9 Chapter 9

After what felt like years of deliberation but was only thirty minutes, I settled on a pink and blue flowered dress that has a slit on the left side with a pair of black sandals and a shoulder length wig.

I grabbed my phone and walked out of my room; I hurried down the stairs and was shocked when I saw Michael waiting at the edge of the stairs.

"Oh, you're done. Let's go" I nodded with suspicion in my mind and walked behind him.

I locked the door and walked towards the car, sitting I'm the back with Michal who was scrolling through his phone.

The driver started the car and I looked outside the window, already imagining the words Mama and Aunty Ife would spew from their venomous lips. I sighed and unlocked my phone, scrolling though Instagram.

"Aunty Jadesola! Good afternoon" Saliu, the gateman greeted as he opened my door. I gave a small smile and glanced at the house which was almost as large as ours. Almost but it had a lot more splash of colours than ours.
