With cameras flashing around, we walked unhurriedly one by one. Rosé took the lead followed by me stepping up the game with my Gucci nude studded platform pumps, Jisoo unnie with her n21 star embroidered organza dress matching her visual and Lisa came last like a chic cartoon character who just came out from a comic book wearing Pierre Balmain's black double breasted blazer and Vetements sock over the knee boots.

The previous teasers did not match with our looks recently since it was already prepared months beforehand of our debut. We are now currently filming for our new music video which wasn't included on the last minute for our first two debut single.

We just figured out it has been decided to be one of our comeback single maybe later in months.

That would really explains Lisa's different hairstyle from our debut MV today.

"Hi. I'm Rosé.. uh. I am really very nervous about our long awaited debut today, but we will show you a performance that will meet the expectations from our long training."

Despite with our hammering chest and being awkward in front of the press, we all still manage to paste a smile to conceal our growing nervous. Even though this is our exclusive debut showcase, we still can't help to feel nervous after years of training in YG.

Rosé addressed shortly and it was now already my turn.

I smiled as I look at the camera, "Hi. I'm Jennie Kim.. just what like Rosé said, we will continue to show more of our BLACK PINK color."

Feeling hopeful towards the fans, I made a cute bbuing bbuing and went to end it with, "Manhi saranghae juseyo.."

My head automatically fell down from embarrassment earning a chuckle from the girls. As if I did not just save their asses from doing that aegyo. These ungrateful kids.. tch.

Nervous coated with confidence, Jisoo unnie smiled at everybody.

"We will continue to strive to become BLACKPINK with various different sides.."

"I'm nervous now that I'm debuting with the members that have been with me for so long, but we hope that you listen to Whistle and Boombayah a lot and hope you love it."

Lisa's natural aegyo wrapped it all.

The showcase ended up smoothly and par to that, the press conference was held as follows.

"I feel like I'm dropping off my daughters on their first day of elementary school.."

As Mr. Yang's words echoed in my ears, my head was automatically filled with memories came flashing back like the VCR content earlier taken from our trainee days..

Lisa with her iconic short hair that stood out among the trainees with her amazingly crazy dancing skills. Next was Jisoo unnie always on her red hoody. Rosé sneaking out from our practice just so she could attend church and hearing her sing for the first time.. it was so unique that is science with frequency.

"I'm sorry.."

The smile on my face automatically faded when another picture was shown. It was me, crying on the phone while talking to my Mom.

I remember we were fighting for a reason I want to go back to Korea and pursue music instead of studying abroad.

"Mom, I'm so sorry.."

The bile on my throat keep growing as it went on.

"I-I can't be the lawyer you want me to be."

She was so mad at first. I know I disapoint her this time. I was the good daughter who always follows what she wants me to do but living in Auckland for five years made me realize something. Something that would change everything we've planned for my future.

I know it's a selfish decision to go back in Korea without them knowing but I was so young and eager to chase my dream and become an artist.

And now standing up right here wipes all the what ifs from the past years.

Those what ifs like I should've listen to her everytime my debut would rather being cancelled or moved for another year. But I'm glad she finally accepted what I wanted to become right now.

"..but I have watched them for the past six years, so I am confident that they will do well. I think the group's performance on stage will speak for itself."

The following days, Mr. Yang keeps on sending the updates of our debut song's chart activity while we're preparing for our debut stage at SBS Inkigayo on the 14th.

I know it's a little bit creepy and funny but he have made already an exclusive chatroom on Kakao for us, BLACKPINK. Not actually just BLACKPINK but his every group artists has an exclusive chatroom with Mr. Yang.

We didn't expect Whistle and Boombayah was well-received from everyone and gain straight All-Kills in consecutive. From All-Kills to Certified -All-Kill to Perfect-All-Kill.

Sunday came and it was 14th of the month already and finally our debut stage in Inkigayo. We arrived on time with our team and was surprised by fans who waited us outside the studio. During the pre-recording, fans flocked to cheer us making us more ecstatic.

"BLACKPINK fighting!"

"BLACKPINK saranghae!"

For starter, we were energize instead of getting tired hearing all our fans scream and support. We were shy at first and quiet get used on the next moment. Jisoo unnie and Rosé waved happily to everyone while Lisa keeps on mumbling 'kamjahamnida!' instead of kamsahamnida.

"Jennie-ah, can you do the Shy Shy Shy for us?"

All of the three members went to look at me teasingly. I mentally scoffed and smiled at that fan before finally doing the Shy Shy Shy aegyo.

"Uwu. Neomu gwiyeopta!"

"Oh my gosh!"

"Why Jennie is so cute!"

Our song Whistle did a lot of retakes unlike Boombayah. However, the latter didn't end up smoothly when I fell off the ground. I know it all made everyone shocked and worried but I didn't expect Jisoo unnie to cry.

"Yah! Why are you so clumsy?" Her husky voice cracked as soon as she went beside me to check my ankle.

"Unnie, are you okay?" Lisa and Rosé came to attend me too.

I laughed at the three of them. "No need to worry guys! I'm perfectly fine. See? It wasn't that serious. I can still walk perfectly-"

I tried to stand up only to swirled unto Jisoo unnie's side.

"Pabo! Who told you to stand up?!"

I rolled my eyes and stood straight. "Jinjja. I'm used to Chichyu brave not this softie unnie.. aigoo!"

After we wrapped up the whole recordings, we went to our team with Rosé and Lisa who was sobbing already making us all laugh from their cuteness. Aigoo.

But of course, not with our Chichyu brave who's back and cheered up the giant maknaes.

"..for our number one for this week. We have.. BLACKPINK's Whistle imnida! Chukahae!"

All four of us went to received the award still shocked with the result. We just finally got our first win in just 13 days after officially debuting.

"Uh, we want to thank everyone who's been a part of this success especially to our team of staffs. Makeup artist, stylist, Teddy oppa for this masterpiece , and boss Yang. Thank you so much! To our fans, we love you!"

Jisoo unnie spoke in continue seeing Lisa and Rosé getting emotional already. I was tearing up too after the speech and I'm so thankful she went to save us all.

That night, Mr. Yang sent us the screenshot of today's result with the total score of Whistle.

We all still can't believe we just got our first win at Inkigayo.

"I'm so so so very happy!"

"Me too!"

"Me three!"

"Uh, me four? What is this- oh my gosh!" Rosé shrieked after being sandwich by the three of us.

We know no space allowed when we're together, feeling this moment where all of our hardship for the past six years finally paid off.

"BLACKPINK in your area!"

Jisoo unnie's scream is a mood that made us all laugh.

"That was my line!" Rosé chided still chuckling.

"I was supposed to say that," I winked at her and hug them for one more time.

Glancing back on the phone's screen, the screenshot from today's Inkigayo that was sent by the boss was still showing. I squinted my eyes to see clearly the whole picture and saw something in particular.

I forgot we competed with one of the toughest rival and realizing about that, I turned to my members.

"Wow. Who knows we would compete and beat EXO.."
