27 CHAPTER 26

PYRRHA NIKOS POV

Pyrrha stood on top of the Metal surfboard and willed it to gently rise up in the air.

Lifting herself took more will and effort than was usual. She didn't know if it was some kind of limitation of her semblance because she did find it hard to directly use it on other people as well. Especially if those people have a layer of aura around their body that actively interferes with her semblance.

That is why instead of using her power against the armor, prosthetic, or any other metal object worn by her opponent, she usually targeted their weapons or shields which didn't fall under their Aura's influence.

She had a feeling that Professor Glynda Goodwitch, who was probably the most powerful Telekinetic in the 4 kingdoms also had the same limitations as her and was probably the reason why Professor Goodwitch hasn't been able to fly under her power when she could easily lift boulders dozens of times her own weight.

But despite that limitation, her semblance had grown to the point that she was finally able to lift the metal surfboard under her feet, even if it took all of her focus and concentration to do so.

The Surfboard slowly rose up in the air.

One foot. Two feet. Five feet. Ten feet.

She heard the clapping sounds from the other side of the room and her focus wavered.

Her grasp over the Metallic Surfboard faltered and it crashed to the ground, taking it along with her.

She landed on the ground without any damage and turned to look at Jaune who was giving her an apologetic smile.

"Did I broke your concentration?" he asked with a sheepish grin "Sorry about that."

She shook her head "It's alright. I was just trying to take your advice to see if I'm able to fly using my power."

He looked at the Metal Surfboard she had created in her workshop and then back at her "So… did it succeed?"

She made a so-so gesture "Not under my own power. While I'm able to apply my semblance on my bracers and boots, the aura in my body actively interferes with that and lowers the power of my semblance."

"Ah! So that's what the large metal door is for."

"It's supposed to be a surfboard." She said, feeling a bit embarrassed. Sure she had made the thing in a very short amount of time but it didn't look 'that' bad.

"Okay. Surfboard it is then." He said but she could see his lips twitching as he side glanced at the heap of metal.

She punched him playfully and then grinned as he remained standing without any problem.

Such a simple punch would've sent him sprawling when he first began learning how to fight. He had really come far since then and had learned the proper footwork for a fight.

"So. Is flying with the aid of the Metal board working?" he asked, looking curious.

"It is." She replied, feeling confident in her abilities "It might not be as useful as flying under my own power but it's still useful. I have a feeling that with practice and time, I'll become quite good at it."

"And then you'll be able to take me on a Carpet ride like Alladin." He said with a teasing smile. Except that she had no idea what this Alladin was. Or what the Carpet ride entailed.

"Alladin?" she asked.

"It's… it's a thing from my past world." He said with an embarrassed smile "It's uncanny how often I forget that I'm now living in a different world."

And hadn't that been a surprise. To learn that there are other worlds out there. Worlds without the presence of Grimm and that her boyfriend was from one of those worlds.

"Aladdin was basically a movie about a normal street thief named Aladdin who comes across a magical lamp with a Genie capable of fulfilling any 3 wishes of its owner. The guy then basically enlists the help of Genie to woo the princess of the kingdom that he was in love with." Jaune explained. "In that movie, there's a scene in which Aladdin takes the Princess out on a date on a magical flying carpet."

She nodded, understanding what he was saying. Though… "It'll take me a while to get to the point where I'll be able to fly with a passenger. But once I'm good enough to do that, we can go on a ride. Though we'll have to find a place without Nevermore and Griffin infestation to do so."

Jaune shrugged "We can just fly inside the Pocket Dimension."

She thought about it and nodded. The Pocket Dimension was definitely large enough and if Jaune didn't have a problem flying inside it in his Dragon form then she couldn't see why would have any either.

Although "So… will you be my princess this time?"

Jaune rolled his eyes and then he wrapped his arms around her and picked her up in Bridal Carry.

"But you're already my princess." He said. And although the line seemed cheesy, she couldn't stop herself from blushing.

"You look so adorable when you're blushing." He said, his voice filled with amusement and her cheeks burned redder.

She gave him a mock glare and his grin turned even wider.

Then he moved forward and she licked her lips in anticipation before she tilted her head and allowed him to claim her lips.

She felt her heart jolt in her chest at the sensation and despite the fact that they've kissed more than a dozen times since their first kiss on the roof, she couldn't help it as her toes curled in pleasure and contentedness.

They separated a moment later and he gave her a soft smile before he moved forward and kissed her nose "My princess."

She blushed in embarrassment and hid her face in the crook of his neck.

He chuckled a bit, his chest moving with the action before he tilted his head and nuzzled with her.

They stayed like that for a while before she moved her head back and turned to look at him in the eye.

"Jaune. I wanted to tell you about the Dust in this mansion."

"Dust?" he asked, looking confused before it clicked "Ah! You meant the Dust kept in your Workshop. What about it?"

"Do you remember the food in the kitchen?" she asked and he nodded "Do you remember how all your stocks are filled automatically every night at 12 am." He nodded again "Well… I did some tests and found that the same happens with the Dust in my workshop. And what's more, the Dust could be taken out of the Pocket Dimension and can be used without any problem there as well."

He nodded again and she saw understanding dawn in his face "So you're saying that…"

"Yes. We can collect the Dust from the Mansion each day and then sell it in the outside world. Though I'm still not sure who we'll be able to sell it to." She said.

He frowned "How much Dust do you get each day?"

"Over 50 pounds."

His eyes widened at the number and he blinked "Oh. Wow!"

Yeah. That reaction was about right.

50 pounds of Dust was no small deal. And the fact that it was not an industrial-grade Dust but Military Grade Dust made it all the more valuable.

She told that to Jaune and he adopted a serious expression.

"You're correct. If we sell this to the kingdoms then we'll indeed be able to earn a lot of lien. Lien that we can then use to buy our own base in Vale or any other kingdom as well as a Bullhead to travel with. How much Dust have you saved till now Pyrrha?"

"Only about 100 pounds." She said.

"Hmm… Start gathering dust every day and store it in the Storage Room. I'll see if I can get a buyer in the black market for it. Though don't get your hopes up too quickly. I'm not really good at the whole Cloak and dagger business."

She nodded and he kissed her forehead before he allowed her to stand on her own feet.

"Well, at least I know what I need to do in my next Outing to Vale." He said before he looked at the Metal surfboard "I apologize for disrupting your training. Please continue."

With that, he wished her good luck and left the room.

She stood on top of the metallic surfboard and continued her Semblance Training.

—————

AN: Any ideas on how else she could use her Semblance to its best capabilities. She might not be as strong as Magneto (capable of lifting a whole bridge) but she could become like the Third Kazekage from Naruto with time and effort.
