12 Chapter 12

I walked out of the class, tired and sleepy, emma on the other hand was cheerful and fully awake. We were talking about the homework he gave and since i was sleepy i didn't pay too much attention to him. She was explaining the work to me while we walked to the cafeteria when james walked to us.

"So are you going to your apartment now or?" he asked, i completely forgotten about that but i wasn't going to let him down so i replied

"yeah lets go right now"

i could see Emma was still curious about the relationship between me and James so she decided to go with us. No one said a word while we were walking and it just felt very awkward, i tried to break the silence but that was a mistake.

"so you're going to go shopping for things later?" i asked while looking at james.

"yeah, i need some things around the house, including food" he answered looking away.

"you're going to go with your friends right?" asked emma. James fell silent for a while before replying

"yea"

"thats nice, you seem like a nice person" replied emma without making eye contact.

I could see james was a bit tipped off about that question and answer, he barely wanted to answer my questions and now a random girl asks him about his personal life, she wasn't mean about it, but its clear james didn't like it.

We arrived at the apartment and i opened the door. James and I walked in while emma insisted on staying outside. James walked straight into my room and immediately found his wallet under my bed, kinda as if he knew where it was. We exchanged goodbyes as he walked out of my room, i was feeling a bit sweaty so I decided to change my shirt. As i took it off i heard something small fall to the floor. It was a small heart shaped keychain, i wonder where it came from. I thought it looked cute so i clipped it to my apartment keys. I grabbed my bag and walked out where emma was, she looked bored alone.

"hey im back!"

"oh hey, lets get going!"

"you looked so bored out here"

"yeah, you get used to it when people don't like being around you"

"why don't people like being around you?"

"well basically cause i ask too much questions and am always excited about little things, they say i act like a baby"

"awww you poor little thing, i like being around you, its always fun"

"yeah, thats what everyone said before they got annoyed of me, lets change the subject, i dont like talking about this"

"sure, lets get a snack at the cafeteria"

"ok lets go!"

We speed walked to the vending machine, grabbing some chips and a coke each. She had a class different than mine so we were going to have to part ways. I was playing around with the heart keychain i found and she was curious.

"did the dude give you that? its cute!"

"i actually found it on the floor of my apartment after i took off my shirt, i dont know where it came from"

"he must have clipped it onto you when you weren't looking"

"well who knows, i'll ask him later"

She walked away to her class so i was alone again. i walked into my biology class and took a randomly placed seat. I took out my pencil and book to take notes of things, and i started playing with the keychain again. i took a closer look at it and it had two letters engraved on it, S and B. Those were obviously my initials, but were they? i found it on my floor so i didn't know if james put it on my shirt or not, but when i saw the letters i knew it was him.
