5 Chapter Four

I kept quiet I didn't want to speak,  I didn't want to ruin what I had with James. He was reading in the book aloud and I wasn't even listening, I couldn't help but stare at him. I knew he knew because he kept smiling. I finally looked down at my book. And I found where he was at in it and read read along in my head.  Math is hard for me but when I started listening to what James was saying about it I started to understand. It was getting easier.

After  two hours of that I had to leave and when I got up I got my stuff together. I was about to walk out his bedroom when I pulled me back, and he kissed me on the cheek. I smiled at him and left. When I go home my mom was sitting on the couch reading a book.

"Hey mom, " I said.

"Hey Jeremiah,  dinner is on the stove, " she said.

"okay, "I said.

I went into the kitchen and got dinner which was a grilled cheese sandwich with Mac and Cheese.
