar neon green ceiling that had a snake pictures  across it. That wasn't all either as I felt the soft material of what I assumed to be a bed under me.

Taking note of that I began to sit up, though I realized my mistake not even a second later.

Pain ripped through my body in waves as I sat up causing me to groan in pain.

Laying back down I attempted to move my legs, only for the same pain to flare up again.

I took the hint at that point.

Mentally sighing I turned my head to the left and observed my surroundings.

The room I currently resided in was medium sized and was covered from top to bottom in neon green. Various pictures of snakes, some of which were unknown to me, were shown scattered across the room. In top left corner of the room laid a lamp that was shaped like a snake and shined dark green.

Moving on I turned my head the other direction and saw what looked to be the door to the room.

The door it's self wasn't that impressive. It was neon green and had a couple elagant snake designs on it. Pretty simple.

Sighing once more I turned to ceiling realizing that in my current state I couldn't do much.
