1 Chapter 1: Noted

A great fog shrouds the sickly gray battlefield, then as the fog begins to dissipate upon this field, a battle emerges as a Sword hero, clad in brilliant Ruby and Silver armor, holding the magnificent Sewar sword, he goes into a sword stance and slashes his sword deep into the heart of the Minotaur, killing it. Unknown to the hero a second Minotaur charges at the hero, he then noticing this and says,

"Special Skill! Body Double!"

Sudden two of the Hero appear which confuses the beast, the beast attacks the left one, then the Hero screams,

"Wrong one, Die Monster!"

He then thrusts his sword deep into the heart of the minotaur killing it almost instantly. Our perspective zooms out to show a dark room only lit by a dim lamp and the bright screen of a computer, part of the computer's light is eclipsed by the shape of a young woman. She then stretches saying,

"Yes! That was a pretty good run for that dungeon, never thought they added the second minotaur in the recent update."

She then goes to her second monitor for a forum explaining the best strategy for defeating the King Minos Boss in the new arena, She then says,

"It would have been nice if they mentioned the second surprise attack... but I beat it regardless!"

She then goes onto her second monitor and starts typing away on the keyboard searching up the next boss in the arena, she then reaches for-

"I'm out?!?"

She says in her mind, she has noticed that she has run out of snacks, she then screams,

"MOM!!!"

Her mother walks through her room door and asks,

"What is it Yua?"

Yua then says,

"I'm out of snacks."

"Well, what about it?"

"I was wondering if you could get me some snacks…"

Her Mother crosses her arms, saying,

"Honestly, you can't stay cooped up in here for the rest of summer break. You have already been here for the last two weeks! You need to get out of the house!"

Yua responds,

"But, but…"

"No, you need to get out of the house, you might have passed your classes with flying colors, but when you go back to school you don't want to be pale as a ghost! So with baby steps here is some money, you need to start being more sociable with your classmates."

Yua then nods her head.

Her mother responds with,

"Ok, good! Now you can go get yourself some snacks from the convenience store a couple blocks down the road."

Yua then grabs the money and takes her empty bag, she walks down the stairs in her family house and waves goodbye to her younger sister and father, one off of school and the other off of work. She exits the house and her mother yells as she walks out the door,

"Don't get anything too heavy, I will have Lunch ready by the time you get home!

She walks down the road, already in the city she begins making her way to the closest convenience store.

Yua Saito, 16 years old, brown hair and hazel eyes, fair skin with an average body. She was not average in the head though, she was often regarded as the top of her class, she also has a very respectable attitude toward people and she has always liked to be a helping hand. She loves video games though and is a bit of a Otaku, so the only sort of social obligations she will attend are school and a few select clubs. She lives with her Mother, Father, and Sister on the outskirts of the Chiyoda district in Japan.

As Yua continues to walk down the road she begins to mumble,

"The next boss on that level has to be mythology related, and I can bet money it will be a Gorgon, as that is the creature that has not appeared yet…"

As Yua continues to walk down the sidewalk she hears a sudden voice in her head saying,

"Left, the child is left of you."

Yua without a moment to think looks right sees a wall, then she looks left. She sees a young boy walking on the crossing, when she sees this the crossing light was not on, A businessman screams,

"Hey! The crosswalk isn't on yet!

The boy continues to walk.

Then out of nowhere a truck drives haphazardly in the distance, Yua sees this and thinks,

"Oh no, that kid is going to get hit by the truck, what can I do!"

The Truck gets closer.

Yua continues to think,

"Will anybody save the kid!"

Yua then hears the voice again,

"You."

She hears this soothing, almost otherworldly voice, and thinks out loud,

"I have to save him."

The truck is about to hit the kid,

She then makes a mad dash toward him, and she pushes him out of the way then within that moment she feels something funny, not funny, hurting. She then wakes up she hears someone scream,

"She got hit! Call an ambulance!"

She blacks out, Yua then starts to feel cold and thinks,

"I don't want to die, I don't want to leave mom or dad or Akemi, but it hurts so much, I don't want to go."

She then hears that voice again,

"You have done me a great service, but you will die. Now I will give conscience back to your physical form. I will speak to you soon"

Yua thinks,

"What the hell? Who is in my head, and am I going to die?"

No answer,

Yua then begins to cry and thinks,

"This sucks, this really sucks, Everything hurts, Everything is broken, I never want to feel this type of pain again, I hope my family gets to lead good lives after this, I just never want to go through this pain again."

"Noted."

Yua begins to feel cold, but everything burns like a hot iron, she winces in pain.

She hates this, she has suffered almost forty minutes in total suffering from the pain, then as she begins to go really cold She lets loose a final breath and a final tear and...
